Tak's Milestone: September, 2002
|
September 30, 2002 =End of September |
Already end of September?! Man, I have done nothing for the month. Really.
Who was eating such fancy dish in rich restaurant in ANA Hotel for lunch?! Man, no wonder that I came to the hell in the afternoon with lots of claims from a few clients at a time!
Yeah, really it was great dish. Indeed, it was worth it! Please note that it was definitely business. With serious talk with some people from vendor.
Now came home. It is a little after 11pm. Yeah, I was the last person leaving the office. Not funny... difficult issues and service failures... letters with apology, etc. Gee, I am full of it.
I will come to another worry tomorrow or so. What?! The number... magic number! I have to close out my monthly sales figure soon and it will be tough to dig out all numbers! Hope that will be sufficient to keep my job!
My schedule for this week is now pretty crowded. Good for me?! Maybe good start for new month?! Actually, 2nd month of the current fiscal year.
I don't count much on good stuff coming to happen tomorrow or so. Not that optimistic. Though, work is work and day still comes. I will survive.

September 29, 2002 =Seeing Charlie |
Hi, folks. How did your weekend go?! Hope you went out with your loved ones for some fun... dinner, movie, whatever good for both of you.
Tak - who stays out of love (things with Lucky have been expired) - stayed in quietly. Wait, not exactly. I went out in this evening for drinks! Last week, I was with Friend Kirk... who came back from Atlanta in past spring. Today another buddy of mine... Charlie. From New York. I am sure that you can recall when he came back from the States since I mentioned many times.
Taking about the discrepancies between what I said here and what really happened?! Man, he was quite doubting of what stated here. Hey, that's too much. Here--- all based upon truth. I don't make up things.
Though, please note that I sometimes avoid some topics that aren't favorable. That's all I do... I choose the topics whether I can talk about or not.
Anyway, it was so fun and great to reunite some friend like him! It's always most comfortable for me to be with whoever I really get used to share Anything. Don't you agree?! Kirk and Charlie... they are my friends for rest of my life... that I can tell.
Thanks, Charlie!

September 28, 2002 =Lazy Saturday |
Rainy... as expected. Smart to stay in! Did so... and it was because that I was just lazy?! That could be.
And... I have nothing to tell you today... besides I was home all day long watching TV.
Finally, friend Charlie gave me a call and will have dinner (and drinks) tomorrow night. He hasn't got any cellular phone yet... he did tell me that he wouldn't need one. Am sure that it will come to change his mind! Like Kirk - coming back to Japan and staying in this country really make anyone feel the needs having cellular phone.
It will be same for Charlie. I bet.
Today's music: Faith Hill - I want more CDs of her music! And still I want Dixie Chicks' also.
Breakfast: skipped
Lunch: just snacks
Supper: noodles
Hmmmmm, very bad eating habit. Need someone to take care of me?! Sure!

September 27, 2002 =Easy Friday?! |
Not quite easy day today. Kept working and still am?! Checking and responding emails for work at this late... like almost midnight! Man, I should deserve a raise! Hahaha.
Finally (already?) weekend is ahead and now almost here. Unfortunately, weather won't be that cooperative. Rain is expected for both Saturday and Sunday. What have I done wrong?!
In the morning, stuck with Client K... Lady A kept asking questions about some issue and took me quite while to filling all blanks for her. Has she been satisfied with my kind of service?! Must be!
On the way back to office from that client, grabbed a "Value Set" (i.e. Happy Meal) from McDonald's. Hamburger and fries with drink. Really oily meal for lunch. Good for me. I just needed greasy kind of foods! To keep American kind of health! For your information, my weight is, so far, under control!
Dinner... at new Ramen noodle shop near home! Man, it was very small place... just counter table and one man was working alone. Did I like it?! So-so. Wasn't that bad... soup was very clear and simple. A little over-priced, I thought.
Okay, through rainy weekend, what shall I do?! I've done most of shopping listed at the time of last week. A pair of shoes for each casual and work use, new "anteojos" (Spanish word for eyeglasses), and what else. Since was broke and went in deficit within last month budget, I have to be considerate how to save some money for this month to balance the budget. Yeah, just like Bush or other heads of countries!
Oh maybe, you too.

September 26, 2002 =How do you want me to define it? |
Now I have a good frequent visitor to this web page from Rosewell, GA... definitely NOT my ex-. Hahaha!
Busy day. Really darn busy! Don't bug me! Do you work! Reply my emails (those who receive emails from myself for some job-related issues) right away!
Man, my tension is quite high... don't you think?
I just came home and now passing midnight. Means I have to cut this out short for tonight. Tired and still some work to do on computer after this. Please pardon!
Like said yesterday... not expected to have a good day today. It wasn't that good... but not as bad as could be... I admit that it could've gone much worse than it was.
After work, saw Lucky for the first time in 2 weeks or so... Cannot define this... I should push myself to. Better say like more than friend and less than girlfriend. I will come to know.
Destination for dinner was at Coca Restaurant... Thai foods. My favorite. Pretty good! Yeah, I paid it all.
Good night. Will write more tomorrow on.

September 25, 2002 =Day before the End of World? |
Not expected having a good day tomorrow... due to bad issues with some client. Oh boy. Though, I just try not to think what to happen tomorrow then.
I know, that is not my (personal) fault... rather just service failures. See?
Friend Rumiko Chiba (female) got interview on new job... went well?! Good for her. Hope she gets thing to do as she wants to.
What to relieve the stress in myself?! What to do? Shopping... yep. Bought new pair of "anteojos." Yeah, finally! How much?! A little less than 400 bucks. Wow! Hey, good to find was that my eyes were checked out and no problem. Still maintain same level of vision in both eyes. Not worsened. Good.
Don't call me "crazy" - but just "smart" or "handsome." Got it?
Tropical storm... Isidore?! No more hurricane, huh. Better. Hope that won't bother you much!!!
My favorite group... Dixie Chicks - best album "HOME."
Hey, can you go out to buy one for me and UPS it out to me right away! (Please no FedEx.) For what?! Well, you enjoy reading this page... and don't you think that I deserve some reward from you?! Sure!!
Stocks... not happy.
Well, hope tomorrow will be shorter than usual day. Unlikely not.

September 24, 2002 =Back to Work |
After the extended weekend with National Holiday - work can be tough. Became true. Starting all up around 10 in the morning, the story didn't come that flat. Some new businesses and some problems with existing customers. Oh boy, no wonder that didn't have much time to send personal emails to friends.
Oops, I swear that I didn't do that!!!
Am thankful and grateful for those who are frequent readers of my website. Am really so. Why? Well, the visitor counter in Japanese version of Ogaki-jin now counts up more than 77,777! Yeah, all lucky sevens!
The winner at such memorial step in that counter was "Moon Flower." At least I don't recognize by that user name and cannot tell who it is. Sorry for those who tried and didn't get it! Too many people in the same competition... to see if they were lucky or not. Hahaha.
Compared to this page in English, it has been quite popular and I do have about 70 or more daily visitors to Japanese update. Don't you think that is great?! Notably, this is where my energy to keep up with all happened every day in my personal life!
Like New York Yankees... the most popular baseball team, here Yomiuri Giants won the pennant of Central League for this season. Not Tigers, Dragons, Swallows, Carp, or Bay Stars...
So Tuesday is over... tomorrow is pay day (finally!) --- three more working days to go!
23:09
|
September 23, 2002 =Broke (as usual) |
Wow... you and I have to wow... long weekend is now calling for an end! Gee, how fast! Time did fly and I don't know how to stop the time! No clue how to do it! You too?! Poor thing.
2 more days to survive to next pay day! Been too long!
Today's Tak... went to Seiyu Department Store. It was on sale... big one! Because of Seibu Lions won the pennant of Pacific League in baseball. Lions are owned by the group to which Seiyu belongs. This series of big bargain will last 5 days from yesterday... mostly 20% off and some 10% and more in others. Pretty good, huh!
So bought another shoes... for work this time. Wanted to buy something else... but you know, I am (have been) broke. Pay day is just around the corner and I should be patient. Not empowered by the plastic (i.e. credit cards). Sometimes, smart to hold shopping appetite. Like me!!!
No movies, either.
Bought a magazine to study some finance. The material said that it would be great saving if 20% of your monthly income to be put aside for future. 20% can be the key number, right?! I should try. Not only about saving account or Money Market, but also Mutual Fund or stocks... what do I prefer?! I would say that stocks would match to my kind of knowledge and interest. Though, I have nothing to invent for now?! True or false?! (Oh you don't know the answer?!)
Well, the weekend is over... what past is what has done and let's move on! Start rock and roll toward another consequence!
Now reality is kicking in.

September 22, 2002 =New Shoe |
2 more days to go. No particular plan... besides a shopping list to complete before next week. Hey, not only seeing the Austin Powers is the one thing to do!
Finally came out to Ueno area... big shopping street and was looking for a pair of shoes! This time, bought a pair for casual use. Still needs for work as well.
Last pair by Nike was finally (already?) worn out. How long did it last?! As far as I can count... it must be for 4 years in use. No doubt being worn out like that.
"New Balance" or "adidas" or some other names of brand... I looked up all around. Finally came down with "Nike" again. Didn't plan to... and Nike isn't my favorite brand. In fact, I don't have such thing in mind for shoes. 4,000 yen for the pair. Definitely good buy... compared to others... whose prices started from 8,000 yen or up. Many of them were around 12,000 yen or up. No kidding! You can see how expensive they are in this country.
Though, price would be rather higher if you went to other areas for same shopping purpose.
Like said, I bought them for 4,000 yen... while other (younger) people were buying for more... they must not make as much as I do... though, there was a huge difference in the definition of "luxury."
Gee, this country isn't in recession! Deflation?! What the heck!
That's all I could say for today. I still need to go shopping for shoes for work.

September 21, 2002 =Drunk? Or Just Drinking? |
Still Saturday?! Good for me! Enjoying my little vacation?! Quite bit!
Lazy day. Slept in. Quite bit. Then, I've got a call for drinks. Nothing really stopped me and I showed up in Itabashi and best friend Kirk and I got together. Man, we kept drinking.
With what talk!? Just between him and me... just between two men... who have been getting along with each other best in lives... no secrets and honest talk over and over!
Talking about girlfriends, jobs, other friends in common... started drinking from 6:30 in early evening and done by 10pm. Don't know how much we drank. Though, it was honestly good time with such friend. This was what I just needed for quote long time?! I admit it.
Thanks, Kirk.
Too bad that another best friend from time in Atlanta... Charlie (or referred as tkoich) could have joined us. He was happened to be out of town. Gee, could be almost perfect. Though, it was quite awesome!

September 20, 2002 =Finally... Baby! |
No matter what you thought.... whether it was stupid or not... it was MY moooooovie!
I really don't care if you have seen it or not... even if like your loved one insisted to see or not...
It is "Austin Powers" - my most favorite "stress-relieving" character in the all media!
If you don't understand the background as well as hints of this movie series... well, I have to say sorry! The clue of this movie is coming from various resources in the past... mostly historic. No memory of "Dr. No" in the 007 movie?! NO understanding of "groovy" generation in late 60's though early 70's in UK?
As you know, word groovy is not existed anymore. Better say, "cool" has replaced it.
Why movie on Friday?! As you know, it was my OFF! I ran into the movie theater in the middle of afternoon! The movie time was at 3:05 and I barely made it. Since working home... hectic.
You know what?! I was the OOOOOOOOOOONLY one in the theater for Austin Powers! First time EVER experienced like that. It was fancy theater with capacity of 250! It must be the movie for freak and mania... not that popular?! You know, I DO NOT CARE!
Definitely fun and made me laugh. Though, cannot give an A for the rating. I give a B+.

September 19, 2002 =Week is Over? |
Yeah, really. No doubt. My petition for a day off on Friday is granted! Yep, I will enjoy and relax myself for an extra day with long weekend attached to. Means what?! I have 4 days off STRAIGHT! Damn right!
I was smart. And, beyond question, quite LAZY.
In the morning train, I saw very weird scene. In crowd, there are more than a half dozen of kids... must be from elementary or so. Most of them were seated and occupied. Of course, NOISY in the hell! I was one of those who were annoyed not only from that crowd situation but also those screaming kind of voice in chat within themselves.
Anyway, I found a young lady pregnant... standing in the same car. No attention from kids. I was thinking to give up a seat if those kids get off... though, seemed their destination was same as mine. Damn it.
So that lady (with big tummy) kept standing. Felt quite sorry for her. And then, another lady came up around and started talking to kids. She looked insisting that kinds kindly offer a seat for that pregnant lady. I thought that she was their instructor or teacher from school. She told more than two kids so... and you know what?! They didn't care! I don't know if they understood of pregnancy or what?! Anyway, kids NEVER EVER give up seats for that lady. Poor thing.
New generation of Japanese... hopeless. Bad education and bad moral.
I was sort upset with that lady didn't succeeded to make kids understand. I truly believed that she was with them. At the Daimon Station - my destination as well as those kids'. They went off the train. So did I. I thought that this lady would do with them. Although, she did NOT.
Gee, I totally misunderstood of her. She was NOT with them Just merely kind and generous to tell kids to do right thing. You know what?! I was in the same position as she was. She tried. And I didn't.
Hmmmmm. I regret. I was bad too.

September 18, 2002 =Good Food? |
Man, I've got a call with claim from new customer... tough beginning of new biz with it. Oh boy... I hope that I will come to a solution in order to keep the biz and customer happy.
Lunch was great.
Between appointments, saw friend Lindo in Akasaka. Restaurant "Neboke" (tel 03 3585-9640) and very authentic Japanese dish. And it was her treat. That matters, huh? Well, fish was so great and I want to go back... without thinking how much it would cost.
I definitely give an A+ for the dish. No photos though.
My request for a day off on Friday is to be approved. At least by Boss Ito so far. What shall I do?! So far, don't think much. I should call up some friends to see?! Hmmm, everyone else is working then! What was I thinking?!
Friend Israel is touring in Europe?! How come I don't go out of country at all? Wish could go like that.
Tokyo Giant Kuwata (RH) completed the game today. Wow, he is becoming a legend... and Wakanohaha in Sumo beat another wrestler leading the championship until yesterday. Both aren't young... and indeed passed the peak. Still their aggressiveness and hard work are really good model to those who think that they are not that valuable to where they belong like work place.
Ex-CEO of General Electric - and people's CEO in general... Jack Welch was severely criticized about reserving lots of "executive" rights and privileges like free housing in large apartment, car, jet plane, food supply, season seats in pro-sports, etc.
Must be excellent reward from good work with exceptional outstanding performance.
Though, he's not completely content... filling a divorce in progress. Now, in addition to that, he is expected to give up all mentioned above. Why?! His wife, willing to divorce him right away, disclosed all details of such treats by GE. I guess, there isn't perfect perfect thing for anyone?

September 17, 2002 =Not Monday? |
Wasn't Monday?! Untrue - Tuesday! Didn't feel like it. Work was like tough Monday! Well, still same as first working day after weekend. Lots of urgent messages like returning calls, quoting within short time, etc.
Requested a day off for this Friday! Seriously. Don't want to work?! Nope. I've got 2 extra days off from the Company meeting from end of August. So I decided to take advantage of 1 of two days there.
Just wanted to make this coming weekend extra long! Practically 4 days off in a row! From Friday through Monday. Good, isn't it? Of course as usual... no plans for.
Told Boss Ito to sign off my request in the Intranet... you know what he said?! "Tak, I can give you as many days off as you want..." sounding so nice to me... like good friend! Then, "... as far as you come over the sales figures given." Man, he was just an ass (a little). Though, he wasn't that bad in that joke... I thought.
Japan's baseball is coming to an end... just like Major League Baseball. This year... Tokyo Giants from the Central League and Seibu Lions of the Pacific League - they are expected to face up each other in Japan Series starting early next month.
Good thing... that I confirmed that Atlanta Braves is to advance to post season... again! Hope do a good job to come to the World Series!
Did I tell you that, in this month with regular budget of mine, I am quite broke. Indeed am. Since I had to renew the contract for apartment lease valid for next 24 months from August, did pay two months leasing fee in total. Definitely hurt my budget and it really did. Monthly fee is $670.00 and this month, it was doubled like said. So I could have used half of it as my spending... for other months... not current month.
And my shopping list is full with items. Not only about jeans bought over last weekend, shoes for work, ones for weekend, eyeglasses, and more to come. Oh, I haven't bought Ally McBeal DVD III... now about IV is coming up! Gee, I have tons of things to catch up. Friends, throw me some cash from there!
Friend ChanKen - welcome back from America. Saw your website... well done! I see lots of work in there. Keep up with good work, man!

September 16, 2002 =Long Weekend Done Already? |
Forgot to mention of movie saw yesterday. The "Returner." Japanese movie with Takeshi Kaneshiro starring.
I don't know if you can get some image of the movie from the poster above. Definitely the like of "Matrix." As a result, this movie was pretty cool. Not necessarily about good computer effects... also human touching story. Unexpectedly good. Cool.
For today, rental movie (again!) - it was "Shipping News." It was okay.
In the afternoon at the same time watching that movie on TV... had to work a little. People from other countries weren't aware of our holiday and, with no doubt, had sent me some requests as "overnight reply is a must." stuff like that. Well, I cannot be left alone?!
Not much appetite.
Hmmmm, long weekend is coming to an end. I have done nothing besides tons of sleep! I was supposed to shop more... not just a pair of jeans... but more like shoes, etc. Out of budget this time.
Oh still not yet to Austin Powers! (What was I thinking?)
Tomorrow, Prime Minister Koizumi is to visit to North Korea... first time EVER (!) that PM of Japan to visit that country... where no official admission to.

September 15, 2002 =Day - Respect for Elders |
National Holiday. "Keiro-no Hi." Or "Day with Respect for Elders." Sounds nice, huh.
Day 2 - still boring. As planned to bore myself?! Hahaha.
New pair of jeans bought. Not Levi's or Guess... it was Edwin. Size 34. Could go for 32... though, I was hesitated. Man, wish could be a little more slim.
Price?! at 7,200 yen. About $65.
New pair of glasses NOT bought YET. Though, in addition to having decided to one particular brand (the other day), now I know what color and type of shape of glasses. Ready to pick up a pair. Though, need to save some cash first! Hahaha.
Lunch - Ramen noodles in popular place in Ikebukuro
Dinner - pasta

No plans for this prolonged weekend. Monday is off... since Sunday is National Holiday as "The Respect to Elders." Yeah, I am still in part of "paying respect" rather than "given respect" since am still young! Got it?!
Wow, have I been dumped?
Some exercise! Went to the batting gauge and hit some balls! Fun.
Japanese movie from rental at night. What else?! --- Pretty much nothing.

September 13, 2002 =Holiday Weekend Celebrated with Italian Food |
Working late. Year, unusually late. Up to 10pm or a little later than that. Busy?! There were some customers who were quite demanding or requesting some urgent stuff at the last minute. Well, since I am in the service industry, cannot and shouldn't complain much here. Do you agree?
At least still some (crazy?) customers were coming to my for my service. Not bad.
I was one of three leaving the office last. Mori (male) and Kaori (female). We were walking toward the train station and, on the way, we decided to grab something to eat. At the same time, we encountered some familiar faces... Ron (American coworker) and Yasuko Funabashi (the usual buddy) just came out from some restaurant. Yeah, I was supposed to be part of that!
Guy in Nagoya - Takashi Kiguchi was in town for my meeting took place in the morning and people went out for drinks with him. Though, I had to miss it due to some urgency like I said.
The party was just over; though Boss Takashima (party organizer?) told us to join for some extra time so that we could eat. Ended up in Italian restaurant near the station. Free food?! Don't know. Probably the collection is coming later! Hahaha.
As this, a long weekend just began!

September 12, 2002 =Long Weekend Just Ahead |
Not much appetite. Just ate sandwiches for supper. No more. Don't feel well...
Had a weird dream last night. Well, I am accustomed to. I, in that dream, first-hand experienced dying myself. This time not really get killed or anything, which is usual, but I died like from sickness.
Took about 3 seconds or so after realizing, in the dream, that I was dead to wake myself up. Man, I really thought that it was it!
Busy working... especially setting up some meeting for tomorrow and preparing documents regarding to some large account. More than 5 sales persons are coming to listen to me in that meeting taking place tomorrow. Serious work?! Yep. Very rare, huh.Once every two months?! I get into serious mode to tell something for work?! Hahaha. Odd may not that be good at all! You know, I spend company's money for expense and no return like selling records or profits!
Bad person... ha! Maybe lay-off is coming up to me in person? Or maybe I am to be deported out of country.
Friend (and ex-coworker) Rumiko Chiba contacted last night. Now she is jobless. Oh boy, she too? As far as I know, Emi Takahashi is out of job... and Toru Abe.... Hmmmm, seems definitely in bad economy.
And she hasn't got boyfriend yet?! I forgot to ask her.
What about me?! Some of you must like to ask me how "it" is going?! Well, I can tell that it's quite... let me emphasize, it is indeed SLOW... though, still there and still going on.
Dodgers... in LAX - Nomo came to grab the 14th victory from SF Giants. Great!!! This really makes lots of MLB fans in Japan happy after Hisanori Ishii's injury. Ichiro?! No one ever get surprised at his great and steady performance.
iCal is downloaded. When is "iSync" then? (for Palm synchronization)
Good night.

September 11, 2002 =Has 9/11/01 Changed America? |
Well, I am going to close today's update shortly. I won't write much. Busy reading many articles in CNN homepage. Yeah, mostly talking about "Did September 11, 2001 change everything?!"
Am sure that many people would say "yes, it has." Though, article mentions as " nope." America has been strong and challenged difficulties even before the mentioned disaster.
I will have a prayer for those who lost lives in the event.

September 10, 2002 =Day before Memorial |
Am sure that no one will ever forget about what happened in NYC one year ago. Definitely, one huge historic sadness. Now we are coming to 1st year memorial.
Hope no terrorists act will be coming up. We don't - we never need such thing again!
Apple's MacOS X 10.2 now coming with great application called "iCal" - now available from the official website. Yeah! It is long-waited for all Mac and Palm users. Indeed a "must" application.
Having suffered with severe headache since yesterday. Gee, still it's on me. Need to get rid of it. Why this bad?! Lack of sleep? With too much stress around?!
No appointments for today. Very domestic work from one to another. Easy? Somewhat.
Oh better tell you... we will come to nice time - this weekend and next one... we enjoy a little extra time since next and following Mondays are national holidays. What should I plan?

September 9, 2002 =On Biz Trip? |
Listening to the music like Eminem?! Is that new Tak style?! Unusual, huh. Well, playing a music CD "UX - Premium on Music" including Bon Jovi, ABBA, Sting, etc.
Monday was quite usual one. Had 4pm appointment in place quite far from the office. Then, it was 6pm when that meeting really got called. Gee, no way to come back in to the office for more work. Rather, coming home and work as necessary. So I did. Smart. Very smart.
Gee, how come it rains again. Irritating.
Talked to Kirk over the phone. Confirmed that he was back from Atlanta. He was telling me that I was the center of conversation between all friends and him since I had new girlfriend without telling them in advance. Oh boy! I was in trouble once again!
At least, Friend Foyer, Tyson, Tom, and some others were really disclosing my PAST secrets, huh! Gee! Not fair! I wasn't there!!!
Speaking of which... another friend from Atlanta time... finally got contacted with Charlie - who just got back from NYC! Now one more friend... great friend is now around! In fact, he lives in same Urayasu! Well yet, the other side of town... better than far away, though. This is such great news since I am bored over weekends! (still having such girlfriend somewhat)
And last thing... I received some photo from Akiyoshi Mori on vacation to NYC! I really feel that I ought to share this with ya'll. Thanks, Akiyoshi!
About to come to the Memorial.

September 8, 2002 =Dog Day?! |
Played with a dog. That was it for today!
Oh I forgot to mention one thing from yesterday. In the Ueno Station, I did log on to Internet through the free and trial service of wireless network in the Station.
Just for 30 minutes and it was interesting convenience. I happened to have my laptop and this was the true first time to really use my Airport Card installed in my machine.
Not that fast (access) like home here. Though, it was certainly cool to do! Maybe I should carry my PowerBook all the times?! Hmmmm.
Oops, sorry to have disappointed ya'll about not putting up any photo of Yoshio's girl. Man, I could have done a better job!
Now passing the midnight. And still laundry isn't done yet. Oh boy!

September 7, 2002 =Plan Changed |
Plan changed. No going to Omiya. Didn't even see her. Period.
Instead, I came to a great fun with other friends. Came to get along with Yoshio Iimura and his (new?) girlfriend. Wow, good surprise!
Yoshio Iimura - trying to bring his pants down?! (Please do not!)
We came to Harumi area for some plays. Like ping-pong and some video game.
Can you see his girlfriend?! They were playing hard on drum game. Yoshio was so serious to beat her in all games! He merely doesn't know how to lose?!
Gee, she really didn't come in to this shot! I really thought that I'd got her! Hmmmm.
Before meeting them in Ueno area, I was shopping in the major department store. Didn't buy any... just pretending to make sales clerk be generous to me. Ha!
One of sales ladies... thought that I was still student! Man, that was a great feedback! I was indeed flattered. She made my day!

September 6, 2002 =Who's on Vacation for Now?! |
I should tell you about this. My (immediate) boss - Akiyoshi Mori, the supervisor for sales team, is on vacation. From yesterday. Yeah, he is on trip with his wife. To New York!. Indeed to the "Big Apple." About the same time last year, he was planning the exactly (or almost?) same trip to same place for same purpose. Fun.
As you know by now that he was forced to cancel everything at that time due to 9/11 tragedy. He was thankful that he wasn't involved in such disaster and he is alive today!
Though, he didn't want to give the all ideas up about going to that place. So he did this year. He won't be present in NYC on memorial September 11... he will be returned before then. Though, he will come to see the place of event and will experience the atmosphere of hard pain given to that country.
Cannot wait his return since am very curious how it would be. Very looking forward to hearing his experience - what to have seen and heard and felt, etc. Maybe I should take another vacation to go to US like back in February when I went to see friends in Atlanta.
My job task was rather light for this Friday. Well, some exceptions were still there for me. Around the late afternoon, the things really came to their climax and I was in hurry to set all up within limited (given) time for clients. Multi-tasking, really.
Anyway, this week is coming to an end and freedom in term of having weekend is coming up. Plans? I am supposed to see girlfriend - and I will come up to her place Omiya, instead of coming down to my area for her. Nope - I really should clear that up... about your doubt. I am NOT intending to see her parents even though, yes, I am going to her area (not necessarily her house, moron!).
Will see (ha!).
Rainy weather for all day. Means continuous through the weekend?! Hope not.

September 5, 2002 =Scary News? |
Yeah, finally the weekend is a couple minutes away! Well, only one more day to go!
Resumed selling business and three appointments. Funny thing was that I ended up with President Murakami came along with me to see one of existing customer. Yeah, I mean President... and CEO currently as well. He wanted to come to see that client to confirm that I was doing good enough to keep that customer happy? Hahaha.
Truth? Don't know. He's got some reasons to do so. Most definitely I was well-mannered... just for your record! Am so funny or stupid or what?
New business? Good news from all activities done today?! Not quite.
Really - we have to trust the phrase as "Rome cannot be built for a day."
Will have some drinks with friends tomorrow nice. Yeah, nice fun time... just as needed. Toru Abe should be joining us.
Kazuya Inoue - coworker now gets new assignment and leaves from Tokyo Office... will be in Narita Airport. Good luck!!!
I've got some plans as to see Lucky on Saturday... and possibly some movie. Maybe or maybe not Austin Powers in Goldmember?! Finally? About time?! Hmmmm.
Well, let's take it all easy to see how Friday would go.

September 4, 2002 =Different Kinds? |
Pain - true headache really annoyed myself almost all day long today! In fact, I mean hereby that there were two different kinds of pain called "headache."
First kind... definitely physical one. Somewhat I keep having it for a long time since this morning, I believe. Don't know what really causing this.
The other kind... I'd better say that it seems like a pressure or some kind of stress. How come so bad?! New fiscal year just began, right? Hmmmm.
Well, my day was spent for filing... mostly. I've got tons of paper work on my desk and I really thought that I should clear all up before bringing more businesses to take care. Then, more than 20 or 30 clients were taken care in filing-wise. Pretty damn good. Did more than expected. Getting more and more clean on my desk? Certainly. Though, I've got still some more to go into file cabinet! Hahaha.
No appointments made for today.
Stayed in and calm. Though, now am ready to go out once again. To see as many clients as possible within certain and limited time from tomorrow on. I will survive. Well, I have to.
I heard and confirmed that friend and ex-coworker Toru Abe left his work for good. He now decided to move on. Hope he comes to find what he really wants to do for rest of his career. I bet it wasn't that right for him.
Some readers, like Tetsuji Fukui, asked me if girlfriend Lucky and I really got along okay recently since there was no such update about seeing each other, etc. Yeah, you're right... I haven't seen her for quite bit. I didn't mean to make it happen like that. I guess, love really demands patience?! Oh boy, I may not have such thing. I guess, she does do her own things and I stick with work. May not be best kind of combination.
How come am I drinking tequila tonight?!

September 3, 2002 =Where is the Bottom Line? |
Another plunge?! Japan's stock market is going down without braking. Down streak is on and this makes tons of... millions of investors cry and scream!
Now I just saw that more than 200 points down in Dow Jones Industrial... oh boy!
Tak's Tuesday... not that easy... still not that difficult. Came home about 10pm... leaving work for home around a little before 9pm. Yeah, while ya'll were enjoying extra holiday - Labor Day, I was dealing with hectic businesses on the other side of globe! Ha!
So how was your Labor Day?
New building complex open today in front of Tokyo Station. Called "Maru Building" - high-rise with tons of shops and restaurant. The opening ceremony was a part of news for tonight everywhere. Man, I should check that out soon. Seems cool. Since that is located in major business district, I should get a chance to stop by while working. Maybe --- maybe not.
You know what?! I realized today that monthly budget for September doesn't look too good. Yeah, just several days passed and I already can tell so. Gee, that's pretty bad.
Need your help. Not hands giving toward me... need money! Cash! Dinero!

September 2, 2002 =Without Fun? |
First working day in September... after finishing the fiscal year of 2002. Now starts new one. Means like New Year's Day without any kind of celebration. Why no fun? Because you know, I will be chased by NUMBERS! Yeah, it's always damn destiny in being sales personnel. Hahaha.
How come I was watching "Titanic" tonight?! Just happened to be so.
I had to deal with lots of minor things... which weren't connected to anywhere big business... I didn't mean that I had wasted time... but this kind of thing will be a huge dilemma between satisfy all customers of mine with trust and complete my duty with good sales figures. Hmmmm.
New location of my desk. Better than before?! Well, efficiency of air conditioning - definitely yes! Otherwise, it was okay.
This week looks very crowded. I probably have to keep running until the end of year... in order to keep my job?! At least I have to come with good or reasonable numbers to show how much dedicated I could be. Very tough and very serious. And unfortunately, I don't have a choice.
That's why I am watching "Titanic?" Wao, good thinking.

September 1, 2002 =Good Mooooovie? |
Good weather really did push me to go out. So I did. Shinagawa wasn't usual -- and just saw a movie. That was it. That was good enough for me.
<Wrong> "Total Fears" (That's for Japanese title) <Correct> "The Sum of All Fears."
I was quite wrong. Kept thinking about the title as "Total Fears." Though, original title in English was similar, although still different. Correct one as "The Sum of All Fears."
Scary atomic bomb attack to Baltimore. No joke, huh. Really frightening.
Movie description was quite interesting and indeed real to me. Good one. Thumbs-up.
All right, weekend is over... and now we all are in September calendar. Last part of the year to go! Don't wait too long about what you want to accomplish within this year! Time really flies and passing by quite fast... faster than you think! Gee, I really push myself to do something for the same reason! I sometimes slow myself down quite... am good at it. Hahaha. And notably, new fiscal year now begins.
Man, I should get busy!
