Tak's Milestone: July, 2002

July 31 2002 =End of the Month for July

Hot - hotter - hottest. Definitely hottest. Really. Above 90 degrees... actually 94 degrees. What shall I do? I should've stayed in the office - just keep myself comfortable. Well, not that easy.

Good recovery from yesterday? Not quite. I need some rest. Indeed. I was with client for dinner and I didn't come home early. Still am tired quite bit. I wish I could sleep as long as 8 hours or so. I am certain that I would do so for this weekend. No date plans?! Nope. What went wrong?! Hahaha. Anyway, I am free anytime.

Probably having girlfriend, maybe as superficial status, isn't directly regard to my better life... what would you think?

Work isn't that easy. Nowadays, I see more things to do from yesterday to today... perhaps more from today to tomorrow. Hmmmmm.

At least, I had a fantastic taste of Japanese foods. No doubt about the quality. It was on client's and no wonder that I'd really enjoyed myself with such wonderful dishes.

Coworker Funabashi is on her way to Hong Kong?! Man, good for her. She owes lots of homework to do while staying there. Good luck!

Seriously hope that I can come home to rest tomorrow... like coming back here around 7pm or earlier.

23:46

July 30 2002 =Seriously

No more... not really kidding now. I am quite tired and don't feel like I don't want to do anything. Even for this update, I don't have much energy left from work! Not my fault. Just the situation surroundling.

Some drinks taken for tonight with Boss Takashima and Supervisor Mori. Man, that wasn't really counted in to my agenda for today. Though, I probably needed.

Ultimately, I don't have any other thing to tell ya tonight. Otherwise, let me hit the sack!

Yeah, I promise that I will write more when being energetic and lots to tell. Promise!

23:38

July 29 2002 =Fatigue

Pain and headache... lots of it... for work! I didn't expect that bad to be. More than several clients were wanting me to deal with some urgency. I wish I had more than one body to work.

You know what?! There was a side effect from cutting OT short. I missed some new biz! Gee, part of it was my fault. NOT ALL OF IT. Though, I still do regret! I should've done much better than that. I told what happened to Kuboki (coworker) and he laughed it away! He said, "That happens!" I know, he's so right.

There was a big meeting with big client in the afternoon. I feel that a pain for that meeting was major thing for today. Though, turned out not bad. Still yet I felt so tired from that. You know what I mean.

Lunch at work and dinner was quite light.

Good thing... that I confirmed Tajima who broke my glasses would pay all for my glasses. Sure thing, huh!

No other stuff to tell you. Just tired and feel like don't want to do anything right now. Will go to bed early.

20:55

July 28 2002 =Easy Weekend

Man, hot weekend. Very typical summer day, then.

Big cleaning day. Yeah, my room now is as clean as when having guest like Israel from Mexico. I have to throw lots of stuff not necessary right away into the closet! Hahaha.

"Shag me, baby!" - Yeah, Austin Powers --- I was watching during the day time. This movie always make my day with lots of laughs.

Oops, I forgot to pick up dry cleaning stuff. For tomorrow, what should I wear?! - That is becoming a big question now.

No movies, no outing... I was just lazy man. Sandwiches for lunch and some pork dish for supper.

Well, tomorrow is to be a little hectic to see some difficult customer for some issue. Wish me luck will you!

23:53

July 27 2002 =Hot Saturday!

Unfortunately, it was not as you have expected. No date for today... since girlfriend left me behind and went on another thing. In fact, she went out with other bunch of friends (so I heard at least...) to the beach! How nice.

While someone was at fun site to maximize the joy to themselves, I was busy for nothing.

Renewed the lease contract to current company for accommodation. Yeah, I didn't choose any other location in sub-Tokyo area to live. The lease contract is for two years.

Fixed broken eyeglasses. Thank God.

That was basically it. Oh ate Ramen noodles... some fish dish for dinner.

Oops, I haven't paid any attention to any horse racing. Have I missed much money for prize then?! Don't think much.

July 26 2002 =Farewell, Emi!

Last day at work for Emi Takahashi - one of good colleagues of mine in the company. She's been good friend, too. Today, it was her last day and she has decided to move on. Since she was such great personality, more than 30 people showed up for her farewell party took place right after work. It was in Narita --- means two hours away from Tokyo Office.

Almost no one showed up to that party from Tokyo --- besides myself! I didn't make the first part... and joined the following occasion. About 20 people were there from the first one. Many familiar faces... with some others.

New face, first time to know him better - another Takahashi who has very low voice.

Nice young ladies from Narita Office. I should change my position to there...

Emi Takahashi - Guest of Honor is 2nd from right.

Suwa on left and Yonekura with beer bottle on right.

Some "buffoons" from the same office. Obara and Matsuoka.

And you know what?! Some other buffoon who had full of beer... came up to me. That resulted my glasses to be broken. Oh boy! I won't have to pay... that isn't my fault!

Anyway, good luck, Emi!

July 25 2002 =Pay Day and Date

Am beat! Leave me alone will ya! Hahaha. Just came back home from Ginza. I was with girlfriend for tonight and ate SUSHI. Yeah, it was pay day and I decided to spend all I could for pleasure!

Man, I must have been out of mind! Expensive Sushi, huh! She was sick or so day before yesterday... though, looked having made full recovery. So she was fine. We both enjoy RAW fish on rice (that's all about Sushi). Then of course, not missed the desserts with tea.

No photos of hers yet?! Slow down, folks! Did I tell of her name yet?! Oh I don't recall. It takes a while to remember it. Not that long one, though. Hahaha.

Work... no going out. Stayed in for minor work on desk... plus some sales strategy meeting. Little complicated.

One mistake. I really thought that "Austin Powers" movie 3 had been out already. In fact, not yet. Hmmmm. That should be out sometime next month! Who would like to go crazy like me in the theater? Would you like to go with me for a party?!

Tired and late... let me go off. Thanks for reading.

July 24 2002 =Good Work and Good Drink?

Just came home tired. Wow, passed midnight. Way passed my bed time! Where is my beauty sleep? Hahaha. Tonight, I was with friend ChanKen from Ogaki - yep, my hometown. He is in town on some biz trip. Actually attending to some seminar. Is he bored?! Seemed so! Killing time in surfing the Net - he said so.

Not first appearance here --- ChanKen!

Restaurant "Japon Tei" with Japanese cuisine and some Western drinks.

My girlfriend was supposed to come with me... did not. Had some other engagement with other (male) friends. Hmmmm, oh boy! She must be busy! Definitely more than Tak!

ChanKen and I talked lots and lots about our hometown... especially about some development from being mere countryside to be some good place in terms of having new technology, like Internet, to all people in town. Discussion was very interesting and I did enjoy myself with him. Very unique ideas there were!

ChanKen carried his usual laptop... by Gateway! Man, that's so rare! Why?! Well, Gateway have left Japan and there is no new machine available here in this country. He is one of some left-out users! Hahaha.

ChanKen... usually takes more than a hundred shots a day! Especially while he is on trip to somewhere. Man, he uses digital camera more often than me. He is really camera freak since he has good expertise about how to use camera and how to shoot.

With good camera - FinePix F601... gee, better model than mine! (FinePix 4700Z)

It was fun!

July 23 2002 =Busier and Busier?!

Hot summer day. Realize that am quite getting busier and busier... with lots of new stuff coming up... Man, why me?! Hahaha.

Historic plunge in stock market... especially in NYSE, huh. Are you investing?! According to some analysts, the NYSE index at 7800 level seemed still over valued. Hmmmm, that could mean that the current plunge isn't enough. What would you do?!

Thank God --- today's Nikkei didn't follow the trend from NYSE. Not much shock in there.

Many to-do's for Tak from the morning until last minute when to leave office for home. Gee... I wish I could have lots of GOOD news rather than just some problem-solving. Hmmmm.

Went out for an appointment in Asakusabashi and then showed up, without appointment to some other client near my office. How busy was I?! Well, I can tell that I had to skip lunch and kept working.

Tomorrow, friend ChanKen will be coming up to Tokyo from Ogaki. For what?! I guess, it is some kind of biz trip for him. I doubt how serious it can be. Maybe, it was just made up about coming to Tokyo? Hahaha. Anyway, I should see him tomorrow night for dinner.

Oh lost some weight. Good for me! Yeah, I really have to watch my weight. Getting fatter and fatter isn't my wish. No wonder that my supper was quite light too. Bad for health?! Shouldn't be. I eat somewhat. Oh did eat breakfast.

Two more days to survive! Looks like okay and I will be fine.

Wow, Boss Ito might want to buy a PowerBook?! I passed a catalogue to him - he wants something different from Window machine which reminds him of work! Hahaha, good idea.

20:30

July 22 2002 =Internet from Bathroom?

Some question was given to Tak. " Do you need Internet even from the bathroom?!" Since the test I had... about wireless network home... lots of people must be curious to know how crazy I am. Hahaha.

Man, WorldCom filed the Chapter 11 today and the biggest bankruptcy ever in American history, huh. That's seriously bad and darkened the future... what to see next?

Shigeki Maruyama made 5th place in the British Open (Golf)... wonderful! He can win one of major titles sooner or later!!!

Today's Tak wasn't' usual Monday thing. Showed in Ikebukuro to meet Boss Takashima around 8:30pm. Definitely earlier, huh. Then, took express train to countryside of Saitama. Man, long way it was. It wasn't quite client visit. It was rather visit to some warehouse for case study. It was interesting.

You know what?! Forgot to mention:

For Friday - happy birthday, Amy!!! Oh don't blame me being in Disneyland for a date. Hey, now you're married... should ask your husband to go to somewhere like that.

And I missed another one.

Happy birthday, Kirk! His was this past Sunday. Man, I should keep good notes. Probably I have to suck up the criticism that I was just up to having good time with girlfriend. Hey, for your information... I didn't see her yesterday!

Finally back in the office and it was already mid-afternoon. Thank God... bad news was waiting for me and it wasn't that good start of a week. Hmmmm. Anyway, left work for home around 7pm... not that late and OT deal is still under control.

See ya.

22:41

July 21 2002 =Hot Spot in Small Place

Finally, AirMac has arrived to my environment. Now, all Internet access is with Tak WIRELESSLY! Yeah, another gadget for me. I know - I do take all criticisms about my sickness wanting all new stuff. Hahaha. Here it is:

And of course, the PC card installation process took place instantly.

It wasn't that difficult.

Wow, it's so neat about not to see any extra cable (i.e. Ethernet cable) around. Since I have limited length of that cable, I have some freedom with PowerBook laptop in this apartment room.

In fact, I did try some experiment. From bathroom, from just outside of my room ... all conditions were okay and good Internet access. Maybe, people in next door don't have to pay for any Internet access.... and should take advantage of my environment. I am sure that it is possible.

Anyway, good stuff!

23:49

July 20 2002 =Disney On Ice Show

Yesterday, we were in Tokyo Disneyland. And today in the show "Disney on Ice."

"Jungle Adventures - Disney on Ice"

Girlfriend was late due to some assistance for her work and I lined up, by myself, for exchange to tickets from voucher. Full of young couples and families... and I was just by myself for Disney show?! At least looked so in the line. More than 1,000 people ahead of me!

You know what? I had to stay in that line for an hour! Man, I was very patient and very dedicating for that girl I am seeing. What would you think of me being in there being bored for that long time?! You can laugh at me HARD.

Unexpectedly, the musical took place on ice was quite impressive and I liked it myself. Lots of actions in there too. Music was definitely wonderful supporting. Like Phil Collins for Tarzan.

And girlfriend... who didn't have to wait for tickets under hot sunshine did come in right for the show and did enjoy herself most. Good for her with lots of efforts of myself. Hmmmm.

July 19 2002 =Tokyo Disney Land

Wow, 1st time visit to Tokyo Disneyland! Year after work, folks. Please note. I am not that irresponsible for work or any duties I might owe.

My girlfriend... probably the biggest Disney fan of all I know around, seemed happiest even spending very limited time. To be exact, we were in the Disneyland from 6:30 to 10 in the evening. Fan for Tak?! Yeah, it was first time for me to see the famous Electrical Parade with full of Disney characters. Here I can share with some photos from the scene of the Parade:

It was such a short time and we went up to 4 or 5 attractions and/or rides. "Winnie the Pooh" was interesting. I liked it. Girlfriend explained that it was the most popular of all in the Tokyo Disneyland.

July 18 2002 =Busy Day!

Hot summer-like day! More than 90 degrees! Man, I was melting.

3 sight visits to clients and I was quite busy! Good stuff? Well, some good thing there for me.

On the way home tonight, stopped over to Ramen noodles place... my "usual." Surprisingly, the place was full of customers! First time ever I did see such thing in there. Why?! I knew no changes in recipe. Anyway, I came to find that I happened to be coming in at busiest time of the day. Didn't know that the place was that popular.

Oh it was Chinese dish for lunch. Dinner, as mentioned, --- Ramen noodles.

Tomorrow, hope the weather will allow us to enjoy. Yeah, some plan has been made. Should be a great weekend!

Yoshio Iimura - how come you haven't responded my emails? Are you all right?

Tired. Let me hit the sack.

23:05

July 17 2002 =Work Harder and Harder

Wait! My over-time hours should have been under control. Seemed not... Remember that OT CAP 35 (max. 35 hours) project undergoes significant change in work environment. Seriously.

So far, my routine work is making that limit. Hope nothing really pushes me into tremendous amount of work for any urgency. Though, for these recent days or so I have to work for longer hours. I should be careful!

This Friday - Amy's birthday and Kirk's one on Sunday.

My girlfriend (!) now receives lots of attentions from those who are friends of mine. What kind of person, huh! Like yesterday I mentioned, this kind of trend will remain steady?!

Went out for some appointment in Ikebukuro. Didn't expect the rain... did rain hard and I just happened to lose myself somewhere on the way to the visit site. Gee, I didn't want to get wet; I did. Worst.

8 days to go for pay day! Cannot wait. Since having spent quite bit for dates and other stuff, the wallet doesn't carry much case... in fact, does carry lots of air in it. Hahaha.

Wow, there is delivery slip to the door here. Yeah, from computer company! This must be about Airport Base Station and PC Card! Cannot wait. I should receive the package tomorrow.

Good night.

22:17

July 16 2002 =So Shocking?

Okay, calm down, folks. I know, I did admit that I've got a girlfriend. First time in 3,000 years! I know, big change in my life like you wish for yours! Hahaha. There were lots of talks going on about this fact with such shocking.

Lots of questions given too. Like... "Why does she goes out with you?" (oh, I don't have answer for that!) "How do you ensure that it is true?! Any written contract?!" (wow, don't know about it. I just believe?!) "Has boss given an authorization for that?" (well, I've got the International Driver's License here). or whatsoever.

Friend Tetsuji Fukui told me that he was happy for me... with single comment. "Is she out of mind?!"

I am too funny or what?!

Friend Charlie is expected to back to Japan sometimes soon... though, no details here with me yet. Do you know when he is coming back!? Yeah, that really matters! He's my friend.

Lunch --- skipped.

Supper --- just snack.

Wow, with new girlfriend my life should be getting some kind of quality somewhat?! Well, I don't know about that. I keep on going as before and not quite necessary to spend more to get some more... I stay being myself and not much changes are expected.

Anyway, am STILL quite thankful about such feedback... since I know none of them was really disgusting... and even sounding negative, all are still welcoming the new situation. Yeah, I truly know that I am always easy target to pick on! Hahaha.

Finished working around 9pm. Man, late.

Let me take a shot of tequila. Oh boy, makes me feel good. Relaxed.

Stocking market is not stoppable.... anymore?! What really went wrong?!

23:13

July 15 2002 =Another Typhoon

Wow, now once more time! Japan is going to be under attack of another typhoon coming up. Man, already another one?! What happen to those who suffered with lots of damages due to previous one?! People in Ogaki?! Oh boy!

In Tokyo area, the influence will be maximized by the time when everyone has to rush for offices. That must be really awful and be a big mess!

Tak's day as beginning of new week - quite busy.

More than a few people sent me their observation about Saturday's date that I went out with a girl I liked. Positive?! Well, those messages or comments really remind me that ya'll are so damn nosy!!! Hahaha.

Now this girl (my date) pretends to be one of readers and check this place out quite often. Shouldn't I disclose much about my thoughts?! Maybe I should change the way I write in here?! What would you think? For sure thing, the response from herself isn't that bad, rather beyond expected.

Anyhow, the history without having girlfriend is now called.

Next question should be... Who would ever involve in things with crazy Tak?!

Received an email with tile as "Your Password!" --- Do not even think about opening it! Hectic computer virus. I promise that I would never ever even think about sending one. If received from myself, must be mistaken.

Man, Coworker Kono (female) emailed people in entire department and said that there were two tickets for tonight's ball game in Tokyo Dome... if interested, please respond by 5:45pm.

Gee, time limit was only in 5 minutes! How much was she in hurry?! Hmmmmm. I had to pass. I didn't want to. It was just too sudden. Wish I could have taken advantage of this for following date. I wished.

23:56

July 14 2002 =Nothing - for Sunday

Okay, I should start with rating yesterday movie. Star Wars - Episode II "Attack of Clones." Definitely thumbs-up! You shouldn't miss it out. Good stuff... and more exciting than first episode. Better made and story won't bore you at all! Like me, dummy for Star Wars can have much fun in that movie, folks!

http://www.starwars.com/episode-ii/

Tak's rate on SW Episode II: A+! Please watch that movie! Please note that Episode III won't be easily around or may not ever come up?! Hahaha.

Man, this really makes me run to store to buy a DVD "Episode I" now. Hmmmm.

Before doing any big shopping hereon... I really have to calculate the balance of my income and spending. Seemed being out of control for a while... since time when fixing my laptop and sudden spending of $500, etc.

Summer bonus?! Man, forget it all! It's all gone for some serious purpose. No more here with me.

And you know what?! I have spent notable amount of money for dates with a girl I liked. Yeah, that is indeed extra to my regular life cycle. You know what I mean. Though I am NOT or NEVER complaining here, I have to be careful what to spend my money coming along with some limitation.

22:33

July 13 2002 =Daiba Date

Good weather... the perfect day for a big date. Ha! Hahaha... it was a long fun day for Tak. The destination was Daiba - Tokyo's water front area where lots of shopping malls and movie theatres. Famous as a big date spot.

From 11:30am, yeah, long day began and done at 11pm.

One of big purpose was "Star Wars Episode II" and I will talk about it tomorrow with my own rating (as usual).

Date, other than that movie, was fine with full of talk between girl and me. Better understanding and solved lots of unclear points before. You want to see how she looks like? Hahaha... not so fast!

Anyway, it was lovely date and best of all!

One more thing - actually from Friday:

In the office, I found a ball player. Who in the hell is he?

11:10+1

July 12 2002 =Taling Tak?!

After the typhoon... always good weather is coming. Yesterday and today, things were like perfect. Cannot even think that we are still in the rainy season... which isn't over yet at all. Under such fine weather, it's extremely difficult to push myself to work... work hard or harder. Agree? Sure.

I have to tell you since lots of people have expressed their interest... yes, I will go out for another date (with same girl) tomorrow - Saturday. Moreover, some very limited friends asked me how they could possibly follow me so that they could see how the date would go.

Okay - here's detail! However, I won't give you whole details; just hints.

Time: Noon - 6pm, Area: Daiba, Tokyo, Keyword: "II" Mmmm, enough?! Hope so.

Work wasn't that easy today... but I decided to carry some over to Monday. So Monday won't be that easy, either. After work, there was a gathering that Amy would tell how the 1st week of marriage did go.

Happier?! Well, she was happiest. Good for her. I think everything was so great for her... whatever she and her husband do.

Oh boy, I need to get some rest for tomorrow! Hahaha.

8:40+1

July 11 2002 =Too Hot!

I would like to express deep sympathy with those who encountered the loss of property due to Typhoon #6 just passed by. In Ogaki, more than 200 houses were messed with dirty water came out of nearby river. Not only in Ogaki but also various cities and places all over Japan, there were too much damages around.

Still some people are missing. Hope rescue people come to find all of them.

What happened to Tak for today?! Well not much. You know what? I wanted to eat Ramen noodles for supper... but I didn't. I didn't want to spend extra energy to get to the noodle shop. Man, I was just lazy, huh. You know me well.

No appointments made for today. No customer visits at all. Why not? Just lazy?! Well, I wanted to deal with many things at desk. Lots of paperwork there. Good result?! Well, I will see how effective this would be.

Air Port Base Station and Air Port Card aren't not on the way to my place YET. Cannot wait. Funny thing that lots of people, since having read this page, asked me how come I needed such wireless advantage for my place which is such small space I have here. Yeah, you're right! Damn right! I DO NOT NEED such things yet. I just wanted to have some new and different gadgets like those. You know me, huh!

"All Star Shame" rather than "MLB All Start Game" --- the game of festivity was tied and a draw. Satisfaction? Lots of criticism and very few supporting opinion. Then, commissioner in MLB announced that it won't happen again from now on. I guess, MLB players won the game. Those who paid lots of money for tickets to the game lost badly. Interesting, huh.

There is always zero-sum. Somebody wins, then someone else loses. That is the game.

22:25

July 10 2002 =Ogaki under Water!!!

Folks, Japan is currently under attack by the Typhoon #6 - now close to Tokyo area. On the way to where it is for now, that typhoon left tons of rainfalls all over area and Ogaki wasn't exception. In fact, Ogaki is the place mostly and severely damaged.

There are about 60 houses or buildings now under water. Gee... are all of friends okay? I called up my mother around 4pm this afternoon to check and see if my parents were okay... and the area they live was fine.

Friend ChanKen okay?! Sure hope so.

National channel and other key stations broadcast live from Ogaki on report about damages. Some interviews with elders who were called upon evacuation! Really bad you see!

One of photos over Ogaki... see!

I thank you for everyone checked in with me... all said that saw TV or radio and saw or hear about Ogaki... everyone sent me messages with concerns and worries. Thank you for all, my friends!

Today's work? Forget about it all!!! I worry about my hometown.

23:05

July 9 2002 =Wireless Network to Come?

It was first day ever for Tak to be on flex time schedule. To the work in the morning... I leave an hour later than usual. Yeah, I just needed to be at work right before 10am. Rather than 9am.

Woke up a little later than regular day and took quite time to get dressed and ready for everything to leave for work. Man, I definitely enjoyed myself listening to the radio on regular (and favorite) program with extended hours! Great!

Though, there is a side effect... it's quite difficult to push myself to work hard! Late start on a day... doesn't get to jump start. You know what I mean. Well, I have to see how this will go for a while... there are only twice a week... Tuesday and Wednesdays. So... I have to take a time to see.

New word for Tak today... "Wireless" yeah, that means IEEE 802.11b protocol! Wow, that's too technical?! You shouldn't know much about that technicality... right?! Hahaha.

So let me summarize... Tak will come to have a wireless network environment. Why?! Because that is damn cool! So there is a purchase made today. Airport Base Station as well as Airport PC Card are on the way!

Why bought?! I knew that they had been on my shopping list for a long long time. Though, suddenly they came up to the top. To be honest with you, I just found a great way to discount thanks to some friend. I cannot give up much details here.. though the discount was up to 25% limited time only! 25% off means about 100 dollars less! Yeah, I shouldn't wait too long. Don't you agree?

Sometimes (always?) it's so-so difficult to refuse new technology coming in my hand. Hmmmm.

22:19

July 8 2002 =Easy Monday

Yeah, from tomorrow, my work hour goes into flex system. All Tuesday and Wednesday, I will be in the office around 10am to start working. Changed from 9am... usual time for everyone. Is that going to help me to reduce OT (over-time)? Well, I don't know. This is just one experiment. Will see what the outcome would be.

There was some misunderstanding between Lucky and myself?! Now getting all solved?! Hope so.

Tonight, friend / coworker / neighbor Eto and I went out for dinner together. He was on such intension to make me fatter?! That's why he bought me some desserts?! Hmmmm, he must be smarter than I thought.

Any other news to tell?! Hmmmm.

Oh there were paired tickets for free to us at work... three pairs of them to draw. I did apply... thought that would be good for dates. You know what?! Seven other parties intended, too. Gee, I missed it. Man, don't have a good luck. For what?! Tickets were for musical... yeah I like things like that.

22:56

July 7 2002 =Lazy Sunday

Hahaha, I was really lazy.... and nothing was done.

Besides... getting haircut, laundry, and... that's it. Hmmmm, was quite lazy.

It was wonderful day out there. Lots of sunshine and couldn't find any better reason not to stay in. Though, STILL didn't go out.

There was a notice... that I have to renew the lease contract of this apartment room. Hmmmm, there is an extra charge to do so... is that usual?! It's first time for me to renew apartment contract since coming back to Japan. Extra charge is equal to one month rent! Wait, I didn't expect anything like that. Hmmmm... bad news... bad bad news.

Too shocked to keep writing...

21:21

July 6 2002 =Amy Kamata to Amy Shibata

Dear Amy:

You have been so wonderful to me... with such great friendship and you should deserve as my best friend. Today, it was your day. The dream has come true as what your love was announced and made to the public as married. Congratulations! I was quite honored to witness your happiest time in your life and to cherish your new life just started today.

So now you're Amy Shibata from Amy Kamata.

Love is, in my belief, required to make your life. That matters. That matters only and that helps you both to go over any hardship may come up as your lives go on. As far as you both remind of ever-lasting love announced today between each other... all should be fine!

Congrats, Amy!

0:37+1

July 5 2002 =Summer Bonus and New Gadget

Finally, big bucks for Tak?! Well, it is STILL money (no matter how much I was paid today!). Anyway, somewhat we are all happy campers with some money as bonus!

Well, my 1st spending after this big time was about new CD-RW drive for Macintosh. Hahaha, this makes me happy?! Well, now I have better option for back up! Yeah, this is now serious issue since having lots of images by digital camera as well as large files for web pages.

Other plan to spend?! Not quite. I have to save at least some since some big bill is indeed expected! Hmmmm, that's not that good.

How about you?! Have you spent any big yet?! You should! Hahaha.

0:24+2

July 4 2002 =Time for Fireworks!

Happy the 4th of July! Yep, time for fireworks!

Man, everyone is on holiday and I should have easy day tomorrow since offices in US are all closed, huh!

Today, I have nothing much to tell. Why!? Well, slow day... yep, I made my day so. There is a very strict guideline announced about overtime. There is a overtime cap for every single employee. To be exact, it's 35 hours! A lot, you think? Hmmmm, not that quite.

My average is around mid-40's for this year. So 35 hours... means like one and a half hours everyday to be able to count toward OT... means, less hours to work for the same level of productivity. Hmmmm, that's hard goal to accomplish.

I have to thank all readers for their frequent visit to this web site. Japanese version's visitor counter now exceeding 70,000 hits in total. And English version is coming near 7,000 hits. These indications really push me to keep doing this and I cannot leave this behind as not updated. So you must want to know more about me everyday?! Hahaha.

Tomorrow 7/5... not just merely Friday facing a weekend. It's a big pay day! Just only twice a year. Tomorrow, we all get paid for summer bonus. How much!? All depend on person's performance. How about Tak?! Hmmmm, good question. Since I have been lazy at work... with full of chatting, the expectation isn't that favorable?!

Anyway, money is money and am happy to grab something extra to spend. Yeah, am master of spending! Hehehe.

Coworker Kuboki is now in hospital for some tests. Man, hope things are okay with him and get well soonest!

July 3 2002 =Eto in Tokyo Office?

Hot and humid tonight. Don't like this much.

Came home late... since having some drinks with Eto, Fukui, and Funabashi. Yeah, Eto was in Tokyo Office for some training... like what exactly?! Anyway, he wanted to have some reunion and so we did.

NOT free foods or drinks tonight. Unlike yesterday! OOPS!

It was fun... and full of complaints about work! All usual, huh! Yeah, definitely.

Tonight... or possibly early tomorrow morning... the visitor counter will be come to another milestone... @ 70,000th hit! Only one reader hitting that point with proof will leave with some prize from me. You want one? Stick with that page tonight!

Gee, sleepy. Still Thursday and Friday to go?! That's too bad.

Good night! Zzzzz.

July 2 2002 =Seeing Foyer

Nice to see Foyer... from Fayetteville, GA - America! He came back to Japan on business and I've got a final chance to see him today. After work.

Get together in Asakusa and went up to a restaurant of his pick. Good surprise... that I came to find one of best restaurants that could be discovered within Tokyo area...

Called "Yoshikami" (tel 03 3841-1802). Definitely, great choice to go to eat some regular dishes like curry over rice, some Japanese-style steak, and omelette rice.

Thank... it was his treat!

Then, moved on to a bar called "Barley Asakusa." Pretty cool with good alcohol. No wonder that nicely drunk for now! Hahaha.

And all cost for the other day's Beanie Babies for his friend was now paid back. Thank God that I now have some extra bucks!

Excellent dishes and nice drinks... what do I want more?!

I really appreciate all treats, Foyer. You must be a wonderful friend to me... since you paid all for me to have great tastes like this! Hahaha, just kidding. Anyway, thank you for your ever-lasting friendship!

July 1 2002 =Some Change Made

Good Monday?! Easy Monday?! Hectic Monday?! Which one would be most suitable for your situation?! Mine was definitely about having myself kept inside and I stayed with laptop... Yeah, not actual out going for any customer. Since a little humid today, it was quite good idea! Hahaha!

Some OFFICIAL announcement. Those who always want to contact nice guy like me even while working... my email address at work has been changed. Due to organization change with merger to UPS, there is new domain.

<Old> tak.yamada@fritz.com

<New> tak.yamada@ups-scs.com

Please note and update your record of my database. So you won't lose me much. Know of this web page and work address, then you won't go too far! In fact, you're with me 24-7! Hahaha. What is "UPS-SCS" standing for?! Check here. To me, that content is further complicated. Man, what am I going to do in that new organization?! Hmmmm.

Already missing World Cup which isn't around anymore?! Maybe somewhat.

My cellular phone is indeed broken! Gee, I now have to think which one to buy for next! Man, I didn't plan to spend extra money for something like this. Totally unexpected.

Friend Foyer is around in Tokyo?! Just called him up to his staying hotel. Man, he wasn't there. Maybe I should call him tomorrow to see when I can possibly see him while staying in Japan this time.

Okay anyway, Monday is done deal. Next?!
