Tak's Milestone: June, 2001

June 30, 2001 =June Ends

Saturday - woke up quite early since this trip was for the pre-meeting check out. Started having meeting with hotel personnel for our event and it took about several hours to check the equipment out, etc. Hard work.

Still went to take a hot bath - hot spring; was 2nd time to get in while this trip. Of course, it was relaxing and I felt so good... Also went in sauna for 10 minutes or so. I wish I could be there for a bit longer time then.

Went to bed around 2am last night... no wonder I am so sleepy. No concentration!

Yesterday... everything seemed so problem... and today we happily encountered lots of good things to solve almost all. That wasn't that bad surprise, right? Yeah, it wasn't that bad.

I guess, the trip was turning out pretty good!

Iimura - at the breakfast

So finally, left the hotel around 11am... and hitting back to Tokyo. Finally came back to home in Urayasu around 3pm. Oooooooooh, tired!

Lack of sleep - that's the problem.

Hotel Mikazuki

Hey, I am going to sleep, better say, NAP - for a while. And I probably won't be back to Internet for the rest of day. I will see you tomorrow, then. Take care! Keep having fun!

16:08

June 29, 2001 =Pre-Trip to Katsuura

Weekend mode, already... actually started around 5pm - right before the time I was supposed to be out of office. In fact, I came on trip to Katsuura for pre-Kick-Off Meeting in order to make sure that place is appropriate for the matter we wanted for it.

For job - all day long... nothing really particular needed to be mentioned. Haha!

And now I am in the Hotel Mikazuki in Katsuura - and wearing Yukata, sort of Kimono. Here it is:

Don't you think Tak is a little CUTE?

If you agree and you think you are cute, too, and NO boyfriends around... please email me! Always reply - 100%!

The trip from the office up to here wasn't that bad... took about a few hours by car. Did I drive? Nope, I just got a ride.

Another Yamada and Iimura are with me and we checked this place out. Everything is all right? No so fast... Food was great and place seemed beautiful... except the place where we were supposed to hold the meeting (at). That place - called Convention Hall - wasn't that great like along with what we previously required. Too bad.

Do we still go on this plan with this place? No so sure. Will continue to see more tomorrow, before hitting home, and will decide whether we stay or go on.

Iimura is just with me, waiting in bed? Not that really. And, you know, he is guy - not that quite GAY yet. That's what we sort believe? True is out there! Hahaha.

Will be back to town in tomorrow afternoon, folks. Don't you miss me too much.

Too late for now to write more... actually passed the midnight. Good night.

June 28, 2001 =Nude?

This morning started off as I almost dropped my EYEBALLS off the face! It was because of an email from friend in US --- My friend Kack sent me something very INTERESTING... like:

Like this! WOOOOOOW!

Hey, "Website Ogaki-jin" is NOT relating to "R" rated site like you don't want your kids to see. In fact, Kack sent me more than several pictures of different beautiful ladies.

The email subject was as "Miss Bangkok."

So I truly believed that right away and "Oh my... girls in Thailand are so great!!!" then, I almost started thinking about going to Bangkok for visit or even to live! No so fast ---

The bottom line of the email said... all those I saw in pictures were actually MEN!

Sucks!

So my excitement lasted for 15 seconds with this!

Kack, you got me!

And... I am using this as resource for "Beauty of the Day!"

For lunch... I got to eat steak! Sort of biz meeting. I usually don't eat beef, intentionally since beef is the one giving me weight. Though, it was pretty good! It was in Shinjuku.

Today's meal

Like I said yesterday - this week... I kept drinking (except today) and I finally found myself gaining some weight a little bit. Hmmmmm... that's pretty bad. Really.

Oh good news... I encountered someone new via email. That person now lives in Ogaki and used to live in Atlanta... sort carrying same kind of background like myself! Lots in common... it was lady named Kim. Well, nice to meet you (online)!

Hope she enjoys living in Ogaki - my sweet hometown.

Tomorrow after work, let's say about 5pm, I will join the force to go on trip to Katsuura where the Kick-Off Meeting is to come to hold in August. Two others and I myself check the place out tomorrow evening and return to Tokyo in Saturday morning.

Do I have an off tomorrow for this update? Planning NOT to. See you tomorrow!

22:50

June 27, 2001 =Another Drink?

For this week...

Monday - wine

Tuesday - beer and wine

Wednesday (today) - beer

Consuming lots and lots of alcohol... thanks to friends and coworkers! Am I bad boy? (Oh don't tell me so!)

No wonder that I don't do a good job at work, don't you think? Hahaha.

All right... now about the new series... Ogaki-jin's "Beauty of the Day!"

It is Iwakura - from Tokyo Office.

Yeah, I did have to buy her lunch today and I spent more than $20 for two!!! I know, my everyday budge is about $20 per day... of course, it went over budget!

It was Sushi lunch. Pretty damn good! (with good price, too)

Poor me...

Wait, wait, wait... how much longer can I manage continuing this on the web? I don't think that this will even last 'til tomorrow!

All day long, no appointment. Hey, doesn't mean that I have been lazy... in fact, NOT AT ALL! Tomorrow morning, Fukui has to give a big presentation to my kind client... and since I previously had given one (remember?) - spent most of my time helping him to organize the presentation. Hope that will goes well. Wish us luck, folks!

For dinner... Fukui's boss - Abe bought me food with some drinks! Yes! See, don't you think that I am hard working?

0:42+1

June 26, 2001 =Beauty Series?

There were more than 100 accesses for today and yesterday. You know, there are bunch of guy readers to come here to take a look at picture of good looking friend of mine! Hahaha.

I know why - People are hungry to see something new, especially someone else's privacy like this place... right?

ALL RIGHT... that's what you want, I presume... then here it is!

Today's beauty --- Yonekura.

She came to Tokyo Office in this afternoon for a meeting from Narita (Airport) Office. After the meeting, she came by our department and Boss Takashima (in background with HUGE smile toward her) took her out and Fukami, Arahata, and I myself followed them.

Free dinner (Italian) and free drink! Good for me!

More more news to go for today. New (replacing) Eyemodule came to me via FedEx today! FINALLY!

Humid weather has made me very tired. Let me rest...

23:29

June 25, 2001 =Dinner with Old Friend Eimi

Man! It was hot and humid. Worst day of being sales person for living! Don't you think? Had to wear formal suits and needed to go anywhere for appointment. What a job...

You know, working in Tokyo means of using public transportation and going on foot!

Fun for the day was the dinner with old friend Eimi... whom I hadn't seen for a long time like more than 4 years! Remember the story about my name was called by stranger in the lobby of some company where I was visiting for appointment on job? Yeah, that was about this lady friend Eimi.

Went up to Ocha No Mizu to meet her for dinner after work, around 7pm.

It was Italian food - and nice chat with her. Oh well, I recalled that she knew me so well about ex-girlfriend issues and others. Lots of suggestions she made for me and I mostly listened! You know, man needs to hold patience toward any lady. That was what I was taught while in US! Hehehe. No - nothing wrong about her things telling me, though.

Also she was Ogaki-jin reader in the past. Now she resumes being so once again.

Wanna know? Yup, she has a boyfriend... they are dating over decades... just kidding. I believe almost 6 or 7 years... planning to get married sometime in the future, according to her. Oh no... she's not that brave like asking me to go out. You know me... and I told you that she knew me well. She doesn't take any risk like that!

It was so fun talking about friends in common and the time we spent time together for summer job, etc. Seems that there are more friends from that past time in Tokyo for now and we talked into getting all together on some occasion in near future.

That means... PARTY!

Oh... saw the FedEx delivery slip at the door of apartment. It said International Courier... must be my replacing Eyemodule! I think so. Too bad that I wasn't here at 11:50 when delivery man came and knocked my door. Of course, I couldn't be here... was in the office, being so busy making pennies to live!

Will call FedEx tomorrow to see when I can get that package.

See you tomorrow.

23:33

June 24, 2001 =SFLSMUG!

Gathering for Mac users from the office... 1st time to get together to talk about Macintosh. It was more significant for Arahata to come to join us.

He never tuned his new iBook on before-

Seriously! He didn't turn it on since the date of purchase. He just opened the box and looked into it. Never turned it on before EVER! And today, he brought that in before us and demonstrated everything from the beginning. Really!

It is first PC he ever purchased in his life!!!

Everyone in that meeting was interested in his new computer - about looks and how fast it works, etc. I also inserted my DVD to run on it. Somewhat... my "Cat's Eye" DVD runs well... not on mine! Shooot!

Anyway, here's the picture of all got together today:

L to R > (top) Kawano, Matsuoka, Fukui, Arahata, Torii, and Uchida

(bottom) Inoue, and Tak

Kawano - as requested... I had to close her face off from the picture like that. Sorry, I cannot upset her. Hehehe.

"SFLSMUG" = SFLS Macintosh User Group.

2 users with G4 Cube, iMac - 2 persons, new iBook for Arahata, 1 user comes to a Blue G3 and 68k user! and Myself with PowerBook G3.

Arahata really enjoyed surfing the Net via ADSL access today. He then has to survive with narrow band access with 56k model from his home hereafter. Hehehe.

It was such fun today with friends in common interest. I should plan and organize this kind of stuff more and more! Didn't expect to have fun this much, really.

22:04

June 23, 2001 =Dad's Birthday

Happy Birthday, my father! He turns 60 today. I know, this birthday isn't as happy as before in his life due to severe problem he has... shouldn't go any deeper than this, I guess.

Anyway, happy birthday! Hope reality comes around...

Besides this, there is another news... Ogaki's representative to Industrial Baseball Club Team Tournament - Seino secured the last ticket from the region to Tokyo Dome where the Tournament will be held.

Seino Won! At last!

Am I going to cheep the team up when coming up to Tokyo? Maybe-

Oh my shopping... "Cat's Eye" DVD. One of my favorite animation. Don't think that ever broadcasted in US or other countries, besides Japan. It was old one and not recent series. It was about 3 beautiful sisters who are thefts for their father's collection. Oh, my favorite!

Somewhat... that DVD doesn't run well on my PowerBook. It does properly fine on PlayStation 2, though. Hmmmmm.

21:45+1

June 21, 2001 =Good Friday?

Shooooot, dry cleaning is now closed! I was trying to make it. Had more than several pais of suits to take... though, missed it. Man, they all are stink! Mmmmm.

Maybe tomorrow or day after.

Yesteday, I felt really bad and slept quite long. Did I make recovery?! Not really yet. In fact, I left work on time (almost, actually)

Sales guy came over my over now. He was for Yomiuri Newspaper --- asked me for monthly subscription. He asked... "Did you move over here recently?!" He continued like previous guy here was having this newspaper up to January... Oh come on! I was already the resident of this particular apartment room since last September.

His sales talk wasn't lead toward success AT ALL.

Hey, I am SALES too. I know what seems lie or not! Hahaha. Just kidding.

To be honest, Yomiuri - #1 newspaper in the world in terms of numbers of copies per day - STILL NOT my favorite one. Asahi and Mainichi are still better for me.

Still feel tired. Should rest more? I guess.

No plan on Saturday, though... Sunday I have some gathering for Macintosh users. There should be around 7 or 8 people, from work, to get together. Did I plan and set up everything?! Do you really think that I am that good at organizing something like that? Not really-

Anyway, Inoue offered his place to use for this occassion and will be there Sunday afternoon. Looking forward to it.

Otherwise for this weekend, I should really clean my place. That's it.

Folks, you have wonderful weekend out there! Hope weather will be helpful.

20:04

June 21, 2001 =No Update

I don't really feel well. Sorry, no update.

0:00+1

June 20, 2001 =Yahoo Japan

Hi, folks. How's it going? Am sure that your life is MUCH better than mine... hahaha.

Hot and humid... or whatever... I am SICK and TIRED of this freaking weather!

Appointment in the morning was canceled at the last moment and another one in the afternoon... that's only what I did for today (of course, except minor desk work).

There was a big exciting news for all Internet users in Japan yesterday... it was made by Yahoo Japan and another Internet giant Softbank Corp. They are tied up together to provide new ADSL service for only a bit less than $30 a month. ADSL - full-time access Internet connection.

Average ADSL service price in Japan currently - about mid-$50 per month!

You can see how attractive Yahoo-J's deal is. You know, Yahoo in US is still surviving from its loss from previous fiscal year... To the contrary to what happens in Yahoo's origin country, Yahoo Japan really enjoys its high percentage of share in the market with certain profit.

I talked this news with more than several colleagues... everyone was indeed interested.

Ooops, this Sunday's gathering for all Mac users in the office... that may be postponed since the place for gathering may not be reserved. Oh well.

Last Friday's party... 2nd part - Karaoke, I owed $40... somewhat I was given a discount of $5... since all other male were paying $45. Oh well, since I am youngest, that wouldn't that bad for me!

Two more days to go toward weekend! Keep it up!

23:44

June 19, 2001 =Sudden Call --- After Midnight

Sleepless in Tokyo? My cellular phone kept ringing in the middle of the night last night. What happened? Someone died? Not really-

It was Kirk from Atlanta and he sounded like, "Hey, Tak! What's up?!" Sounded like a normal call to friend... like that. It was way passed the midnight, though. Imagine, folks! It was about 3am. I was really half awake and half... you know.

Anyway, only sure thing was that it was always great to hear from friend who wants to keep in touch with me! Really sure. I was so glad that he was doing great!

So while daytime for today... I was DEFINITELY sleepy. And I came to receive another call to my cellular phone around 4pm... and that was in fact international one. It was about business... though, didn't expect that late in the afternoon... someone could have called me from US.

I guess that regard was very serious and critical. Hope I get more biz from that!

The break from the rainy season is coming to an end tonight... now rains. Rains hard.

One more thing to tell ya for today. The story begins from yesterday. It was about coworker Funabashi - Tak's killer.

There is an opening position to help the Kick Off Project for new fiscal year 2001-2002 that I am participating as one of leaders. And each department has to nominate at least one person as HELPER.

At the time of yesterday evening, there was no one from my department in Tokyo to apply that position. I asked Funabashi to help us... She said NO - clearly. Mori and others tried to convince her to be so; otherwise, she had to be clown in one of entertainment in Kick Off Meeting. That - she didn't want to be. Anyway, she kept refusing and refusing... for us, there was no such chance to make her to be so...

And today - Boss Takashima came to me in the morning and asked who had applied. The answer was NONE. And then, Funabashi showed up at work.

"Funabashi, you should help the Project that Tak is working on" - said Takashima.

Funabashi replied "Okay, I will do so."

What in the hell just happened there?! Funabashi changed her mind like that?! Is that because of Takashima asking?! Oh man... tough to deal with her. Mori and I had to keep laughing about that... how difficult for us and how easy for a BOSS!

Hmmmm, I should be boss... I need to be. Hahaha.

23:33

June 18, 2001 =Review toward Summer Bonus

Boss Ito gave me a review on my last half year performance. What shall I say? I don't work much like you already knew... Apparently, I get disqualified to get a big bonus... right? You're so right.

So review is done... oops, sorry - I cannot give up all in detail for that review! Anyway, do I get a summer bonus? Sure, I hope so!

Hot and humid. You wouldn't be able to stand, I am sure! Tomorrow, I heard that it would be hotter than today.

Got an email from Latin person from Aichi, Japan... how in the world can people gets my email address like that, huh? And you know what? He was looking for a job --- what should I do? I am not familiar with his specialty, MIDI (Desktop Music) stuff.

Friend Keytan got new job starting today. Good for him! What kind of job is that? He should email me to let me know.

Nissan introduces a brand new - full model changed - "Skyline" --- that is 11th generation of the model in particular. This time, new Skyline is more like luxury sporty sedan compared to older ones like very sport car. Don't think that will be available for US market yet. Do I want one? SURE! Why not... I still don't have any plan buying a car here, though.

Since public transportation is my sort of foot to anywhere... Don't really feel it's necessary at this moment.

Well, at least Nissan is doing better and better after being acquired by Renault from France.

Kack, I finally replied your email! Sorry, it took me that long to respond. I know, I know, I know, it takes much longer time now for me to write single email back to someone else previously wrote to me. I know. Hey, sometimes - I tend to be lazy... You know what it is... being lazy about doing something easy to do. Sometimes, easy thing ain't that easy! Hahaha.

All right... tired! Let me finish my laundry and get to bed. Thanks.

23:40

June 17, 2001 ="The Mummy Returns"

Lack of sleep... still for this weekend. Not healthy about spending such long hours away like the party on Friday. Definitely that affects toward this week... to myself.

Nothing really happened for today... except going to a movie to relax myself... and the movie that I watched today was one of a few movies currently in theater that I wanted to check out.

You know which one... "The Mummy Returns"

Have you seen this movie? Did you like it? I tell you what. I like it... it was pretty well done and it was as well as the first movie of series. Though, I have to claim one scene. That was where the bus was on the bridge in London. The time setting was around 1930's... and there was a such vivid light up on the bridge... I am so certain that there was no such thing then.

Of course, it was minor problem.

Yet, I can give a B- for this movie. Recommended to all youngsters like yourself. Kids are okay, too.

Oh, my broken Eyemodule for Visor... is now on the way to its manufacturer in Utah. Should take about a week to get there via regular airmail. And don't know how long it takes to send out a new stuff to me from there... I now presume that I should get a replacement by mid-July.

Besides the movie... don't have much things to tell ya... sorry, folks. It was such calm day.

That's right... Kiguchi won't be sitting next to me from tomorrow morning... new change, huh.

Nomo couldn't edged the Braves... in fact, he's got knocked out... with giving up 6 runs... oops. I know, Braves weren't that great like previous season or so... though, Nomo should have been in better shape to kick them out of the game for today.

2 music CD's (by "Yosui Inoue" & "the Gospellers") recently bought... I finally transferred all songs into MP3 format. Now I can listen and practice as new Karaoke songs? Hahaha.

Now my team Dragons (in Japanese Pro-baseball) goes under 500 winning percentage because of today's loss against Giants?! Shit, makes me feel bad about it.

Tiger Woods won't be that perfect... hey! He's human too like yourself! Don't expect everything such great deal out of him in his play. Give him a break!

Father's Day?! Who told me that? I didn't know. What should I have done for the day?! Hmmmmm, too late, don't you think? It is.

23:41

June 16, 2001 =Easy Saturday!

Came home from last night's party LATE! Really late.

It was about 4:30 or a bit later than that... came home by a taxi, share ride with Mochizuki, Kiguchi, and Kuboki.

Zzzzzzzzzzz after 8 hours of party... plus regular work load... I went to sleep, soundly.

Went out to shop a little. Target for the day? Suits - a pair of suits for work. Don't I have enough? Yes. But almost all of them are for 3 seasons purpose... not for summer. So I needed some clothes for work while summer. Especially, Japan's crazy weather about high humidity, etc.

How much did I spent for a pair of suits?! It was a bit more than $200. It was still 30% off sale and good buy for me... I know, I wish I could have spent a little bit smaller amount of money due to such severely tight budget of mine. Hmmmmm.

Otherwise for today, not much.

Oh - better mention: Japanese site of this Ogaki-jin... total visitors are now exceeding 33,333! So far no one has claimed for a prize on 33,333rd hit yet. I previously made an announcement on possible (cheap) prize.

Okay, I will see you tomorrow. No plan for tomorrow, either.

21:13+1

June 15, 2001 =Farewell --- Kiguchi

This Friday - last day for Kiguchi to work next to me... in Tokyo Office. Due to the company's ORDER (very traditional way to do in Japan's business culture) and decision, he is going to be relocated to Nagoya Office from next week.

So it was his farewell. And there are some new comers from other departments... not only one but also two personnel newly join us from next week... they are Yui Yamada - she is NOT my relative even though she hold same last name! and Mori, he will be sub to Kiguchi's sales position.

Here's a question. In usual way from your experience reading this website in particular... what would you guess what we have done tonight?!?! Not that tough question... Yup, you're so right!!!

P A R T Y!!!

Yoshi, Fukami, and Hanaki

Ito, Ishii - the Daughter, and Sato

>>>>> Ishii - Daughter of Managing Director of our company and Sato... obviously, they don't give me a consent to put up their pictures here... unfortunately. Sorry, folks. Sometimes... like this.

Odabi, Nemoto, Mochizuki, Takashima

Kuboki, Yui (new), and Mori (new)

Arahata, Kiguchi, and Kono

Kiguchi gets present - was silver tie

Pumpkin Icecream... I didn't get to eat much. Damn, I missed it.

idn't take pictures of some others in the party... like Funabashi, Iwai came from Narita Office just for this party (took her about almost 2 hours to get that place!), and more.

Then, party continued in next place... it was for Karaoke. This party started from 8pm... and finished at 4am. No, I didn't write wrong thing... it was certainly 4am, I am not kidding!

Only a few people like Iwai and Funabashi escaped out from rest of us... otherwise, everyone really enjoyed and gave warmest good-bye to Kiguchi.

Good luck!

By the way, it is my brother's birthday. Happy Birthday!

June 14, 2001 =Sand's Diner

Hi, folks! More than several appointments within single day was tough to deal with! Plus, rained so hard outside... so badly.

Of course, I got soaked bad.

I also went to Baraki Office for a meeting. Carrying my laptop around also... you know how bad I looked.

Baraki - a friend transferred to that office from Tokyo, Eto, was there and I ended up having drinks? Yeah, you can guess so.

L to R >>> Eto, Fukui, His Wife, and Chie Kawai

Who in the hell is Chie?! Oh, she was Store Manager of the restaurant called "Sand's Diner." It was TEX-MEX dinning. I know, my kind of taste! Hehehe.

She just showed up right behind me when I was almost taking shoots of them. She came around and asked me, "Would you like me to take that picture?!"

I said, "NO - I want to take one on my own!!!" Sounded like a big baby! Yeah, I was. I just wanted to take picture of friends and no necessary to include myself.

Instead, she was in the picture, ha!

Now she might be reading this... Hmmmmm.

www.sands-diner.com/ (Japanese ONLY!)

That was pretty cool (place). Oh, that lady, Chie, gave me her biz card... funny thing was that back side was 500 yen off coupon! ($5.00)

Maybe I should do the same on my cards to sell some more biz! Don't you think?

23:54

June 13, 2001 =Tak's Figures?

For January - 4,504 yen ($37.54)

For February - 4,861 yen ($40.51)

For March - 7,035 yen ($58.63)

For April - 5,297 yen ($44.15)

Do you have any idea what that money spent for? Those were the monthly charge for my cellular phone usage! Is that you think too much for it?

I should ask that question to other ordinary cellular phone users around... I bet more than those. I will see... that must be interesting.

Today wasn't that wonderful day for me. My day started with some argument with a coworker (actually Funabashi) and then finished my day with upseting myself because of someone else. SHOOOT, I hate it.

22:58

June 12, 2001 =One More Time?

One More Time? Oh, that's not about the song by Britney Spears!

I mean... that I have to re-do the SAME (freaking) presentation one more time.

This time, NOT for the customer... but for Marketing people... letting them to see how a salesperson gives a presentation to the customers. The material is mostly prepared by Marketing, that's why.

Question is HOW COME IT IS ME! I guess someone out there was mean to me! I would cry... I need to. Hehehe.

Once schedule to do that tomorrow and postponed... 'til next Monday. Oh boy, I will have another stressful weekend because of that?!?! At least, I would get a FREE lunch. That's a plus, BIG PLUS. Don't you think that I would be cheap enough?! Buying out with a lunch box?! Hmmmmm.

Still part of job! That wouldn't be that bad... comparing to what I pretend working so hard everyday. That's tough to keep up with, folks!

Email from Briellen. Wow! I was surprised that I got email from competitor of the industry. No wonder it was from her. Of course, I did write back RIGHT AWAY.

Was working late tonight... and when finishing everything and ready to hit home... Boss Ito was screaming against his laptop. Begged me for a help and I took a look at it. Seems not booting up at all due to some system error. And I heard some weird sound coming from the hard drive. I told him that and maybe some kind of hardware problem.

You know what? He was such old-fanshioned in the way he intended to fix the problem.

What he did to his laptop... smashed it with his hands! BANG! Oh NO!!! That's not the way we usually do for such hardware! Was interesting to me, though.

System Support Sakai was coming down from upstairs and was working on the computer for Ito... while, I decided to come home since I would be no help for that. Unfortunately, it was passed 9pm and it was way later than usual in time I leave office.

If you have any problem on your computer that you used for now to read this, please be gentle! Being gentle or soft, or even reasonable is better than being tough or stubborn or ... whatever.

Timothy McVeigh - is now gone, huh. GREAT! He really deserved of his own dealth from the penalty. I remeber... that I went through Oklahoma City right after bombing since I was on the way to Las Vegas with friends while was in college.

23:01

June 11, 2001 =New Week, New Start

Humid... and I mostly spent a day outside... visiting more than several customers. It was crazy since my laptop was running out of power from its battery and the same for my cellular phone. Hmmmmm, am I working too hard or what?

Tonight, my laundry is now done and also I watched one of my favorite TV programs, Love Revolution. Definitely one of few moments for a week.

Though, I was disappointed with today's story... where in the hell that love will go and end up?!

Oh don't ask of my love situation. It ain't go anywhere from here... I know, I am stuck. Quite.

Oh my day, like I said that I was outside, was along with coworker and salesperson Fukui... he was carrying his laptop like myself... though, he had something else that I didn't have. He had a PC card for wireless connection to the network; while I had to connect my cellular phone to laptop with a specially designed cable. How come he was so special?

Am I not that lovable? (hehehe)

In taking advantage of that PC card, his access is about 5 times or even 6 times after than my access speed. NOT fair!

Japan's GDP ("Gross Domestic Product") over the first quarter was rather negative in figure... much lower than expected. Obviously, Japan's economy is really slowing down and seems there is no where to go to. What would come to happen after all? How can we turn this around, with what and when? Japan's prolonging recession is severely hurting everyone's life and more.

I am hungry... have nothing to eat around myself... should I go out to grab something to eat? Maybe NOT. It passed 10pm, the deadline that I can eat any food. I should hold this until next morning.

Will talk to you tomorrow... my room is too hot and I should turn AC on? I know, that will raise the charge on power bill. MMMmmmmmm.

23:35

June 10, 2001 =Edo Tokyo Museum

NO rain today, again! Nice breeze.

What did I do? Not really much. Only one thing done... I went to Edo Tokyo Museum... Edo - old name of Tokyo. Yup, it was about Tokyo's history. Was certainly interesting and one of the places I wanted to visit for a long time.

Official web site? here ---> www.edo-tokyo-museum.or.jp

Very interesting looking, huh?

Cool Geisha!

Went in around 1:30pm and came out around 4pm... Spent that much of time in there? I guess, I did! If you come to Tokyo... this is a must-see in your sightseeing! I really liked it, especially about history description of AD1600's - interesting new time of Samurai Period. I should read and learn more of that history and visit again to understand things in there better.

Keytan hit 33,000th hit in Japanese page? Congrats! No present this time.

No movies this weekend again. Hmmmm, still missing "The Mummy Returns."

Hey, no laundry complete this weekend YET! What's wrong? Oh well... I had such bad luck this time... every time I checked at the laundry room... both machines were always busy working for someone else! What about me?!?!

I guess, I should come home early tomorrow to see.

My older-sister-figure, yk110, was in Japan for a while up to recent? And no contact to me?! I just read an email from her saying so... cannot believe it! I wanted to talk to her and see what's up with her life! Has she married yet? I know, not yet... I would be really mad if already!

NO DVD movies bought... though, music CD by "Gospellers."

Want "Cat's EYE" DVD (Japanese animation)!!!

Ok, this weekend is over... what has ended is what has ended... need to move forward... too bad that this weekend, once again, wasn't long enough for me (and you).

June 9, 2001 =Sunny Saturday While Rainy Season

Saturday - slept in. Healthy morning. As told you, no plan for this particular weekend and I was listening to the radio while I was still in bed. I know, I was sloppy. I really was.

Man, nice weather for Saturday. I was really thinking that it would be bad one since rainy season! I was wrong. Really wrong. Gee. I should have planned something.

Cool, there was another email from Eyemodule Tech Support as:

Dear Customer :

Thank you for contacting eyemodule Customer Support. The next step would be to replace the Eyemodule. In order to replace it, please give us a call. We will then issue with an RMA number. We hope this information has been helpful. If you have any further questions, please contact us at support@eyemodule.com or call us toll free at 1-888-615-9620.

Did it look a great news?! Eyemodule.com is willing to replace my broken one with brand new! At least, I understood that way from above. Don't you?

Do you think they will accept a collect call? Will see.

There was a such horrible crime committed. A crazy (really mentally so-) guy ran into a school in Osaka with a big kitchen knife and killed 8, 7 kids (1st and 2nd graders!) and 1 teacher, with more people injured.

Must be one of the worst crime committed in school! Gee, that was horrible!

Guy is arrested... he was 37-year-old jobless fellow. According to the media, no particular reason for him to do that... he just wanted to die somewhere and tried to commit suicide. Not possible for him to carry it out. So he decided to do something bad to be arrested and to be charged a death penalty. Can you imagine of his logic like that? Incredibly wrong way.

Well, take care!

June 8, 2001 =In Love?

Coworker Sato (female) made a comment from reading my page daily-basis... said that Tak had been seemed in love with someone; seemed so happy with someone or something, at least.

Is that true?

Truth wasn't that likely... I just keep watching love stories on TV and being envious of those propaganda for true love. Am I a little bit romantic? What's wrong with that!

My life is steady and simple... not much excitement like yours! I merely make my life a bit more funny or entertaining for you to read this everyday! Did you get that? Hahaha.

In the morning... had a meeting for a day trip for company in August for kick off toward new fiscal year --- I think I had told you that before. Meeting was with salesperson from JTB, the biggest travel agency in Japan.

I believe his name was Ogawa - seemed younger than me. Funny thing about him... he's like a military personnel in the way he talked to us for his idea and proposal. He has such a loud voice could be reaching the other side of floor! Seriously!

You know, I am salesperson too. Though, I don't even intend to do that way at all. Sort against it. I want to be more friendly-base salesperson with easy talk to prospective clients.

Oh I know, everyone has different way of doing anything. I just remain fun and easy person to talk to. That's it.

Yes, I didn't miss TV series "Ex-Boyfriend" coming on at 10pm; I was at work until a bit after 9pm and I was in rush to come home for that program. Glad to have made it.

"The Mummy Returns" will be in theaters from tomorrow. Am I going to see that right away? Maybe not. I need a good rest and no plan for this weekend. Let me sleep for now. Thank God... a week is now over...

June 7, 2001 =No In and No Return?

Very memorial... or very historic... today was the first time ever for me NOT to go in the office in the morning and NOT to return to the office after all. Straight to client's location and coming home thereafter. Did I go that far?

In the matter of fact, I did. Did go to Saitama Prefecture first in the morning. Meeting wasn't that pleasant to myself since my rates for service was MUCH higher than current rates by competitor.

Gee.

And I decided to go to the office... even though everything could be complete since I was carrying my laptop around. Very unusual. I know - I today used my old green bad... big and heavy one. So I was fully loaded for work in any place... though, still stopped by the office.

Was there for 30 or 40 minutes for inquiries over the phone and checking of fax messages, etc. Then I realized that I would come to be late to afternoon's appointment that was in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Jumped in to the train for the direction... made a call to Inoue, letting him know that I would be late to meet him for the appointment about 15 minutes. I truly was so.

2nd appointment was interesting and seemed well to me.

Only some trouble was the duration of that meeting... was over an hour and half or even a little bit longer! It was almost 6pm when coming out of the meeting. Then what? Raining outside. REALLY HARD. No one would like to go outside to get soaked like that. I wasn't certainly wanting to be so, either. So I was okayed to stay in at client's place. Spent almost an hour since the rain and thunderstorm...

Called in and check with office... no particular issues needing me right away... so I decided to come home straight... told them so and no objections. Heehaw! Came home, really.

Good day, huh?

June 6, 2001 =Oh Yeah Baby!

"Shag me, baby!" - Austin Powers

Definitely this is what I just needed. Relaxing and funny - and STILL kinky like myself. Great stuff for me to watch anytime when I feel down.

"Oh yeah, groovy, baby!"

I was quite busy with no going out for all day long. Today officially announced that Tokyo entered into the annual rainy season today! That means all Tokyo people will have to survive with rains for next 30-40 days. Then after this, serious summer will be called.

Had to come with some clue about making offers to two different customers with potential biz --- so I had to negotiate with bosses to get okay to go for it. It was seemed a little bit like persuasive talk by myself. Interesting.

It went successful, thank God, and now I am up to new biz! Good for me.

(Pro-baseball) Dragons (my favorite) edged Giants two games in a row... wonderful!

"Oh BEHAVE!" (sorry, if you haven't seen that movie at all!)

Gee, I don't think I can go to bed that easily... since I am now really up to this crazy stuff of Austin Powers... Definitely my kind of stuff.

No wonder that I've got tapes of both movies of the series, "International Man of Mystery" as well as "The Spy Who Shagged Me."

Tomorrow I will mostly spend my time outside the office. If you need me, call me to cellular phone. NOT to the office until later afternoon.

Today, I've got a call from Coral from Seattle and Tony from Taipei. How am I doing? "Popular." (by "The Thomas Crown Affair") Hahaha.

June 5, 2001 =Eyemodule ... not fixed

Hi, folks. Ogaki now enters the most irritating period of year... rainy season from today - announced so by officials.

Tokyo will be the same tomorrow... by forecast. Hmmmm. That means rainy tomorrow? Yup.

Tak's Eyemodule - toy module for the Visor handheld. Emailed from the reseller in Tokyo and I am now told that it wouldn't intend to fix mine since it's not covered by its warranty.

Yeah, I know - I didn't buy from that reseller since I bought in US. So I was told that I should contact to original manufacturer in US for possible repair.

I should email... to see. Hey, I don't break things around. It just happened to be not functioning somehow... Don't know what has caused this. Like I said yesterday - worst scenario is to buying brand new - with 100 bucks.

Tonight... I got a lecture from a friend... about how to manage life in better way than now. Financially as well as mentally... including career plan. It was interesting one and I really listened to him with such curiosity. I am now wiser. Hehehe.

According to his story, the best way to do a good job financially and mentally... I should get married soonest. Marriage will create the space to save some money, more than doing so by myself as single, as well as being with someone in most trust - will affect in any way for better. I agree.

So he kept asking... "Don't you like someone (to get married)?!" - Of course, I do. WOW!

Anyhow, I am moved and I will make an action soon. What to start with? Simple. READING. I know, I am NOT big fan of or good at reading... though, I found such needs to do so. Subject? History as well as financial management.

Oh you might want to remind me... since I DO NOT have girlfriend to spend time with... there are lots of time left, right? You must be really mean or nice friend of mine! Oh, I knew.

Will calculate to create some budget for buying books...

I don't feel well... STILL YET. I probably need more rest and sleep. Headache seems endless.

June 4, 2001 =Tak's Life Needs Something ---

Monday - beginning of a week with such fine weather... a little bit too hot, though.

Soccer, the Confederation Cup - Japan tied with King Brazil! This is well done!!! Now Japan is forwarding to the quarter final.

Did I watched the game entirely? Well, game started about 7:30pm... came home around 8pm... watched a little and then fell asleep in a while. So I didn't see the game much. Oh I know, baseball was still better for me!

Need to spice up my life with something... really need so.

Received a response about possible repair on my Eyemodule from reseller in Tokyo. It said that I had to have a warranty card... which I don't since I bought that in US.

Hence, it probably won't repair it at all?!?! So the worse scenario is to buy a brand new Eyemodule 2? That costs me more than $200! That won't be a great idea and I will never do that. Simply, I will give that up. Maybe I should ask them to see if how much extra needed to fix that without having warranty.

Mmmmm, brand new eyemodule in US now about $100. It might be cheaper for that, rather than asking to repair with extra charge?! Will see-

Without the Eyemodule, my Visor (Palm-compatible) is only half useful...

Be careful about my entertainment - since having financial problems? Yup - just got an email from one new reader of this page with such comment. I should take that seriously? Oh yes.

Tomorrow - 3 new appointments in the afternoon. Mmmm, I might be busier than usual. Ex-client and now friend - Motai has contacted me for the first time in a long long time.

Oh have some emails to write back... haven't done so at all this past weekend.

Though, am tired... no more words for today.

22:25

June 3, 2001 =No Movie This Weekend...

Since "Miss Congeniality (called in Japan as "Dangerous Beauty")" and "The Mummy Returns" are due next week, no movie for this weekend. Yesterday and today - I mostly walked and walked... looking things around.

Window shopping only.

Bag that I wanted? Well, didn't buy.

No shopping at all? Well yes... had to buy more than several things... mostly not for myself, though. Did buy 2nd cellular phone for special purpose. Music CD for relaxation... etc.

Oh, Eyemodule for Visor now complete broken... need to repair. Hope can do so. Sent an inquiry to the reseller to see if possible.

NO DVD movies to buy this weekend, either...

Shit, big tornado hit part of Columbia... is my darling sister Robyn okay? Hope so! According to the news, the incident occurred in somewhere else rather than where she should be living... (Medillin) - hope everything is okay with her!

"Meet me in front of Jennifer Lopez" --- that was the mission for me to meet a friend in a train station... In front of Jennifer... interesting, huh. That was just an ad by her for Subaru's Legacy (automobile).

Man, my fault that not buying new PC carry bag... what should I do with my work for this week? Oh maybe I shouldn't work at all for any... don't you think so?

This weekend - hot and humid... with a little bit of mild wind.

All right... let's admit that weekend is over... now new week and there are some biz to take care of. See ya!

June 1, 2001 =Almost Rainy Season, Meeting and Meeting...

New month, new business, new trouble stuff... and meeting and meeting... that was all about for today. No going out. No appointments. Was I bored? Not really.

Entertainment for today: 2 meetings about Kick Off Conference taking place in the last weekend of August, just before starting new fiscal year for the company.

That meeting... for all employees like 120 people and we get together somewhere like in the hotel for meeting and party. Since I was one of committee to set all up for it, had two meeting with two different travel agencies, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon.

Cannot tell you much here since lots of readers are coworkers of mine... though, funny thing was one of the choices... received a brochure and that was very nice and beautiful. Though, in the pictures of hot spring, "Onsen" - ladies are NAKED. I know, really were so. Well, pictures weren't that big and ladies were NOT focused. So you have to take a look into it VERY CAREFULLY - that's what I did. Interesting, huh! That hotel seemed very prestigious and old-fashioned... with liberal naked ladies as model? Very unique combination.

Did I pick that place in that meeting? NOT really (hey, I am serious guy!).

What is my plan for weekend? I really need to buy new back for work... since now I plan to carry my laptop around - I think I have talked about before.

This weekend's weather will be great. And according to forecast, this weekend will be last one with sunny before going into rainy season. Yup, Japan has rainy season in June, normally (except Hokkaido) - and within the season of 30 to 40 days - most days rains... I know, that's really hectic to do anything like biz or going out with cute girls! Hmmmmm.

Bamian - friend in Atlanta... did chat with him over Internet. I found that he was bad friend... just kidding. He kept asking of my GIRLFRIENDS issue... sorry buddy, no great news.... YET.

Anyway, let me go to bed... Zzzzzzzz.
