Tak's Milestone: October, 2003

October 31, 2003 =Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloweeeeeeen, folks!

No party for me here in Japan. No costumes, either. Though, I don't want to miss such feeling of "eventful" day like this. Yeah, mind of being child... sometimes (really) necessary - don't you think?!

Friday - didn't come to have any appointments in the afternoon. Done 2 within the morning, though. Tetsuji Fukui was pushing me a deal of quotation for his customer and, yeah, I did it... Didn't take me much time there. I bet that he would bring that business for me to push my figure up! Hehehe.

Yeah, that's the ONLY way that I can manage my number at work. What else?! Don't know how (to sell business in other way).

Usual sales meeting took place from 5... didn't cover much... not much stuff to cover, either! Hahaha... should keep my mouth shut about it. Anyway, done by 7.

Didn't plan to... but happened to go out for drinks... good timing right before extended weekend. Joined Ex-Boss Takashima- with some other followers. Ms. Misoo, Ms. Kimura, Mr. Matsushita, and (usual?) Ms. Ishiyama... It was very different members in such fun time and I enjoyed myself with such faces around. Besides Ishiyama, all were Takashima's staff members in the department. Good deal?! Well, some interdepartmental communication. Hehehe.

Drunk!

October 30, 2003 =Sickened

Didn't have good feeling... my stomach was sort upset in this morning... while I had to hit a long way to an appointment in Kanagawa. On the way, I found that Odakyu trains were all stopped due to an accident. Yeah, accident with trains mean someone threw himself (or herself) into the rail track... dead (mostly).

Anyway, I had to take a different way... a little detour and took me more than planned. Though, I arrived at Sagami Ohno station... had enough time to make the appointment on time. You know what?! Hiroshi Kuboki was supposed to show up and didn't... at least for a while. He really hit into a mess with delay (due to the accident).

"Oh, didn't you call because I thought that you were in the same mess from such morning traffic," he told.

Well, I wanted to be a little smarter! Hehehe. Anyhow, I had extra 20 minutes or so for a coffee... good start.

By the time for lunch, my stomach was clam down and it was all okay. Means went all okay?! Well, I can describe as so-so.

Chinese dish for lunch. 870 yen.
Ate home... not cooked by myself. 740 yen.

How many coffees for a day?! Well, one, two, three, four... FOUR cups of coffee. Too many?

For your information, we will have extended weekend up to Monday. Yeah, after tomorrow, things will be all about PARADISE! Hehehe. Seems weather is to be nice. NO precise plans yet... though, certainly do something. "Kill Bill" hits all theaters... should I check it out?!

Wait a minute! "Kill Bill" has bee out already! Didn't realize. My bad!

Day before the Halloween. Are you ready for ToT? (i.e. "Trick or Treat!")

23:57

October 29, 2003 =Difference

Christ's sake - things always carry differences... human opinions and feelings are no exceptions. Agree?! Today, small argument took place between Hiroshi Kuboki and myself. Yeah, I sent single message via Email and he was copied in. Didn't like what he saw in my single phrase in it to his staff members.

Lack of appreciation... that's his point and I got blamed for it. What did I say?! In return to a message from his department, I didn't put "Thanks." Instead, I just sent single phrase of mine, "Try to do it quicker next time." He didn't like it.

Small thing, I would consider... not a big deal like jeopardize a relationship... Though, don't like much what happened. Maybe my fault... maybe his... since bringing his temper straight up to me with no advance notice! Hehehe.

Well, at least some spice to my boring working day?! Hmmm, that may be it!

Other than that... things were flat and normal. No excitement... no surprise, either. Oh, I should tell you one more story... Some (American) customer was with me over the phone. His inquiry was about when he gets stuff from place in question - San Diego. Finally (throughout the fire disaster), things are moving and his (urgent?) item is on the way. He just wanted me to hurry up all things to be most convenient to him. Yeah, surely I made a promise that we would do all we could. Then, I gave him delivery option between (slow) consolidation service and (fast) exclusive truck to his site. Only a matter of money... DINERO.

"How much that would be?!" - he asked. I replied, "Well, you tell me. You've got my quote."

"Man, you tell me to find your quote... which isn't before me for now." He came back like that. Well...

"Oh boy, sorry to hear that... I have to tell you that my file isn't before me, EITHER!" We both laughed.

He knew I was kidding and didn't mean to be mean or arrogant. Somehow, this (unique) joke made it though and he kept laughing... I did a good job, didn't I?! Hahaha.

A little irritating argument and yet fun talk with customer. Well, I can conclude that I have spent hell of a day! Good night.

October 28, 2003 =General Election 2003

Time to decide Japan's destiny. Today, General Election 2003 officially kicks off. Voting day is set on November 9th. Yeah big deal, huh?! For Ogaki region, there are three candidates running.

Mr. Mitsuhiro Takagi, aged 44, from Japanese Communist Party
Miss
Rina Ohishi, aged 26, from Japanese Democratic Party
Mr.
Yasufumi Tanahashi, aged 40, from Japanese Liberal Democratic Party (held a seat in previous term)

Candidate from Communist is out of question. Tanahashi is expected to sweep that young (inexperienced?) lady from the election race. Tanahashi is from elite family; while Ohishi doesn't have much in her profile besides her high school diploma.

So the way we get along with what we are going to have in regional election is so obvious?! Most likely.

Tak's today. Busy with appointments?! Sure, three of them for single day today. All went well?! Well somehow I made it. Although, some other customers were problem for me. San Diego is currently suffering from the fire made California call state of emergency and didn't have communication on job. Some customer expects me to bring something... where I had none at all... oh boy.

"There is nothing I can do at this point" - I said. No information whatsoever since office was forced closed, you know!

Gee, I found a hole in my pants worn for today. Gee!!! Need new pair of suits! Oh this weekend, MoonFlower and I plan to go to a big sale... full of RL's. Yeah, Ralph Lauren stuff.

Another hole... my shoe. Rainy today and my left foot got wet. Gee, what a day! You know, most annoying thing on job.. is that all shoes I buy don't last as long as I want them to.

Too many on my want (wish?) list. Hahaha. Suits, shoe, fountain pen, eye wear, what else, what else...

Better hit to my sack... no further thinking of what I want! Zzzzz.

23:40

October 27, 2003 =Daiei Hawks came to Japan Champion!

Japan Series came to an end with Daiei Hawks to be the champion for 2003! Man, all 7 games were so exciting and gathered all attentions from the nation. Good games, great series!

Manager Sadaharu Oh thrown toward the moon!

New week and all went fine?! Well, it was okay. Made a short trip to Atsugi City - Kanagawa pref. Yeah, long way! Trip was with Tetsuji Fukui - good business partner for me.

Probably, it's worth to introduce a little bit about him here, right?!

Tetsuji Fukui aged 31 - sales for air export... probably he's the only one being partner to me on biz after Hiroshi Kuboki joined management. Tetsuji is very aggressive in his sales activity. Bet that is more than anyone else at work. Yeah, way more than me! He brings lots of new businesses (means PROFIT) to work and his dedication and royalty is far superior.

His motivation to work harder is somehow kept at high level... this is something I really should learn about. Yeah, "tenacity of purpose" - good and suitable expression of what Tetsuji has for work. Me?! Simply don't.

On the way to the appointment in Atsugi, I learned a lot about him. Our conversation seemed endless... His focus on looking for new business, still plenty of attention to existed customers, and he never gets satisfied... all were so impressive. Am sure that he is great asset of company... hope it really realizes and recognizes such fact. So far, that kind of thing is a shortage in my understanding.

He is damn serious... about work. Otherwise, he's very funny!!! Good friend of mine. But, am positive that he is the raw model at work!!!

My work?! Appointment was fine, no problem. Although, received an ironic message from single client. "You haven't visited me for a while and you should do if you want my business." - Existing customer and all go fine for sure. The other day, he made a comment that I didn't have to give him a call unless any problem.... so which one to follow?! What he really meant?! Hmmmm, sometimes chasing after customer is just like Nintendo game!

Being salesperson is nothing but just servant for personal care, right?! Makes me feel like so outrageous with (some crazy) customers!

23:00

October 26, 2003 =Resting?!

Not much to tell from Sunday's Tak... didn't do much. Well, at least I can put up more pictures from Tak's TDL2003. Yeah, night pictures, how about that?!

Yeah, never missed Electrical Parade - the most popular event at TDL!

Everyone loves it!

Neat , huh! All pumpkins were lighted up, too!

Night's finale - fireworks!

23:31

October 25, 2003 =TDL2003

It was Tak's "TDL2003" today! TDL stands for Tokyo Disney Land. Yeah, good place to go with loved ones.

Entrance of TDL - Halloween decoration everywhere!

How come not TDS (Tokyo Disney Sea)??? - that I have never been to.
Well, such decoration special is only at TDL! That's why.

Neat, huh! And millions of people waited for Halloween Parade!

Even trash can was painted! Hehehe. Fun to be in such atmosphere.

Mickey and Minnie were most popular... more than me!!!

Even kids held cellular phone with camera to take picture of Mickey!

Ogakijin's exclusive!!!
Mickey's ass! Am sure that no one would ever think of get such shot!

I DID IT! (In fact, it was huge one - have you ever realized?! Hehehe.)

Mickey in Halloween costume! In fact, he was busy!

Have you seen him with such outfit?! (sure you have)

Magic number - 20 was everywhere. This year, TDL came to an celebration of 20th anniversary!

Yeah, TDL in existence for this long! When I was 10, it was open in Urayasu...

October 24, 2003 =Pay Day

Pay day, folks. Pay day. Paid. Pagado. Yeah, new balance sheet (of the month) is to begin. Good stuff?! Well, every 25th of month, I feel like having decided to do well on such accounting issue for new coming month. Miserably enough, I fail month to month. Poorly.

How about you, folks?! Am sure that you make more than me and everything is flat and normal...

Working on Friday became time for peach... seemed that I didn't have to come to any challenge over weekend. Thank God.

Went out for drinks after work. Sort like gathering for coworkers... from same department. Started Boss Ito and me... then rest joined us later. Fun stuff? Sure as always. Good people... bring good time! No doubt.

Came home late. Damn late. Though, came with some ease brought by alcohol. And still came with stomachache. Hmmm.

Tomorrow's plan is "TDL." Hope you know what I am talking about with this three-letter word.

October 23, 2003 =Everything Okay?

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Happened to be one of millions out there being "interrupted" by train accident occurred in Gyotoku Station. Serious accident... someone threw himself in the track... dead!

Must be suicide.

Left work around 8pm... the accident was at 8:40pm. I was in Toyocho Station. Same announcement was over and over... My train was eventually (with 20 minute delay or so) came to Kasai Station - one stop before my Urayasu. BUT no farther!

So many people from the same train decided to stay within station... waiting for all to be cleared. Still many others decided to take buses if direction was right. Me?! Well, one thought to another... finally decided to take a taxi. Lucky enough to catch one, too.

Cost me about 1,000 yen... about 10 bucks. Hmmmm, I should ask train carrier to compensate?!

Nikkei dropped more than 550 points... Most severe plunge this year. Have you suffered from this?! I bet that dead man at Gyotoku Station made millions of loss for today and lost place to go! Man, too bad. It was simply impossible to find single stock finished up from previous dealing.

Call from Yodobashi Camera (my usual destination for all digital gadgets to buy). Reminded me of Tag Heuer watch... that just came back from manufacturer after exchange of batteries. You know, this watch has been in my possession since original purchase - which is 13 years ago. You know what?! This is the first time to install new battery. Original battery lasted that long... truly!

Yesterday, I officially gave up on my plan buying new fountain pen - by St. Dupont. Due to financially challenging condition that I am currently in.

Tired.

23:54

October 22, 2003 =Replacement

Good "replacement" took place for me today. Apple Service Center has sent me replacement kit for PowerBook's foot. Yeah, remember that one of four feet was just missing since I took this computer outside?! Well, no serious mechanical failure... just a matter of outfit, right?! Anyhow, lubber foot was now attached and this keeps the computer stays still and evenly.

Look:

So my (only) issue is now solved! Ready to take off! (for what?)

Currently (my favorite - still crazy movie) "Austin Powers Goldmember" is on my DVD player. I know, time for shake it! Hehehe. How come I remain being high?! Must be some influence from last night's music fare. Got to be!

Tak's today. Started in governmental office for import permit. Man, took me quite while. Holding three petitions in my hand. Well, my stuff didn't take much time since officer was used to see my documents - same format over and over every time. Just so many people ahead of me and that was taking too much time there for all others! Too long and so boring to me at lobby. Almost started taking a nap!

Should've brought magazine or two in!

In the afternoon... remained in the office - ENTIRELY! Hey, I was outside sales, wasn't I? Damn right. Although, too many domestic stuff to take care for me today. Reports, meeting, confirmation... what else? Oh, quotation. No big deal... but many small stuff to do. My to-do list showed so much at the beginning of the day, already!

"Reasonably busy" might be very suitable word to describe how I was. More than some other expression like "swamped" or "overwhelmed." Sounds fair, doesn't it? Some coworker called in and asked for me... then I answered... that person was surprised that I answered. He said, "I just gave a shot." Yes, it happens and DID.

Today's keyword... REPLACEMENT... sound like telling about part of my future?! Hmmmm.... meaningful, indeed. Man, I should get busy to deal with new businesses coming along with good profits. Right?! Wow, time is ticking... hurry!

The kit for my computer was delivered around 8:30pm tonight. Upon my request... delivery after 8pm tonight. I did call in and requested so over the phone around 11am. Man, I was very thankful about a guy on this delivery. Almost same business I deal with... came to my residence at that late and appeared to be not big deal at all. Man, reminded me what kind of business I was in.

Work is tough. Service is one hell of the job!

Today, officially starts "Tokyo Motor Show 2003" in just 3 days!!! Friend Israel in Mexico doesn't seem to be coming this year. Maybe next one in two years?! Have I scheduled to go to that show with camera for beautiful (some still cute) ladies as companions?! Well, so far I haven't got any tickets for free yet.

http://www.tokyo-motorshow.com/eng/

How about the "Panther." - Yeah, so-called Panther, actually MacOS X 10.3 - on sale from this Saturday. Yeah in four days! Am I going to get one copy?! Is that sure thing?! Well, cannot tell for positive yet. Can admit that it is under SERIOUS consideration at this stage. I will see paying 14,800 yen (about 130 bucks) would be better off or not.

23:38

October 21, 2003 =Fun at Tuesday Night?!

"You should open your time for me tonight." - single message via Email to me from Client T. Not really mandatory... but kindly asked me to join that gentleman. No details available to me up to last minute that I met him in Ginza around 6pm.

Since it was customer's favor, I left work earlier than supposed to (official time of the day: 6:45pm). Hahaha. Excuse me, folks!

I was thinking that he wanted me to join a movie... like almost coming-out "Kill Bill." Man, I was really wrong. Look this:

"Mai Kuraki & Experience Special Live"

Princess of J-Pop? Mai Kuraki

Her Official Site: http://www.mai-kuraki.com/enindex.html

It was her special live with band called "Experience." Well, had no idea about this music band. Anyway, Mai Kuraki isn't bad choice at all... in fact, I like many of her songs. Probably I hadn't kept up much with her new songs... so only few songs sounded familiar to me. Anyway, I think her voice was very pure and sensitive. Her high tones were very impressive and unique.

Yeah as usual, I was having my digital camera in my bad... no bid deal, right?! It was! Upon the entry to the concert place, all bags were to be checked out! All recording devices and cameras would be on hold at that point until the show ends. Well, suddenly this idea came up to my mind... relocated my camera from main compartment to side pocket... to avoid such checking.

Purpose of doing so... was just that I wanted to take picture of Mai?! Nope... just didn't want anyone to hold my camera away from my presence!

Man, it was fun time... sweat much since standing and moved along with music... You believe me or not...

If you get a spare minute, stop by at above-mentioned official page of hers. Might be interesting.

23:05

October 20, 2003 =Tired

Hideki Matsui of Yankees hit 3-run homer!!! Wonderful news brought in from World Series... must be really big deal... It is!!!

I felt so tired... came home early and I took (late) nap... lasted about an hour and half or almost two. Must have been really exhausted. From trip?! What else caused this?! Hmmm.

Busy Monday. Spent entire afternoon with customers' visits. Hard work?! Well... it was okay.

Tak's gift brought back from hometown Ogaki.

Ogaki's Famous Japanese sweets called "Manju."

Part of my today's agenda, went down to Nishi Funabashi... actually TACT in Baraki. TACT - Tokyo Aircargo City Terminal. In September, this Terminal is scheduled to shut down due to lowered volume to handle in this terminal. Well, my visit was to Tokyo Customs Office here. Well, this place were like ghost place... Few people were around. Entrance... half gate was closed... Still commuter bus was in operation. Thank God...

Halloween version here. Have you done necessary shopping yet?! Ready for party?!

October 19, 2003 =Trip Is Over!

Finally, back in town. Too tired. Short of sleep! I spent much time with Mom... talked too much until late night. Yeah, plenty of stuff to tell her! You know, she needed to keep up with me of my up-to-date. Full of issues and funny stories too.

Anyway, hit the fast train around 3pm and came back here around 6pm. Ready to see Japan Series #2 tonight.

So far, checked all baseball events from Japan Series #1, World Series #2... and tonight Game 2 of Japan Series. Matsui hit 3 singles?! Woo! Daiei Hawks edged Hanshin Tigers 2 games in a row. Surprise, surprise!

Tired.

Oh, called up Apple Support Center for order request on missing lubber base of PowerBook. Took me about 30 minutes over the phone to complete register and order itself. Didn't expect this long... but the order was filed for FREE. Under warranty at this time. Lucky me! Lubber parts will be in mail on Monday - Tomorrow. On (possibly) Tuesday, repair process will be done on my partly broken laptop.

22:56

October 18, 2003 =Big Dam?

Biggest construction in progress - Tokuyama Dam

Biggest project in Gifu's Dam History! Will be complete in 10 years?!

Sneaked in to old building... Tokuyama Elementary School.

See, all were abandoned... entire school! This place will be under water once dam is completed.

Friend ChanKen - Today's navigator!

After Tokuyama - went out for eat and moved on to batting gauge... since ChanKen kept telling me that he needed to get some exercise. Wow, me too, you know. So we did more than a couple of swings in the gauge... without good shots. Hmmmm. Out of shape!!! Serious issue, I think. Cannot throw balls WILD ENOUGH, either!

You can check "Personal Movies" page out, too. Don't miss it.

ChanKen, thanks millions of your time! It was fun!

October 17, 2003 =Coutesy Call to Nagoya Brunch Office?

Hi, folks. Biz trip to Gifu... stopping over Nagoya Office... that you don't know what kind of "faces" working there. Here is my EXCLUSIVE photo report for you!

Nagoya Office - view from the entrance

Very small office?! Yeah, the one for less than 15 workers... including temps.

L-R> Hasegawa (Mgr), Kikuchi (Sales), and shy Kato (Supervisor)

L-R> Imada (new face since Aug.), Miss Yamanaka (only lady in office!), and Takabayashi

Those in pictures are regular (full-time employees) and there were other temps... that I didn't know of at all. I have least connection to this office since don't bring any (almost none?) biz to them. You know, I sell lest of all! Hehehe.

Sales Kikuchi spent almost a day with me on this trip. Thank you! It was good time to know you and work... hope your time in Nagoya will be very fruitful to your career!

He will be transferred back to Tokyo some time in future.

Hori - decided NOT to be in for work today since I was in town! MOST WANTED!

Was he in Urayasu for Tokyo Disneyland?! Man, would be ironic if so.

Meetings went okay and after Nagoya Office, I spent time in train toward home - in Ogaki. Finally, I came to see my parents around 10pm.

22:29+1

October 16, 2003 =No Memory Card

Yeah, beat me! I did take my digital camera out with me for short trip to an appointment in Ibaragi... and on the way, I came to realize... that there was no memory (xD-Picture Card) in it!!!

Shocked. I know. I felt ashamed.

Anyhow, how did the meeting with upset customer go?! Well, it was piece of cake before me! Any kind of tough and complicated customers can be a little baby that I can treat to make it smile after all! Hahaha. Well, at least, today's customer was surely mad... but, on the other hand, he came to see a little confidence that I came up to him for apology and some idea to prevent any future case.

Smart move, huh? Well, I knew that I needed to take such action quick... good stuff was that it was done quick ENOUGH.

For entire day, I held my PowerBook... the battery life was so superior... SUPER! Work laptop usually lasts probably half a day... but my PowerBook lasts like forever. You know, batter indicator shows around 3:00 to last... but on and off - I check emails time to time... I spent only half of it! Wow, great stuff.

Like I said, work laptop sucks! (still in a shop under repair!) GET RID OF IT! New one needed for someone dedicated to work! (i.e. ME!)

50,000 yen withdrawn from my bank account. All balance in the account is now in my hand! Well, I had to... because I will go on trip to GIFU tomorrow... And when is next pay day?! 25th... how many days to go?! Better NOT think about it?! Huh!

Between 1st meeting (Ibaragi) and following one... didn't have much time. Took me a little over TWO (2) hours to be back in town (Tokyo). Yeah, following appointment was at 2:30pm. Man, almost missed it. Though, I didn't know. You know, I always make it and NEVER LET ANYONE DOWN!

Sailor pen for today. Didn't use much... since most of time I was out.

I will send this update from home (Ogaki) tomorrow! Count on me, folks! Good night.

0:42+1

October 15, 2003 =Too Much Trouble!

Don't want to count... but plenty of troublesome issues for me... for recent days, it was all okay... sort like waiting for the moment to explode all together. And it did today! The damages (i.e. issues) were everywhere...

Some (customers) sent me email messages with ironic phrases in them... some others screamed over the phone call to me... if you are my customer and didn't have any problem with me today, you must be very nice one of mine! Hahaha.

For your record, this wasn't because of my wrong-doings... all things were in similar fashion at least for today... at least for my work place. Boss Ito was also swamped and, yeah certainly, in bad mood... which pushed everyone away from him. I was the only one didn't get scared to approach to that man! Hehehe.

Wait, there was some exception. Akiyoshi Mori was out of office... all day long. In fact, he was currently on vacation - his late summer time off! Wow... must be nice!

Although, this doesn't mean that his customers were all happy... correct?!

Left work around 9pm. Late enough. I have to go on (still short) trip to see upset customer in Ibaragi tomorrow. Man, didn't expect to until mid-afternoon today. Nothing but apology... I bow millions of times then!

For Friday, I confirmed of my trip... to Gifu. 2 important meetings there... means I come home - Ogaki?! Yep, most likely. No plans in hometown?! Will see.

Man, I am watching "Coyote Ugly" once again... just like every night! (seriously) - am getting into this movie and ready to memorize every single phrase in the story. Just like my favorite movies... "Pretty Woman" or "Wall Street." Certainly, it was best buy!

MoonFlower has placed an order of her 1st fountain pen in her life! Wao - good for her. Man, I wish I could have been rich enough to buy another fountain pen like her... (even though she just ordered her 1st one, remember?)

"Recovered" Cross ball-point pen (see yesterday's diary) was in use for my work today! Neat.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be one clam day in peace.

October 14, 2003 =Not Only Ties... But...

Rotation... is the word for my ties collection, correct?! Sure. Do you want me to have different kind of rotation?! I just pulled out my old organizer by Coach... didn't use much since the purchase... since my PowerBook and Palm took place for my best convenience.

So probably, you have never seen me with such organizer in my hand... but you always picture me with red Visor (Palm machine) in my palm, right?!

Well, let's go into new rotation thing. That organizer came along with 14k gold pen by Cross... this is very old one because this was purchased in the memory of new born... ME! Yeah, this pen is more than 30 years old or even longer.

Anyway, rotation - that I am talking about is PENS COLLECTION. How about it?!

Ball-point pen: Cross (US), Waterman (France), MontBlanc (Germany), Sailor (Japan), and (famous silver) Tiffany's.
Fountain pen: Montblanc (Germany) and Sailor (Japan)

Yeah, I can make a good rotation to be in good coordination with my outfit?! Yeah, could be!

But, here is a problem... big one. I cannot locate my Tiffany's!!! Where has it gone?! Disappeared!!! I know, it was silver made and I knew that I put the pen in the original box (famous sky-blue one). Though, don't remember where I put it! Man... too bad.

If you know where has my Tiffany's pen gone... please write me! Just in case... I just give a shot... even for one out of millions. You know that is only Tiffany's!

Maybe, 3rd rotation thing, after ties and pens, would be eye wear thing? Maybe - maybe not. Hehehe.

Work for today?! What about it?!

Congrats on Emi Takahashi - recent graduation from special school where she learned web design techniques. I'll talk to you later.

October 13, 2003 =Weeked (and Monday) is Over!

Biggest meal of the day!

Yeah, fish... seasonal one. Sanma or "saury" --- one of my favorites. Along with very new rice... made me so full... more than necessary. Didn't make me to be fatter... since very right kind of meal in combination. You see! NOT junk.

Paid reasonably for it. Very satisfactory.

Spent entire day with MoonFlower... but no big event done. Just checking out store to store... no purchase at all. She wanted shoe, bag, cloth, pen, what else. Her shopping list has been long enough... more than what I can catch up with her!

Argumentacion todavia continuiendo... en donde para terminarla? Y como? No idea. Digame!!!

October 12, 2003 =Mooooovie

Infernal Affairs... that was the name of movie I saw today. This was Hong Kong mooooovie... but no kung-fu! Neither Jackie Chan for this! Hehehe.

"Infernal Affairs"

How infernal? Well, those guys in the poster played as Police undercover and spy inside the Police. Am sure that this would hit US... there is a story that Hollywood wants a right to remake this movie for US. Don't know that title is to be identical then or not. Anyway, this was pretty interesting... and surely, infernal at the end.

I can give an A-.

What else?! Well, nothing really beside the movie.

At Yodobashi Camera - bought a blank DVD-R disc. You know what?! I came home and found more than several blank ones here!!! Gee, what have I done for nothing!!! Brain-dead or in amnesia?!

Mucho de argumentacion para mi con novia... no dia de mio...

October 11, 2003 =Work or Fun?!

Hi, folks... enjoying your time off?! Man, this long weekend weather isn't much appreciated... sprinkling for now outside. Too bad. Anyhow, spent my day for work and some fun on video game!

Man, too much caffeine for me today. Had more than 5 cups of coffee... I know, I really used to drink much like that... not any more like these days. I would say, two are still normal range... four would be highest... not five or more.

Game?! Yeah, played a little... on Xbox. 2nd or 3rd time since this machine came to me. Didn't play too long... just a matter of an hour or so (maybe shorter than that).

Work?! Sure. Some to do still. I sort cut it out... could've been endless... one after another. You know what I mean, right?! Yeah, did all least necessary for the moment. Otherwise, don't mind much to leave behind. Just like how you do your work! Hehehe.

Oh, got haircut. Didn't like much... but the guy wasn't that good at all... always I had back luck on who gave me a haircut. You know, my place is just like "Supercuts Hair Salon" type place... but no appointments or naming someone to serve me. First come first serve with whoever is available to provide service... is the rule. 1,900 yen. About 20 bucks and still considered as cheap in the area. That's why... good service gets priced high, right?! I know, I know...

At least - my hair got (not longer but ) shorter.

No MoonFlower for today. Maybe tomorrow. Hehehe.

October 10, 2003 =Set to Go!

Clear up! Sunny and very comfortable weather it was... hope everyone's mind was just like that... Mine?! Sort of. Busy day... full of appointments and didn't have much luxury to enjoy calm moment... almost at all.

No hard thing. Boss Ito and Nakabayashi were out for meeting and didn't see them at all... that was another good thing. Ha!

Another thing to have me feel better than usual was this:

You may be bored with such showcase... but this is NEW to my collection!

By dunhill... didn't buy this... it was (ex-Boss) Takashima's and asked him to give it to me! Really begged.

He gave me this back on Tuesday... I really liked it and pushed a deal to him! He finally (?) gave up on me to refuse. Hehehe. What a nice guy! Unlike me... Anyhow, how do you like this one?!

For work. Spent quite bit of time with Italian guy Stefano... making sales calls. Good result?! Well, at least made a GOOD introduction. Could be developed from here?! Well, who knows and God knows! But I feel quite confident.

It took me quite time to get used to his Italian accent... still English, though. Don't speak Italian... you know me, don't you?!

Let's show another picture... to share with ya:

Takayama Festival...

Do you know of this name?! Town called Takayama - southern region of Gifu Prefecture... famous for such fabulous festival twice a year and thousands of tourists visit that place during the time. You can see, in this picture, very fancy the pageants (floats) catch everyone's attention.

Yeah, I wish I were there.... in fact, I have never been to that place for festivity.

We're going into extended weekend up to Monday! Let's take it all easy!

October 9, 2003 =Working Hard or Hardly Working?

Easy Thursday?! Well, at least for Boss Ito who were suffering from hang-over two days in a row. Yeah, due to his heavy work being with such large customer, he dedicated his time for that. Went home so late like way passed midnight during this time... hurting his health. He left work earlier than usual. Good for him. Just needed and deserved it.

Tak's day?! Still without my own computer, hard to manage all... very inconvenient! Who brings money to company?! Hey, not me! Hehehe.

Anyway, stayed at my desk till noon and ate lunch in the office. Thereafter, I did 2 sales calls... went all okay. No new business for today. Just ain't my turn! I know, I was on right track to approach those customers. Will take time... do need to take time to get down to the earth with customer to see reality... that potential becomes profit or not. Yeah, that's the crucial part.

I saw more than several stores selling some goods for Halloween. Are you ready?! Have you decorated your place?! I should've bought some to change my place a little with such things! Living in this place (same apartment room) for more than 3 years hasn't done any change or reorganization at all. Boring place now, huh.

Still for now, I should (reorganize)?

Stiff neck... irritating. Lack of sleep causes such?! Probably so.

Diet of Japan plans to dismiss... winding up for snap election! Tomorrow! Not really snap one... but still. From tomorrow on, taking a month or so, very busy and NOISY time around. So many candidates run for the Diet and, surely, we have to choose the future of our country!

Have I voted ever before?! Nope. Not yet. Will do this time. Why not before?! Just didn't get a chance to (liar).

Visitor Stefano from Italy seemed on very busy and tight schedule. Tomorrow I will be with him for some appointments.

October 8, 2003 =Happy Camper?

Drunk... two nights in a row.... definitely my life is upward?! Hehehe... just happened to be in different festivities like these nights. That's it. Nothing really special... for last night, just outing. Tonight, just part of welcoming a guest from Milan, Italy. Guy named Stefano... counterpart in Italy. He dedicates in the sales force there.

How old does he look like to ya?!

He used to deal with US trade lane and he knows lots of guys in Atlanta office... man, he had lots in common with me. Wow... what a surprise.

This time, too bad that I didn't have much with him in activity... almost all customers of mine are procrastinated in meeting this gentleman... due to language barrier... not because of who he was! Anyway, hope his trip over Japan, at least 1st time for him! - would be very fruitful... he will spend two weeks from this Monday both in Tokyo and Osaka.

Welcome, Stefano.

Time to make a move in this time of year?! I just found several friends were recently decided to move on about their careers... wow. Surprise, surprise. Am sure and positive about those moves were on positive perspective and all of those who decided to take new path will come to succeed in any way they would want to be.

I will be any kind of help for those... if you read and think that it is you am talking about... yeah, you're important to me.

October 7, 2003 =No Help --- So?

Man, stay out of hope, so I have to find MY cheese, right?! (as per the book "Who Moved My Cheese?") I don't have laptop for my work since it's gone to shop for repair... no replacement. That's company's fault... but no one really cares.

So I had to take my PERSONAL computer out with me just in case. Like this morning, I had to show some customer in far place... and didn't want to leave all email messages unread. So the choice I had was to take my PowerBook to make sure that I keep up with rest of the world!

Yeah, had to cover my ass on my own.

By the way, "CHEESE" is the key for this moment. I am still in half way to read entire book and, spontaneously, someone mentioned something referring to the book. Yeah, interesting. This should've meant something!!!

Just borrow a DVD - "James Cameron's Dark Angel DISC 1." I have never seen any single episode entirely... but just became interested in discovering the series... Maybe great to kill time with it?! Will see.

"I said, I don't need!!!" Man, this is the phrase I heard from a taxi driver. HOW RUDE!

It was 740 yen for single ride to make an appointment with Client N. And then, I took 5000 yen bill out to pay. Truly, didn't have 1000 yen bill at all... Driver didn't want to take time to pull all small change for me and asked me whether if I had any smaller. Of course not.

Although, I found 40 yen in my wallet... I offered to pay that... and he came out with such phrase with CRAZY (fucking!) tone like that. Man, I was pissed! I almost kicked his ass out of his driver seat!!!

Sucks, hated it.

October 6, 2003 =Otra Vez?

I better say, "NOT AGAIN!" - 2nd time means no coincidence!!! My work computer crushed once again this morning... almost entire working day I spent without email communication. It's like a suicide! What else could I have done without computer?! Sitting at my desk for nothing!

Why no coincidence?! Well, that laptop went under repair back on Thursday... returned "complete" to me Friday afternoon. Monday morning, the symptom wasn't a bit changed... So what happened was definitely coming from some "serious issue" that never been fixed!

Hey, IT Team, DO YOUR WORK! I tell you what to do with it... very simple. Just a matter of dough!!! Buy me a new laptop! Am not telling you of decent one... just new one... making me feel refreshed for new work! Hehehe.

My Palm (actually "Visor Edge") is now (finally?) in progress synchronizing with my PowerBook. 1st time for more than half a year?! Wow, I should've done it much much before.

Mr. Sato - coworker... yet I forgot his first name... is resigning at the end of month. In the announcement by HR. Man, he couldn't even last in a single position for a year! Joined us back in end of January and leaving before November. What a shame!

In other words, I am awfully doing so well lasting for more than 3 years by now?! Yeah, really!

Lots of new comers to my work place without, seemed, personality... lots of quiet people... and still a few to leave. Oh boy... where in the world are we going for next?!

Had afternoon appointment in place so far away from the office. Took me a little over an hour or so... Have I wasted my time?! Yeah, seemed to be so... customer had way better (cheaper) rates than I could've provided. Gee, big surprise hit me with huge disappointment. Meanwhile, I gave her (the prospective client gave me no hope) a little pessimistic attitude! I wanted her to be pity on me to give something... still.

DID NOT WORK!

Italian guy - still sales visits our office this week and his presentation with Italian market overview took place early evening. Gee, why after 5pm?! Actually, started at 6:30pm. Hmmmm, pay me OT!!!

23:26

October 5, 2003 =Easy Sunday

Time for bed?! It's a little after 10pm... I should go to bed early tonight... for new week! Even though I know that all kind of horoscope tell that Taurus (my sign) wouldn't have good time in October, I will be well-prepared for any kind of uncertainty. Hahaha.

Yeah, at least I found more than several --- telling that October will be quite severe for me. After this month, my mood is to go upward.... so I read! Hehehe.

Woke up around 10am. Finally went outside around 2pm... for something to eat. Stopped by a cafe for coffee. Brought my laptop in and did some computing for 30 minutes or so. Read several newspaper... usual stuff. No bookstores for today.

Laundry is done... and I wanted to get haircut today. Couldn't. My place was crowded and I gave up on lining up. Too many people ahead of me... I just postponed to next weekend.

Now more to come to this web site. You see, "Macintosh History" page here. It's been published that in Japanese for a long time... more than several months for sure. Now here it is in English. Check it out!

Ties collection, Mac History... what else do you want out of me?!

22:29

October 4, 2003 =New DVD to Collection

Busy today?! Yep, quite bit. I just read some message from Atlanta about some work didn't go as planned or requested (by me!). Gee, always things I want don't come to the reality. Is that too much trouble for my counterpart?! Man, things are bad.

I better stop murmuring...

Anyhow, today's Tak... here. Went out for some research in town and ended up in Daiei Championship Sale - bought more than several things for my everyday needs. Like underwear... which you don't want ME to talk about.

Plus, this is another addition to my collection:

With the big discount from the Sale, "Coyote Ugly" is now in my shelf.

Listed price: 2,500 yen
Paid: 1,925 yen

Better than great... EXCELLENT! With wonderful choice of movie, I could be good household management! Hehehe.

Besides shopping, nothing really. I walked around SO MUCH. I really walked my legs off!!! I should rest tomorrow. Early morning today means slow morning tomorrow...

In that shopping, I wanted to buy books... but didn't have what I wanted there... too bad. I should check out some other Daiei stores tomorrow?! Sale will continue until next Tuesday or so.

You now can see new page in this site... Tak's "Tie Collection" Page.

23:41

October 3, 2003 =Good Work?!

Weekend... yeah, time for rest and to catch up with good sleep! This week, didn't get a chance (?) to have good sleep... like people say, sleep soundly... didn't have any. Mostly I went to bed way passed the usual bed time of mine. Like 2 or even 3am. Too much out there needed to think!? Truly.

Life isn't that easy!

Anyway, thank God... I will rest. Another big issue is that my girlfriend - MoonFlower is out of town! Wow, plenty of free time! YES! (Bad boy?)

Work... finally my laptop is BACK! Repaired all the way?! Well, don't know. At least, I was told by IT staff that "So far, after reinstalling entire system software, working fine. Seemed all okay." Yeah, too bad that I have to rely on such opinion. NOT truth. Well, will see that this (good condition) is to last or not.

No troubles for today?! I thought so until 4pm or so. Then, I came to find some upset customer of mine! Not the service provided by my department... but downstairs (i.e. different service menu). TOO BAD!

That's all for Friday.

October 2, 2003 =My Work Is Uselss without Computer?

All can be nothing... while computer is broken down. Literally TRUE... that I couldn't do anything without my laptop... seemed the hard drive had crushed and didn't work properly any longer.

Gee! Sucks!

Using Gateway desktop computer for today. Not at my desk!!! Man, I had to come back and forth to the place for computing and my desk. Really uncomfortable... who's bad is this?! At least I did handle my computer gently and nicely!!! (Since some IT staff think that I didn't carry computer in best manner. NOT true!)

Lots of confusions around about corporate name change took place yesterday! Boss Ito answered the phone with saying OLD name of company! His fault!

Man, NHK - national channel of Japan - has Spanish class on and I just saw briefly... DAMN EASY! I can deal with that without seeing TV! Tan facil! Hahaha.

Tyson - am trying to reach you via email... though, I have wrong (old) address of yours, man! What happened?! Need your help in US for me to gather some information! (seriously) Well, I try some other way... when reading this brief message to you, you can email me via this site. Please DO!!!

Only one appointment. Had some difficult tasks to do for whole afternoon. Good news?! Well... September sales result was out today. Good stuff?! You know me! Hehehe.

More than 200 points up on Nikkei (Stock Exchange)??? Oh boy! I missed out big festivity!!! Didn't know that the Nikkei became that strong after all!

Lunch - skipped.
Supper- at
Wendy's. Lots of fries! Greasy stuff, huh! I know - I will watch out my weight from TOMORROW. Today isn't the day.

Just read Nikkei Business (most prestigious Japanese business magazine like Forbes or Economist) 9/15 issue - there were lots of ads from my favorite brands like Hugo Boss, TUMI, S.T. Dupont, and Monblanc. Man, I need to go out for shopping! Oh, Daiei chain stores are all on biggest sale since its own pro-baseball won the League Championship. Man, I shouldn't go to work... but to bargain! Hahaha.

23:53

October 1, 2003 =New Month, New Name?

Entrance seemed brand new... like some other place that I were visiting?! Hahaha.

New corporate name, UPS Suzuyo Freight Services, Inc.

Have I remembered?! Well, I have to get used to say this name...

Catalogue and new cards were also ready to pass out.

All brown... "What can Brown do for you?" --- right?!

Oops, this is registered, right?! Oh, used it as quote... right?! Hehehe.

One more thing... and totally new to us.

Identification card to carry. Man, my workplace is just for less than 150 people...
Do we have to identify ourselves like that?!

Edwin's small towel... gift from Mr. Tanabe whom we gave a baby shower.

Oh, I should get a picture of new baby... I thought it was baby girl.
