High School in Ogaki Made National!
07/29/07 Sun
Finally, the birthday present for MoonFlower is
decided. How many days after? (BANG)
She picked new frame (eyeglasses)... for her daily use. Then, I used my PLASTIC.
Deal is complete! (BANG)
About 500 bucks. Yeah, eyeglasses are not cheap! Hehehe.
Wait. Love is so expensive? What do you think?
Today it was election for the Upper Diet. Yeah, national level.
Did vote against LDP - Liberal Democratic Party. I wanted to promote the major opponent - DPJ (The Democratic Party of Japan).
DPJ came to hold a big win! Way more than all expectation.
In other words, it is historic knock-out for LDP. Bad game.
Will see how it goes from now in Japan's politics.
Prime Minister Abe tries to stay in the power? Maybe in vain? Hmmm.
High school in Ogaki - won the state championship game this afternoon... Ogaki Nichidai High now goes to Koshien (national championship).
Oh, am talking about baseball.
Ogaki Nichidai made 2nd place in nation in spring championship... so no surprise.
Actually, Ogaki citizens are glad to hear this great news!

Hottest Summer
07/28/07 Sat
Perfect summer day today. Did you go out? Under THAT
heat? Hmmm.
For me, it was nothing. Didn't do anything.
Of course, dealt with all chore... from laundry to dry cleaning. All taken care.
Oh, received last shipment from New York. Over a year... now it all ends. Good stuff? Sure. No mistake on this one. Very fortunate to have had this opportunity. Without this, things would have been totally different.
What am I talking about? Hehehe.
Spending time home for all day long... was quite sweaty. Oh boy!
No fun? Somewhat... watched TV quite bit. No big spending! That's how I can keep myself on the track.
Otherwise, I have been bankrupt for sure.

In the Maze?
07/27/07 Fri
Friday's conference call was shorter today! Usually
lasts for two hours. Today, just a matter of hour.
Meaning that I got extra hour to work on my stuff...
I could have finished this day short and nice.
Boy, I indeed dreamed about it. Yeah, just a mere dream.
I was supposed to do my job... but I ended up spending my time for someone else's. Really pushed my task back. Wow! This is a risk for now!
In the afternoon, listening to someone else's presentation... that was also for something else... When am I going to do my job?
I think that I were in a big maze. No ends. Don't even know that I am on the right track or not. I may be wrong already! how should I check and fix if wrong? That is something I kept asking myself. So far, no good answer.
Consulting isn't that easy job? Of course not.
Leading other consultant is also tough job. Hmmm.
Anyway, I should focus on what I need to do!
Pasta lunch. Two coworkers joined me over lunch. They kept laughing with me about topic that I bought up. Obviously, got good attention from them. Good break then. Really.

Exerience Tells More
07/26/07 Thu
Still spending quite time on educating new
consultant. That comes from the fact that she was
(still is) quite inexperienced. As professional
management consultant... she should know much more.
Knowledge, business idea, and sense of humor!
From 3pm, we held some a bit official opportunity for her.
She had to demonstrate what she understood after three days or so. My project manager joined me for this session.
My instruction was quite vague...
"You have to show us what you know about this company, financial process, and the like. Do not worry about project tasks... Understand the to-be model is after this. Just show us "as-is" model and explain it to us."
Did she pass the exam?
It's up to my boss. Project manager didn't show much about what he thought about that presentation.
For me, she could've done it much better if spending her time much more wisely. She had plenty of time asking other people, including myself, questions so that she would come to a better idea.
As consultant (this is also for myself), time management is critical On top of that, quality in delivery is crucial. Whatever you tell to others in the presentation... should be of your say. Have to understand that well and it should be part of you! Yeah, really.
I believe that this is what she needs to understand. Hope she does soon... after experiencing this task today.

Too Much for Lunch?

Red snapper was my lunch. Pretty darn expensive. Wow,
how come I could afford something like that. Yeah,
that's the question.
Until getting seated in that restaurant, didn't know what price range would be. That was my fault!
It was 1,600 yen dish (as shown in picture). Yeah, my usual budget for lunch is around 1,000 or less. Hmmm.
I should skip lunch for a couple of days from tomorrow on...
Can I survive like that? (Wow!)
Price was definitely reflected the taste. Man, was awesome!

Teaching is Something
07/24/07 Tue
Day 2... working with new consultant. Getting more
and more difficult for me. Obviously, I am not good
at teaching.
Kept trying to elaborate the terms that I dealt with for the task... when she didn't get it.
More examples mean more confusion for her. Why?
She has a big asset... bunch of notes from what I said... that doesn't work well as for her knowledge?
Lots of questions in my head remain unsolved.
The fault is all mine. I think there are someone out there much better than I am for this task.
Serious issue is that I spent quite bit of time on this... don't look at my own tasks straight. I am a bit behind! Wow.
That's scary.
Yep, teaching is something. Very difficult.

New Consultant
07/23/07 Mon
Great Korean BBQ lunch all the sudden. Wow!
New consultant from my firm just arrived. That lunch was part of our welcome.
Okay, now we are team... working on the same project.
Until today, I have been working by myself. Now I have subordinate supporting my tasks! It means that tasks are expected to be hard and tough... in addition to incremental number of them.
Things are getting more and more serious! Don't you get it?
To be frank... I never knew of this consultant. Met her last week for the first time. Truly.
Thus, I have no understanding of her background as well as speciality. For a while from now, I have to work with her in order to understand the way she does her job and to confirm what she can do! Hehehe.
Wait.
I have never been mentor to anyone like that (i.e. one-on-one basis). Have to manage her? Hmmm.
Hope things would go smooth and flat.
Yes, BBQ was great! Meaning I got reward in advance? Wow!

Happy Birthday, MoonFlower
07/22/07 Sun
It's your birthday, MoonFlower. Happy Birthday!!!
Oh... of course, I don't tell how old you're to other
people.
Highly confidential. Hahaha.
She had some previous engagement for this afternoon and I came to see her late afternoon. Like 4pm.
Had very late lunch with her in Oazo shopping mall. Went to eat famous Curry Udon... and ended up eating Japanese Soba Noodle.
It was actually great!
She picked up some cosmetic goods while on shopping then.
Wait. We (precisely, I) didn't pick any present for her?
NEGATIVE.
She hadn't decided what to want. She mentioned eyeglasses... which was out of stock when we went to shop last week or so.
Thus, what's going to be? Hmmm. It's all up to her. She decides and I will pay.
We probably finalize this some time soon like next week or so.

Dentist
07/21/07 Sat
Happy Birthday, Kirk! It's your BD, isn't it? (am not
100% positive, though)
Early morning. Woke up around 7am. Unusual as Saturday morning. What happened? Nightmare?
Not really.
Had scheduled call then. To US. For free! Hehehe.
It was with Megan Hundley. Sounds Familiar? Yeah, she was my classmate at Thunderbird. I know her husband Mike, too. He's magician guy! Remember?
Anyway, this was internal connection to her. I found so.
She got new position over this company which I work for as this project right now.
Found her in the directory recently... and came to schedule this call for today.
Yey! I reconnected my self to T-bird like that! How fantastic this is!
Valuable 30-40 minutes in Saturday morning. Priceless.
Came to know more up-to-date of other T-birds. Great! Good stuff.
The other event in the morning. Dentist. 2nd appointment. No big deal. Came to know confirmed fact that there was no problem in my teeth. None of them has problem right now. Good!
Doc told me that I should keep up with good work and good brushing. I guess, I know how to do things right... as far as inside mouth concerns. Hehehe.

Company's Meeting
07/20/07 Fri
Wow, thank God!!! I made another pay day today!
Meaning that I managed another month till today,
financially. Great stuff.
Today... different schedule.
Until 11am... I participated in the worldwide conference call. Usual Friday stuff.
From 9am until the end of call, I practically couldn't do anything else but just listening... Hmmm.
Left work (client's site) around 3:30pm. Had to go to MY company office. Yeah, had to attend some internal training class.
"Logical Thinking" the class was about.
Yeah, it was interesting. Did I learn any? Sure. I spent very VALUABLE two hours then.
Afterward, company's all hands meeting was held.
We came to know of Q1 result which was pretty positive. Good news. Hopefully, it turns out to be good news to my wallet.
We have some consultant who is really look-like. To whom? Actually, ME!
Yeah, lots of people thought same thing. Really.
Thus, that guy and I exchanged eyeglasses to see how others would react. Everyone loved it!
Maybe we can try to go to each other's project site to see how it possibly goes. Hehehe.
That fellow loved my brand new red Mikli frame... which he would never ever buy. You know what I mean.
He kept putting them on for a while to let so many others to see. He must like it badly...
In future, possibly I can share the picture of this fellow with y'all.
Not much drink tonight. Have an early call tomorrow for some reason. Hint hint!

Long Lunch
07/19/07 Thu
Happy BD, Amy! Hope everything is okay with you! It
was quite long time ago when I saw you... Am sure
that you made some progress afterwards since then.
Usual working day. No problem... no trouble... no disappointment.
Oh, went out for lunch with client... Actually, three of us from the same department. Two female members and I got together.
Walked over Roppoingi from Tokyo Midtown.
I usually eat my lunch at my desk. Rare to go out.
Though because of them... I came to know more about what restaurants out there in the area. Yeah, every educational.
I then listed several new places that I would like to go for lunch in near future.
Took us hour and a half for this lunch "trip." Yeah, we checked many places without eating.
No wonder of Japanese female power like that. Hahaha. Yeah, surely they were so energetic. No doubt about it.

Restaurant "Botanica" in Tokyo Midtown

Food&Travel
After hitting the sack around 2am... got up around
6-ish. Too early? Well, got a work! Hmmm.
Long day? Well we had some event.
It was a big lunch. It was total extended lunch from 11:30am till 1:20pm.
Wait. How long was that? It totally made me slow the work down for whole afternoon?!
Not, really. Had a productive discussion with client in the afternoon. Yeah, I added some value to client's idea and methodology. This was great.
Restaurant called Botanica located within Tokyo Midtown... Very popular like very hard to get reservation.
Who had the connection? More than 30 people from the work place attended that lunch session.
Course menu lasted very slowly... no wonder all of us had to stay that long.
Certainly, great food! Funny thing is that I still cannot tell what cuisine the restaurant's speciality was about. It was mixture of French and Italian. Not just one way or the other. Hahaha.
Besides great foods over lunch... had several calls regarding to possible job advancement.
Wait. Just got this position back in February... already decided to move on?
My answer is... NOT REALLY. But some people out there just brought it up. Yeah, totally out of blue! Hehehe.

Hi folks. Showed up at work late this morning due to
my personal "errands." Yeah, had to go to Ward Office
for copy of residency registration. Then went to the
office for work. It was about 10 to 10 o'clock. Yeah,
about 20 minutes later than my usual timing.
Then I left office for the day around 5:40pm.
Wait.
How much time did I work for the day? About 8 hours? Let me count... Oh boy, less than 7 hours! Isn't that illegal? Breach of contract? (not really, though) Hahaha.
You know, had to make up afterward.
Left work that early not because of personal reason but also business purpose. Had an internal meeting over dinner. Yeah, it took place in Italian restaurant in Azabu area. This area isn't of my territory... thus, it was interesting to go that location.
Food was great! Yeah, I continuously talked about the business over dishes... didn't concentrate on tasting much. That was too bad. Though, I can tell that it was great food. Maybe, personal visit some other time.
This is closing drink - cappuccino. With what? SNOOPY! How cute! Interesting surprise then. Hahaha.
After dinner... came home. It was already late. Almost midnight.
Though, tonight's bed time was quite far from then. How come? Client's request had to be complete before hitting the sack tonight.
Around midnight, resumed working. It was for client's presentation for tomorrow. Yeah, not much time left.
I was quite slow to get it done, though.
ALMOST - going to spend entire night. Yeah, that slow.
Though, eventually wrapped it up around 2am.
Anyway, task is complete! Ready for tomorrow.
Wait. How come I have another dinner appointment tomorrow. What happened to me? (BANG!)
Suddenly, so important person? Hehehe.

Movie
Hi, folks. Did you see the news from Japan?
Huge earthquake hit the northern part of Japan TWICE today.
Well, no damage over Tokyo area. Please note that I am safe... so are my family members and friends.
John McLane came before Jack Sparrow. Yeah, what do I mean? M O V I E, right? Hehehe.
"Live Free or Die Hard" - Japanese title is simply, "Die Hard 4.0."
MoonFlower and I hadn't see any movie for a long time and we decided to see a movie today.
Yep, John McLane movie.
Better than predecessors? Well, don't know. However, the action was certainly great! My eyes were kept open and dried out!
Just kidding. That is exaggerating.
Next movie... probably, Jack. Probably. Maybe Harry? (BANG)
For your information, I have never seen any Harry Potter movie before. Simple is that. Period.
Okay, long weekend is over! Ready for work? Yeah, things piled up already.
Good night! Zzz

Yeah, MoonFlower Brought this up to me. Thank you!!!
Great sweets. Her primary practice is baking bread...
now making pastry is great addition. Wow.
inside: pineapple & mango
Yes, needless to say... this was great stuff. She can make some money from doing this. Is that her intension in near future? I doubt it, though.

It was sort long day. NOT physically - I mean.
Though, things really made me feel like a long day.
Hmmm.
Many different things for today... things seemed to be changed from even yesterday.
Well, I'll handle them well from now on for sure. Yep, I make that happen.
How come so confident? Hmmm, good question. Somehow, I feel very positive.
After wrapping the day up, went to Mitsukoshi department store in Ginza. Yeah, finally went there for pickup.
Grey Paul Smith suits. Yeah, 2nd PS suits for me.
Next week... from Tuesday till Friday (Monday is national holiday) do I get a chance to wear these?
Better avoid rainy day... as well as hot day...
Am I excited about these? Of course, these are cool stuff.
Typhoon is really coming! Alert!
This is going to be messy weather over weekend... Oops.

07/12/07 Thu
What's up, folks? Big surprise hit me over my supper.
You know, Japanese fast food restaurant called Matsuya - this is the place I often go for supper... particularly when I eat curry over rice. This dish was priced at 350 yen.
Somehow, I found it 300 yen. Really? Indeed.
Oh, it was limited special until July 19th. Wow! I better go there again! (BANG)
(originally, I thought that it was permanent discount...)
At least one good thing happened over me. That's good sign!
Who said that big typhoon was coming? Yeah, really. Over this coming weekend... extended weekend to be precise... typhoon seems going to mess it all up! Hmmm. We'd better watch out!

New Stuff in My Closet
07/11/07 Wed |
Shopping
Did I tell you that I got a little package late last
night? Didn't I tell you?
Well, the content of the package made its debut today!
What was it? Actually "THEY."
After selling my Fujifilm digital camera on the Internet auction... I spent some money from that. About 5%. Yeah, just cinco por ciento!
These are Paul Smith cufflinks. Yeah, their pair in my closet.
Color is actually pink-ish. Not bad, huh? Well, it's MY taste... not important if you like this or not.
As far as I make myself really happy...
How do you like them?
These were cheap because they're no longer current model. Rather, these are old style... I guess. But that's totally okay with me.
Oh found a fact that project manager who showed up to my place today were also wearing cufflinks. Much more conservative than ones that I wore. Well, they were BVLGARI. No wonder! Hehehe.
Of course... he's my boss for current project. Makes big bucks for certain. Yes, you beat me, master!
Another slip in my mail box. From Post Office. Small package delivery, huh! From US? What does that mean? Hint hint!
Good night.

For whom am I making Training Material?
07/10/07 Tue
Busy? Not as busy as I previously thought. Funny
thing is that I received a message into my cellular
phone from Project Manager. Saying, "Please come to
work today (Tuesday)." and other stuff.
Wait. Does that sound like I refuse to work?
Sometimes (most the times?), I wonder how in the world he phrases like that?
Probably, he doesn't (most definitely) articulate things well. For me, reading between lines is critical to see what to do with issue that he raises.
Hmmm, extra hardship? Already, am about used to. Hehehe.
Two major things to do for the day.
One, I was making (still not complete at the end of day) PPT for training. This is for sales staff over Asia. I spent most of time to write script for the presentation. Didn't know how deep I had to go for this. Training in this case is more like "informing." Giving the condition with basic rules. Though, they are not the ones to run the operations. They just need to know how it all works.
Thus, decided to go "light."
The other... I was making Project Charter... for coming consultant.
Project - unlike one in MBA seems alive... the focus set at initial stage doesn't mean anything at the end, sometimes.
Meaning, it is important that all understand where the Project kicks off.
That is why I was making such charter.
Also, supporting material along with charter for new consultant. He / she should have easy understanding about what project can provide with him / her. So he / she can tell how well match the expectation and reality from the project.
Hope this would be of help... This may be total waste. May not use it at all.
So what? It's okay if I never use this. Prepared this just in case.
Left office around 7:30pm. Almost forgot about there was a package delivery home tonight.
Made home about 8:45pm. Though, delivery was missed. Well, soon after I got home, there was a bell ring. Yep, delivery was there.
Thank God, I made it.
Tomorrow, busier than today for sure. Hmmm.

Make-up PTO Today!
07/09/07 Mon |
Food&Travel
Wow, so many T-birds replies the message that I sent.
THANKS! Good surprise. Didn't expect that many to be
back. Always feel good about such sincere people to
keep in touch!!! I never forget them.
Funny thing... getting more and more difficult to write back every one of them. Hahaha. I should make some efforts doing that, though.
PTO - Paid Time Off today, making up Saturday, May 12 when I worked.
Woke up at usual time for work... Started laundry and other stuff. Then, went to a nearby orthopedic clinic. My pain over shoulder due to stiff neck and over lower back... should have been treated. Well, now much better after treatment.
I was told that I worked too much.
Of course, I have not-easy-job in general! Sometimes, it's very hard. You tell me that I should quit? Of course not.
Anyway, that clinic is very close to my apartment. Should check up time to time... so that pain can remain under control.
About lunch time, went to Aoyama / Omotesando area - my favorite shopping district (in addition to Ginza).
I came to meet MoonFlower there. She was also taking PTO... not for me, though. She had some other engagement (BANG!).
She didn't look too well. She's having problem in health and we had lunch and coffee... didn't do much otherwise.
at "Piece of Cake" cafe. Her favorite place in the area. We hadn't been there for a while. Yeah, we used to come this place quite often.
Funny thing... I missed picking up dry cleaning. Hmmm. That's my bad. Do I have enough shirts and suits for this week? Of course.
Okay, let's work! I need to do some work for sure! Task for this week is somewhat hectic... better get it done, though. Will do!

No Plans... Wasting Weekend Time?
07/08/07 Sun
Did I say that there was no plan for today? Yeah,
truly nothing.
Woke up at usual time... checked the news program covering the last entire week. Good catch-up.
Chat with Grace in NYC... wow, she's in NYC, too? Good for her. Lots of friends started their careers, after Thunderbird, in NYC...
Meaning various places in NYC for me to stay! (BANG)
I'd better plan some trip to NYC BEFORE they start forgetting about me.
Solution? Ought to keep sending messages so that I can remind them time to time. Hahaha.
If you have alternative solution, let me know. I would LOVE to know.
Watched TV for quite time. Almost all taped programs... I watched.
Finally, left apartment. Yeah, I should get some fresh air. No particular reason... but I went to Akihabara for window shopping.
Yeah, my "usual" destination - Yodobashi Camera (big computer store).
In 9-story- building (yeah MUCH bigger than CompUSA or Fry's Electronics!) I checked things from digital camera, stationary, and Macintosh. This is pretty much my routine. Yeah, really.
No purchase. Please note that I am STILL broke. Yeah, big time!
Thus, I wanted to buy... but I have no money... Neither in wallet nor in bank account.
I better stick with what I have... Particularly about the camera with two lenses... I use and if I wear them out, then I can consider of next phase.
Will see if I don't change mind about that soon or not. Hahaha.
At least I sold one camera and one lens...
On the way back... ate supper alone. Sushi - sort fast food, though. Spent 20 bucks! Ate too much then. Hmmm. Sushi is raw fish... definitely not bad for diet... Though, I should be careful about how much to eat.
Tomorrow - no work. This is sort mandatory PTO - Paid Time Off. Remember that I have accumulated 8 days to make up since last project didn't allow me any weekend. Remember? Thus, I have to take some time off.
Tomorrow, it's first day of 8 days. I'll take rest of time off some other time.

Big Mailing List and Dentist
07/07/07 Sat
No big plans... just like last weekend. Only thing
was of appointment.
First time that I go to dentist since coming back to Japan. Well, went to dentist once while studying at Thunderbird.
It's been 1.5 years. About time for me to go for check-up. No more bad tooth for me... thus it is crucial that I do check-up periodically.
Living in Koiwa- don't know of anything about who is good dentist in this area. Thus, I had to choose almost randomly. Selected by how it looked from outside. Well, after appointment this afternoon, I felt that I made reasonable choice.
Full of IT for informed consent at that dentist. PIctures of all teeth in addition to X-ray.
No bad teeth found. That was a relief. Great to know!
Finally, did it.
Checking MTB - My Thunderbird intranet... checked out so many email addresses of all my old friends from the school.
Ended up with sending single message of my up-to-date with so many email addresses.
How many email addresses? As far as I know... about 90 or so. Yeah, NINETY.
Ben... Creigh and Pimpinee emailed me back right away! Thanks! I found some friends still out there!
Looking forward to hearing more for sure. Great catch up with folks, having great interest in what kind of job in where they do for now.
Tomorrow, no plan for Sunday, either. Hmmm.

City of Ogaki Made It Once Again!
07/06/07 Fri
This is Ogaki people's tradition in every summer!
This summer is no exception. Today, I confirmed that
Seino Transport, the biggest corporate whose
headquarter is located within Ogaki, won the regional
elimination round to make National Intercity Baseball
Tournament held in Tokyo Dome.
Yeah, way to go!
This is great news because I
always come to the Dome for cheering every game
if over weekend.
Japan Tour... sounds like music concert or something. Well, one of small tasks with the project, we have a Japan Tour covering:
Tokyo
Sendai
Nagoya
Osaka
Hiroshima
Fukuoka
Yeah... am still core member of the team for the Tour... though, I confirmed that basic concept is that I don't have to travel for this. I just provide supports from Tokyo. Well, this tour starts from August 21st... will see that this basic concept doesn't change until then... or until the end of tour schedule (2nd week of September or so).
To be frank with, I would love to go to Fukuoka (Kyushu). Hehehe.
Went to lunch with female coworker... one on one! Wow... what happened to me then? (BANG!)
Found so many requested in FaceBook queued. So many T-birds requested me for link. Yeah, about time for me to send out some message back to them. I should no longer be stranger to them. I know, didn't do my homework for long time. My bad!
On the way home... made a stop at Ginza Mitsukoshi (department store).
Yep, did it again. Bought a new suits at Paul Smith. 2nd PS suits for me. This time, grey one.
It just started summer sale... though, suits aren't subject for sale. Thus, retail price is unchanged. Too bad.
Meaning, I spent big bucks... no discount.
Alteration takes a few days... I can pick them up on 11th or afterwards. Cool!!!
Yeah, way to go!

Another Consultant Coming
07/05/07 Thu |
Work
Too many career opportunities? Contacts from
recruiter / head hunters are really endless. I got
another one telling me that I should apply to BCG.
Yeah, Boston Consulting Group. No way! I never
thought that I would be contender for a position at
that kind of world renown company.
Of course, I am still consultant who faces things in learning phase. I should take time for next step. That's how I think... at least today.
Here is an issue.
Now it is pretty much official that another resource is to be added to the project. It means that I am going to supervise someone...
My project manager told me that I should train that person because of not experienced much.
WAIT!
I personally just started this career. How in the world I can be ready to train someone else! Let me concentrate what I need to do so that I can bring out necessary outcome for this project so that I can make client happy.
Now, it is --- I got extra hardship. Hmm.
Don't even know who would be in that spot. As per project manager, I can be part of interview process. Will see what I can do with this. First, I have to clarify what competency that person should have at minimum.
Funny fact found today.
I usually work on 26th floor. Happened to stay on 24th floor... where sales people have desks.... GREAT VIEW! Not necessarily for the one through the window. Just look at people working for the section. I mean female.
Almost all (some exceptions) are so good looking!!!
Since I am classified as "Mobile Worker" on corporate registration... I can work any place on any floor. I can stay on 24th floor all the times without supervisor's permission. Really.
Don't know if I have guts to do this, though.

Three Invitations and No More Stranger
07/04/07 Wed
What's up, folks?
Got three emails with invitation. Yeah, new job... Wait a minute. How in the world do people get such (personal) information? Am sure that thats their job. Though, so surprising.
Three positions... All of them are really good companies and interesting positions.
Well... not so fast. Don't think I should move on for now.
No longer stranger...
Old friend from T-bird... Mario and I chatted on Skype. He's back in his country... for new job. Congrats!
Apparently, everyone thinks that I am not good at keeping in touch with people.
TRUE! (BANG!)
I'd better write them all soon. Very soon. About half year after graduation. Hmmm. Most of friends are no longer on campus. Rest graduated in May... as far as I know. Very few remaining on campus like Keira (f. from Thailand).
Will do write y'all soon.

What Was I Thinking?
07/03/07 Tue
It is my first day to be in the office for this week.
Yeah, worked home yesterday... that's why.
Well, I made interesting remark to one of top executive on the hall way this afternoon.
Told that executive, "How was your weekend?"
No particular reason, this MONDAY phrase popped out of my mouth.
Yeah, totally my bad. Though, didn't realize that it was Tuesday. That executive kindly responded to me... with some facial expression "how come that question for now?"
Couldn't solve that right away. After a while, I came to the conclusion... I had wrong sense of time at that point.
Work was fine except one concern. Have been wanting to contact one person (Indian fellow) in Singapore office. This person was away from the office for almost week. Without his contribution, this particular assignment doesn't go anywhere... Hmmm.
For this, still have some time... it should be all right, I presume.
Tomorrow --- Wednesday... will keep that in my mind.

Fun&Humor
Hi, folks. What's up? Finally, got a chance to talk
to Abhijeet... working home is advantageous for that
kind of additional (!) communication with my dear
friends. Time difference isn't the issue when working
home! Hehehe.
Difference between working in the office and at home? Well, the significant difference is that drinks are all free in the office! All drinks are on me home!
Big difference, isn't it?
Two laptops... working and person computing at the same time. HOW?
Hey, wanted to talk to a girl in HKG and Indian IT tech person in SIN... both don't come to work today? It means no progress for me today!
Late lunch. Finally left from the computer around 1pm. Made a stop at local post office to send out S9000 to Hokkaido where the highest bidder lives. Yeah, it's finally gone!
Arrived at a place not too far from my apartment. Old-fashioned cafe called "TACT" - pretty famous over the Net. How come? This picture tells you everything:
HUGE dish! Rice and main dish... Japanese hamburger. Yes, this place is really famous for excessive size of dishes.
I began eating, wondering if I could really finish this all.
At the end, after twenty minutes or so, I gave this up. At least, finished the hamburger. NOT rice, though. Impossible for my capacity. At least I tried. Tried HARD.
It was 880 yen.
For rest of the day, I suffered from chest burn because of the lunch...
Lost my appetite completely. Maybe
this works great saving money for supper.
(BANG!)
Tomorrow, get back to work in normal pace. Will show in the office, folks. DId you miss me? (BANG!)

S9000 Easily Sold!
07/01/07 Sun
As mentioned before, My 1st serious camera, Fuji
FinePix S9000, was on the Internet auction. Today,
the bidding came to close. Yeah, more than 20 bidders
for my stuff, surprisingly. Yeah, really!
Here is the fact:
Starting Price: 9,999 yen
# of bidders: 24
Closed Price: 39,500 yen (up 295%)
My initial hope was that I would be extremely happy if I could sell this at 25,000 yen. WOW, even better than that.
RIGHT!!! Really.
Maybe because I maintain it well and even after one year use... no big deal for people to take it over from me. Yeah. Must be good stuff.
Anyway, I should be glad in another aspect. This is the fact that I come to find someone would like to use this here on... after me who now moved on to different camera to use. You know, after Thunderbird, I used this camera only for one occasion. Yeah, one occasion only. It was April-end wedding ceremony. For all others, I used Canon camera.
Now, one Sigma lens and S9000 camera are sold! Collected more than 70,000 yen. Not enough to buy a big lens for Canon... though, this is certainly great help for that "possible" purchase. Yey!
