Finally, got new shoes... brown ones this time. Yeah, have been looking for a quite long time.
How come took me that long? Well, budget... design... style... etc. All that.



I love this pair. Wanted a bit lighter brown in fact... though, I am very happy with these.
Too bad that wet weather is ahead... have to hold the 1st step with these for a while. Maybe around Thursday or Friday time? Will see.

Hi, folks.
Realized that next door... a couple has new baby.
Of course, I don't even know them in person. Never ever talked to them.

Interesting couple, though. They do not really live in next door. They come to spend nights sometimes. Not every night for sure. And so suddenly, they got baby... CRYING ALL OVER!!!

Wait. This apartment complex isn't for families because of the space... very limited.

At least father of the baby now stopped smoking in the balcony.
Mother of the baby doesn't come out to the balcony for making call via cell phone.

That's good sign for me.

Fun night... got sudden invitation from a friend... for the concert. Had never been to Blue Note in Tokyo before. It's famous jazz place in Tokyo. Yeah, it's jazz night.



Benny Golson Quartet

Do you know of Benny Golson? He's almost 80 years old? He is in the same generation as was John Coltrane and other jazz legends.

Benny Golson was in the movie, "Terminal."

Man, it was serious jazz tonight. Cool stuff!!! LOVED IT!

Dinner was also good... perfect night, huh? Good music and fancy dinner. Oh, surely bottle of wine was also there.



Sort (indeed!) expensive night. Definitely worth it for me. Maybe another chance to come over here for entertainment soon!

Ramen (noodle) bowl and my favorite ramen called "Demae Iccho." Pretty cheap stuff but I like it much.

You cannot do any cooking without oil... right? Good pot requires good oil for sure. Don't you agree?
I spent quite bit on the pot... means I should do the same for oil.

Olive oil is the only choice... no other alternative in my mind from the beginning.
In Ito Yokado store, this bottle of olive oil was the most expensive one. Hehehe, this is it!

It's 1,000 yen (10 bucks) for this thin bottle!!!

Anyway, more and more stuff in my kitchen. I may end up in serious cooking sooner or later? Will see...

Okay - order I placed last week... now shipped and delivered. Two bottles came here.
One - sparkling wine from Spain. The other is French wine. French one is what I drank on French dinner the other day.
Spanish wine is totally new to me.

Didn't do much for 3 days... except 2 movies and French dinner (Oops, that was Friday night).

At least, I did major clean-up in my apartment room. 1st time in how long? Hmmm. Don't want to even think about it.

Worked in this morning. Had to. It wasn't that heavy... rather, under control. No pain.

Very slow in the afternoon. Even had a NAP. It was good one. How come I was so sleepy then??? That's the question.

Big lunch... lasted long enough as skipping supper. Seriously. That was it for the day.

Wait. Did I hear it right? Lehman (Brothers) is gone? WOW. This is the beginning of something big --- don't you think? No public fund to rescue the Lehman, huh. Shocking. Scary, too.

The preview was really well-done. Indeed. I thought that this would be great movie.

"Lapita" isn't my favorite magazine... though, October issue comes with mini fountain pen as gift pack.

Wow! I have checked so many different blogs about the pen. Almost all like how it is. Meaning, there is a good chance that I like it.
Thus, better get one for myself... before too late!

New toy for me, huh? Truly.

It was dinner tonight. Rather than supper. Since the training program for 3 days just got concluded... participants (trainees) voted for gathering to celebrate the course completion over dinner. Hmmm, good idea.

I totally misunderstood... after-session gathering is over beer. Well, I was wrong. It was rather over "WINE."
Youngsters' way of thinking really beats the old fashion style that I have.

Destination for the night... was French cuisine.



Restaurant "Concombre" located in Shibuya area. Close to the Shibuya Station. Walking distance.









Lamb. Pretty juicy and tender. Good one but small!!!



Well, better conclude the training session plus dinner were quite learning opportunity for me. I learned how the class should be taught... so that I can be the trainer of the class from the next time on. Really. Whether I like that or not... I have no choice.

Wednesday is over... two more days to go... into extended weekend (till Monday).

No plans for the day. Again!!! Yeah, am bored! Ready for another week? Of course not!!!
I have to attend the training for Monday thru Wednesday. Man, this is even more boring.
Still I have to learn something?! I guess so...

Today, I checked and gave some maintenance to those pens that I use almost daily.



Cartier pen - I changed the ink... from dark red-ish color to pure black. Somehow, I cannot decide the permanent color for this pen. Other pens... all colors are fixed. Why not for this Cartier pen? Hmmm. Don't know.

All pens are good to go... I love them all!!!

No plan for this weekend. I made some plan for myself.
I had some movie points that could be redeemed for free ticket... so I took advantage of that.
I saw a movie for free this afternoon.



"Hancock"

Yeah, cool Will Smith movie. Man, he's so cool!!!

I thought that this movie was about super hero made great job. Though, the story wasn't merely so.
More like human story... between super heroes. Hmmm, interesting.

Do you see this movie?! Better do that if haven't.

It was great entertainment on the day with no great plans.

Indian curry was like soup. Interesting... though, this 3,000 yen (30 bucks) lunch turned out to be LIGHT one.
