Tak's Milestone: November, 2003
|
November 30, 2003 =Long Trip |
Hi, folks. Enjoyed your turkey and walked your legs off in shopping mall?! Well, rainy again... and I started in Kimitsu.
MoonFlower's home ground - Kimitsu
Not because planning to see her parents, moron! Just visited that place. Not even stopped by her house, got it?! Well, this was the 2nd time visiting this town.
For your information, I have never met MoonFlower's parents yet.
For what?! No particular reason. Oh I drove a car... hadn't done for a long time. Nice to drive... I like driving. And bad enough?! Made her auto dirty enough...
Extremely dirty. Well done, Tak! Hehehe.
Started in Kimitsu... ate lunch and stopped by the public library. Then decided to go up to Tokyo... since my new stuff was ready. Received a call letting me know so this morning and we decided to go up for pick-up.
Arrived. Alain Mikli... new pair of glasses! Tak's #5 pair for use! How do you like them?! Man, I love them... This is French made. This time, the color is metallic red! Wow!
Yeah, you can call me a SICK!
Started in Kimitsu - then Omotesando (Tokyo), to Chiba... man, we both moved place to place... so much distance!

November 29, 2003 =Calm Saturday |
Very calm today. Woke up quite late... it was too comfortable for me to sleep in. Practically, better comfort in bed than outside of it. You know, it was very cold and rainy outside... You know how it would be like. Very wise to spend such for today.
No plans.
Finally out of futon around 1-ish. Took shower and went out... for haircut. Not as short as usual... but I guess, okay. The guy gave me haircut must be new to that place... unfamiliar face, I mean. He was young and seemed not much experienced. His move wasn't smooth as other's. Though, I bet he did work hard on me. Somewhat made me handsome...
Oh forgot to tell that I cannot be more handsome. Hehehe.
Let's talk about some CHANGE recently made. Since no much other things to tell...
It is about my money clip. One of other things representing who Tak is. Yeah, you cannot find easily anyone around using such stuff. Unlike US or other European nations, money clip is very rate to find.
1st picture... on your left, is how I used to clip money. Just fold bills once. Now (on your right) I use like that. For now, I think this way looks smarter. Agreed?
Engraved name "Tak" See that in the center?
You may want to ask me a question... like I don't carry anything else like a wallet?! Sure, I do. I just hold smaller bills clipped and large money (rarely to have some!) in the wallet with logo "LV." (Louis Vuitton)
Today's MoonFlower - spending fun time with her best friend. Don't know where she went to... (surely somewhere in Tokyo).
Long laundry session is now over! Load of two-week clothes was heavy enough!

November 28, 2003 =Black Friday |
Officially Christmas, right! Bought many for (Christmas) presents?! I will do mine too... sooner. Probably once time gets into December.
Today - biggest event of the month! All (almost!) familiar faces got together in Ginza.
Charlie (at up front) L-R Tyson, Yoko, and Kirk!
Everyone is crazy, huh! They are (no doubts!) my BEST FRIENDS... with indefinite relationship! Thanks for coming! Since Tyson came back to the country, I called everyone for a dinner.
No show in picture... Tak's girlfriend MoonFlower came, too! I was so grateful. Those friends almost took advantage of meeting my darling about disclosing my PAST. Man, I should be careful about to whom I introduce her.
Surely, MoonFlower became part of our connection. Great! Welcome to the club, darling!
Who's missing in this party?! Oh, Michael and Tom ("Tom2bwu"). Some day, I will held big one for (literally) all to be together.

November 27, 2003 =Thanksgiving 2003! |
Crazy stuff... you know, sometimes you try something new and the result comes out so bad... awful. You know that kind of experience!!! Well, I witnessed a scene... that I couldn't hold my breath at that moment.
Found coworker Kawano (female) was about to drink called "Amino-Value." Orange-ish color heath drink from Otsuka Pharmaceutical. I hadn't drunk it at all; though I knew the reputation. Means that shouldn't be her choice of drink in the first place. Asked her, "Are you really fond of stuff like that (drink)?" She quite didn't get it instantly. Responded... that she just came to have that new stuff.
Didn't take her too long... to the final decision of her own preference. Definitely NOT. NEVER EVER drink that again... she thought.
DO NOT BUY Otsuka's Amino-Value whatsoever. NOT even drinkable! Serious.
Wait! Thursday, November 27th?! HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! Ready for turkey?! Man, I miss it out this year AGAIN! So does darling sister Robyn. Well at least she comes back to US for Christmas... Good for her.
Oh, should get started about Christmas shopping. Are you ready to spend big bucks?!
Funny stuff to share with you. I've got very urgent goods from Seattle and had to deal with it pretty much for all this morning. Went well and all were under control along with customer's preference. Customer sent me a message about some expectation about cost for delivery. You know, customer has set the LIMIT that I just need to get along... means I can maximize the profit right there?!
Interesting enough. Got it?!

November 26, 2003 =Single Phone Call Made a Difference?! |
8:30 or so... I mean "in the morning" - received single phone call. Wasn't from any customer but Mr. Noda of Hamamatsu Office. Told me that there was a scheduled meeting with our customer at 10am... in different side of Tokyo!
No kidding... indeed! Well, I had to change all my plan for this morning to make it. Yeah, I tried hard. Man, 10 minutes - I was LATE. Though, meeting had begun already... and more people than expected. In fact, I wasn't given much details of that meeting... HOW COME SOME REPRESENTATIVES OF COMPETITOR WERE AT TABLE?!
You know, I missed whole big of piece in the puzzle and I had millions of question marks in my head. You know what I mean. Really I did.
Took me about 2 minutes to get whole picture of a meeting. Man, I should've been informed well before hand. Though, didn't have big of hesitation to speak up once I became clam in such surrounding.
Well, this meeting went well. All discussed and were made clear. Great. Did I speak?! Yep, pretty much... two on my end didn't speak much and I did all for them! Since it was all in English... that's why I was INVITED?! ("forced to come!")
Spaghetti was my lunch. Bought like reward. Hehehe. Sure, I should get something for MY service, right!
Busy after that?! Somewhat.
Next time for any meeting, please call me DAY BEFORE!
Thanksgiving... just ahead!!! Great!

November 25, 2003 =Pay Day and News?! |
25th of month... wow, pay day... Yeah let me emphasize this --- PAY DAY! Dia del Pago! Man, this is the day for all PEONS working to the death!!!
Rain all day long. Didn't want to go out for customers... though, did. While working just like other working day (redundant?), some secret is being disclosed to all staff members. Man, the day has come?! Hehehe. Will share the matter with you shortly. Stay tuned here.
Rain... made my brand new Regal shoes SOAKED! Now intend to dry them out.
1st working day after extended weekend. Man, it was hard enough?! Seemed so to all others. NOT TO ME. It was just normal... somehow. Very steady.
Magazine "President" bought. Interesting in article about "How much do others get paid?!" Those public companies were related from their profiles and average pay. From super duper ultra high to damn low like no one wants to work a bit at all... I will be glued to this for a while... will read all the way from the beginning to final paragraph.
Oh now some money in my bank account... I now have to log in to Internet banking to do some wire transfer... to clear some of my (biggest?) debt!!! Hehehe.
Schedule to see Tyson from Atlanta is now set on Friday... at 7:30pm. In Ginza. If you wish to join me and keep company with all of my friends like Kirk, Charlie, and others... please raise your hand - Oops, don't even try to do... I mean you show your will to me like sending message or so!
Very cold tonight. No heat here. Just put the socks on. That's it.

November 24, 2003 =End of Story |
Matrix. This time called "Revolutions." Closing story and I finally came to see in Chiba. With MoonFlower.
Matrix Revolutions
Have you seen this movie yet?! Well, many of you have, I bet. Anyhow, the last story of entire legend of Matrix was rather comlex for me to understand. Lack of homework... tought to catch up for me this time. There were many questions unable to answer by myself. How come Prophecy had to fight against Neo as Agent Smith. Neo represents machine city and Prophecy was for program?! Hmmmm.
If you're fully aware of whole detail of the story, please contact me for a lesson or two. Please!
Descriptions of any fight scene came with no dissapointment. All were great. I should get all 3 DVD's on retal or something to recap the whole story... just like yourself?! Hehehe. Anyway, in future, I am sure that I will do just what I said.
Matrix Revolutions deserve a B-.

November 23, 2003 =Alain Mikli Paris |
Alain Mikli - is to be added to my collection list. Yeah, in ten days or so... you will see an image or two of the "goods." Man, it was a big stuff to buy for me! French stuff... one of the best found on the earth! Did you know?!
"Anteojos."
MoonFlower and I came to spend time together for 1st time on this weekend. She spent her time with her mother yesterday?! Good for her. I wish I could've done the same for my mother... I will do some other time for sure.
Aoyama - went up that area once again... same from last week. Yeah, Alan was the main reason to make our feet direct that way. Pasta for supper and what did I eat?! Oh, restaurant near my apartment. I forgot... almost. Hahaha. NO arguments with her for today... well-done, right?! Hehehe.
Colder than recent days. Finally I put out my winter jackets from the closet for serious use.
Cannot wait for my new stuff... which is ready due next week or early December.
MoonFlower was busy on her shopping as well... yeah, I wasn't the only one with the list. She did try to complete hers. Shirts and pen case were crossed off from the list. She bought very cute shirts. Black with some design with pink color. I recommended it to her too.

November 22, 2003 =Diet Needed Still? |
No resource to tell for today. No events, either. What to tell - I don't know. Oh I can share this information... just received from the clinic where I got mandatory health examination the other day. Remember?!
Tak NormalHeight 171cm ---Weight 70.7kg 64.3kgBlood Pressure 120/70 100-139/-89Total Cholesterol 172mg/dl 130-219HDL Cholesterol 45mg/dl 40-85Neutral Fat 83mg/dl 30-150Blood Sugar 92mg/dl 70-109
So what do you think of me in the matter of health?! Pretty healthy?! As far as I can keep my blood sugar low... I should be all okay?!
New suits (blown and navy blue) were picked up. Ready to put them on next week!
I should've gone for hair-cut. No exercise at all. No work. Not much Internet, either.

November 21, 2003 =Fuela de Control |
Folks, don't believe anything but just of me! Truly drunk... oh gee. Just all happened and still nothing wrong! Hehehe. Tonight, another festivity... since my old friend in previous work place... Koji Yamada was in town!!!
Remeber this face on right?! Tak Yamada and Koji Yamada. Age 30... both.
Remember, he's married and Tak is NOT YET...In addition, Koji makes more than Tak! (shhhhh)
Anyway, great reunion and it was more than welcome to see him... who was really got down to the earth about work from all experienced. Good for him, my friend!!! We all know that he's been great asset of our entire organization... and surely brings lots of positive impacts. Very proud of my sincere friend like him!
After all, things were out of hand... worse than expected?! I mean, WILD!
L-R> Yamamoto - Rena - Sawairi
This guy - Mr. Hirao - almost stole my brand new shoes!!!
He went out the place, putting my shoes... by mistake (so he insisted!).Man, I almost came to be shoe-less!!! Wow.
L> Yamamoto - Nishigaya's (my ex-Boss) current care-taker?
R> Kazutoshi Suzuki (my ex-Boss, too) in the center... almost "Harry Potter?"
Two "BEAUTIES" in festivity. Toshiko "Boss" Misoo on left
and Rena Saito on right. And ultimately, Ogaki-jin's exclusive!!!
Mr. Akahori sits at a table with WHOOOOO?
Yes, he's married and she is stranger to all of us at that moment. How come?!
Hmmmm, some kind of affair?! If you would like to receive MORE of such scene witnessed, please come forward!!!
What is his wife's email address?!

November 20, 2003 =Welcome Party! |
Too much?! Just came home. Now it is 2:15am... yeah, too late... passed the bed time of good kid like me!!! Hehehe. Tonight, just an exception!
New face Masuyama - we did all for him tonight... up to this late!!! Sure, everything was just for him, right?! Hehehe.
In fact, I wasn't be part of 1st half... when everyone got together for dinner. Like I said previously, I had previous engagement. Ex-boss Nishigaya, Ex-Boss Kazutoshi Suzuki, and Aki Takahashi got together just for me.
Things talked about was from work to private like plans for future, etc. All thee are certainly my most admirable... like raw models. So it was more than (!) certainly great time for me to be with them.
Then, I came out of that 1st half... at 10:30pm. You know, it didn't end right there. I found that all teammates were still in festivity and I caught up with them! Karaoke. 1st time in a very long time.
New Face Masuyama - handsome? (more than Tak?)
L-R> Masuyama (again), "Thumbs-up" Mori, and Big Boss Nakabayashi (drunk)
Surely, I enjoyed myself much... even though showed up later than expected.

November 19, 2003 =How Many Days Left? |
Your Thanksgiving is just around the corner... and Christmas is certainly waiting for its turn right after it. Are ya'll ready?! Sure, you're. Although, I am not. Am not quite ready to end this year YET. Too many to do on the list for sure... how come?! You'll see. Anyhow, there are only 40-some days left...
Have you accomplished anything planned at the beginning of the year?! For instance, your new year's resolution. Any to recall?
Police searched Michael Jackson's premise?! Man, hasn't Michael learned the all lessons from the past?! Probably not.
My work went okay... all customers were clam and quiet. Good.... better than good - GREAT! Although, this doesn't mean at all that I was bored and stayed at my desk for nothing. You know, there are always things to do... from quotations to replying requests overseas. Didn't see any ridiculous message from any counterpart outside Japan and any customer. WAO!
New face Masuyama will show up to this page TOMORROW. Please count on it. Well, we will throw welcome party tomorrow night and he is the only guest of honor. You know, I do have some previous engagement and I may have to miss it completely. I have to see someone didn't have any other spare time but tomorrow for me.
Surely, I will depend on some colleague to take my camera for some shots. Hehehe. Yeah, I never give up.
Japan's soccer tonight... tied with national selection of Cameroons. Must be good result, right?! While, Japan baseball... draft conference was held. Not interested... much. 3 high school players were selected... from Gifu Prefecture.

November 18, 2003 =Crowded Day? |
No hang over?! Surely not. Hey, I just drank... never be drunk!!! Anyway, my Tuesday was pretty normal... lots of up's and down's like complaint from customers and internal meetings, etc. Some official document was also prepared in my hand writing.
Well, I can tell that it was just a crowded day!
Wow, big news... just came in. MoonFlower's weekend plan is now completely canceled. Wow, what happened?! She was supposed to go on trip with her best friend. Hope nothing bad happened to this last-minute cancellation.
I had some upset customer over my cellular phone in this morning. He was so upset about what was happening in US... he wanted to have his goods as soon as possible and flight schedule over all wasn't along with his preference at all.
Man, took me more than 10 minutes to explain all from A to Z. I was almost gone nuts! Just almost. Yeah, I can say that almost running out of my patience. Though, I stuck with who I should be. Then, I sent an Email message with all in details for the recap. Just letting customer know that we did all we could.
By return, I received a message with tone of some peace in it. A little bit of relief then. Though, this isn't the end of story yet. Still things in progress and I have to assure that we do all we can for now.
Another thing. "Tienes planes para el fin de semana?" - somehow I received such message from customer. Wow.
Well, don't know for sure what to do this (extended) weekend yet. Well, MoonFlower should have free time then?! Will see. How come extended one?! Not because of Thanksgiving, man!
Friend Tyson is about to be back in Japan on vacation!

November 17, 2003 =Ito's Children |
Hi, folks... had a good day?! Wish so. Mine?! Well, relatively FLAT - I mean not much trouble for me. Better say PRETTY GOOD? Hmmm.
Big baseball news?! Kazuo "Little" Matsui of Seibu Lions today declared his intention to go cross the ocean... to Major League from next season. Man, he is too?! GOOD for him!
Event of the day... some gathering took place from 7pm. I can call all as "Ito's Children." Yeah, Ito is referred to Boss Ito and... there were three in such gathering.
Takashi Kiguchi
Hiroshi Kuboki
Tak Yamada (myself)Yeah, all three men were together under Ito's supervision one time in the past. All worked side by side. All sat together. All great memories and now we all separated in to different positions. Though, fun gathering.
Too much drink?!
Oh, phoned to Kirk... hadn't talked to him for quite long time... he sounded so fine... in the middle of time having fun today?! Well, everyone else was working then. How come?! He was on the beach?!
Anyway, nice to talk to you, my friend!
Man, too drunk?

November 16, 2003 =100 Yen Shop |
People call it "100 Yen Shop" - just like your "Dollar Tree" shop. Man, it was fun... shopping around. What needed?! Well, I wanted to buy some boxes and cases... to organize my (messy) apartment room.
Spent about 5 or 600 yen... bought 2 CD jewelry boxes for all computer software stuff and some other miscellaneous. Good shopping... better than yesterday!? Hahaha.
Also spent hours in bookstore. Didn't buy any... but plenty of time to skim through many books and magazines! Hehehe... yeah, almost equal to stealing, huh. Nope, surely not taking any digital copies with camera!!!
Oh too bad... didn't expect to. Japan's marathon superstar Naoko Takahashi didn't finish at first place on Tokyo International Marathon today. Man, we all wanted her to win. Well, she was in lead up to 30km... last 12km, she dramatically slowed down, letting some African lady pass her to win the race. Gee, she missed a ticket to Olympic Games 2004 in Athens. Well, two more races for official selection... she may run again to grab the ticket...

November 15, 2003 =Aoyama |
Aoyama Tokyo - Today's destination with MoonFlower... in purpose of her shopping to complete. Shoes and what else on her list?! Too many to tell?! Hahaha.
Shoes - bought!
Organizer with leather cover - bought!and
Pen case (for her new fountain pen) - checked out! (good one found)
So her shopping time was done with pretty good result... better than expected. Am sure that she was very (too much?) satisfied with all efforts made throughout walking through entire shopping district of Aoyama, Tokyo (i.e. Omotesando).
How about me?! Well, spent too much (?) on shoes yesterday, no more! Though, some really interested me... maybe next purchase?!
Business card case... I found good leather... that can be customized and personalized for about 100 bucks.
One more stuff... Under my (current) possession, I can name:
- Yomod (weekend)
- Pentax (driving)
- Fendi (work)
- Hoya AirList (sport/work/weekend)
You know what kind of name they are?! Well, next possible(!) addition to above:
- Chikara (work)
- alain mikli (work/weekend)
If you can tell what kind of (fashion) item I am telling about, you must really know me well!

November 14, 2003 =REGALLY? |
Day Off. Yeah, it was really. How come?! Well, because I've got plenty of paid days off and I wanted to spend some... yeah not big deal. Don't have much businesses I have to care, either. Oops!
What did I do?! Taking NAP all day long. Yeah, just as necessary. Oh besides, I bought them:
"Regal" shoes
Very rare to buy more than one pair at a time for me... probably never done before in my entire life... I bet. Although, sort like emergency. Remember that I easily worn shoes out and did?! Currently there were two pairs with holes in the bottom (hehehe). Mean, I cannot put them on when raining outside (regardless to the weather?).
Regal shoes are usually at high price. Yeah there were. Too much on me. Though, didn't have alternative at this point. Wanted to have good shoes like them. A little luxury to my fashion life.
Now, FOUR pairs are in good (great?) shape and to be part of my business life. One more to complete weekdays?! You know, I should buy one more at cheap price for bad condition like for rainy days. Good idea, right?!

November 13, 2003 =Upset Me That Much? |
Hey, sometimes --- people should be careful when to tell TRUTH to others... right?! I am sure that everyone has more than enough experience about telling true... but just timing wasn't right and ended up to make that person feel bad or guilty... or even upset.
Today's event wasn't about work-related. It was mandatory health check at appointed clinic. This was by law... every year we must do. From 1:30pm, took me about nearly 2 hours... to complete all listed on to-do.
From blood-testing to lectrocardiogram, thing went okay and smooth. Height is 5.6 feet and weight is 155.9lbs. Not high... but still not MUCH!!! Hehehe.
At last, came to a doctor to see... soon as I raised my shirts... he instantly said, "Need your exercise, young man." Oh boy, he came straight out! Didn't he know to be nice to some (new) comer like me?
I informed him of some recent condition of myself... and he replied, "Because you need such work-out." Man, same say, right?! And he added that my body isn't that capable to take much alcohol... means I should be careful about how much to take. Way LESS than an average person.
Shocking.
So there were two things that I leaned from doctor's visit today. Exercise is important and I shouldn't DRINK much. Mean, I cannot have lazy life anymore... NO MORE LAYing BACK!!!
Or... another thought... QUACK? (hope not) Hahaha. So funny... so stupid?
Oh, another funny stuff. Nurse asked me if okay after scaling my height and weight. I asked back to that lady,
"What if I said no. --- Could I tell what should be?!"
That nurse laughed at me HARD! So hard. She said then that she can do same one more time and that was what she originally meant.
Yeah, I was the one so stupid, huh.

November 12, 2003 =?Mejor? |
Better?! Do I feel better than yesterday?! At least somewhat... yes. Feel better and I can tell that I should be fine soon. Did you care?! Probably not... You care more about whether you can see something new HERE or not... correct?! Got you, didn't I?!
Two appointments. Delivered my invoices to a client in this morning and spent time over lunch with client A. Lady N in company A has submitted her resignation and her last day is this Friday. I went up to her office to see her as last time.
I have been with her on business for 2 years. She's been good kind of customer... even though the contribution (my sales on this account) wasn't that high at all. Hehehe. You know, good business doesn't meet much about meeting nice people. Sometimes, it's completely opposite. You know, business (or money?) drives people crazy... Don't you agree?
Lunch with this client was very fruitful and fun! Talk to her was very smooth and I learned something from her at that table, too.
In conversation, she indicated that my say in the past, "People should stay how they are and who they are... no matter what... shouldn't be changed, controlled, or driven by the position of work, amount of earning, atmosphere of work place, etc." really made her think and came to such (quitting) decision. Wao! Didn't think that much (serious? meaningful?).
Anyway, I really wish her luck. She should stay in touch with someone like me! Hehehe.
In the whole afternoon, Boss Ito and I had LONG (truly long) meeting with Koji Noda from Hamamatsu Office. Yeah, ENTIRE afternoon for single issue. Very serious one. Have we come to solve the problem?! Yes, finally. Finished such meeting at almost 6pm.
Charlie's Angels Full Throttle DVD is on sale from 12th?! Wait... it's already out, huh! From TODAY! Man, I should go out to shop!
Another earthquake at 5:30pm. Did you feel it?
Dinner... Japanese style. 758 yen.

November 11, 2003 =Sick Leave, Finally? |
Got up in the morning and felt so heavy... my body was so sore. Medication?! Must be from a cold! Just a snap to figure out that I wouldn't be able to work right away. So I called in the office to let a coworker know that I would take a sick leave for not a day but just this morning. Smart decision?! How come not whole day?!
I knew I could. In addition, I didn't have particular appointments taken yet. So perfect condition to do such "mission" (i.e. missing whole working day).
Although, I didn't even though I could have. Why? Well, I just don't want to be truly sick person being home alone! Hahaha.
You know, I wasn't only one suffering from the illness. Sakae Tanaka endlessly coughing all day long and sounds terrible! Boss Ito was another good example. Finally, he decided to take a half day off from the afternoon. See, playing golf last Sunday affected to such work force! Everyone got cold... except Big Boss Nakabayashi who played then with half-sleeve shirts. Crazy or what?
Bought a new umbrella... cost 2,000 yen. Yeah, old one was bent by hard blowing wind today. Gee, unexpected expense... this kind of stuff really hurts my budget for sure. AND IT DID!
New face Masuyama started to answer many incoming calls from today. Is he used to say name of our company yet?! Hehehe. Good for him.
Lunch: beef rice bowl at Matsuya. 380 yen.
Supper: some rice and vegetable. 824 yen.I've got two appointments tomorrow morning and lunch is to spend with customer. For entire afternoon, big internal meeting is scheduled. That means ZERO possibility to take sick leave?! Indeed so.
Tetsuji Fukui and Yasuko Ishiyama... both were taking a day off today. Must be nice!

November 10, 2003 =Caught a Cold |
1.
2.
3.
Shot pictures from yesterday.
1. Ino (VP) 2. Nakabayashi (my Big Boss) 3. Saeda (Mgr)115... yeah, damn 115... poor-Tak 115! Got to be a nightmare! Well, indeed true. This bad result brings additional (bad) stuff to make whole worse! Gee, I must have caught a cold! Feel sick!
Did think about taking a sick leave for this afternoon... but didn't. Would better say, "couldn't." Have more than several appointments and there was an important one in the afternoon for unpleased customer. Had to suck some mean words in from customer's mouth. What a day.
Rainy pretty much all day long and COLD! It was only about 13C degree... like 55F degree. Yeah, this makes my feeling worse.
Came back in the office and I finished all needed to be done today. Left work around 7-ish. Yeah, wanted to come home for rest. I need a sleep! Good one, I mean.
Golf page is updated. Yeah, 115! Man, I have done 5 rounds for a year! Man, I spent much money on such luxury sport.

November 9, 2003 =USFS Golf 2003 (2nd Half) |
2nd annual golf tournament held today... like I said before. Man, I have to close this update shortly because I feel sick... must be a cold. In 2nd half of the round, I had headache, consistently. Now taking medication.
Sakae Tanaka didn't hit his ball straight?! His head is up!
I finished at DEAD LAST (among 11 contestants). Headache affected to such result?! Hey, don't want to excuse myself much. I certainly did my best and score didn't come along with such wish (to make a good record). 115. Too many, huh.
Tomorrow on, will bring more details from today's event. Good night.

November 8, 2003 =New Ramen Place? |
Saturday... mild weather! Day before voting day for general election 2003. Have you decided whom you're going to vote for tomorrow?! You should do so by now... time is clicking and no much time left.
9:30am - get-up
10:30am - in Urayasu Station
10:50am - Nshifunabashi Station
11:08am - MoonFlower show-upAfter this, we went to Shinjuku. For what?! SHOPPING (once again). For her, looking for new pair of shoes is very crucial at this moment since all others were worn out(?) and she has to go out barefooted otherwise!!!
Checked all out in Isetan and Takashimaya (both department stores). Out of luck once again?! She found some pairs... almost bought. Though, not perfectly fitting somewhat. So had to undo the decision. Hmmm. No buy.
Nothing for Tak?! Nope. Didn't plan to buy any at the first place.
Dinner in Eikichi's Noodle Bar:
L> Special Noodles (850 yen) , R> Teriyaki Bowl (400 yen)
Tomorrow, out for golf!

November 7, 2003 =Gotemba, Shizuoka |
Busy for sure... yeah, we were. Biz trip to Gotemba for single meeting... still yet, important. Tetsuji Fukui was the main personality to deal with the case and I was merely his assistant. Truly.
Quotations and explanation which were prepared yesterday were given to prospective customer and I believe that delivery with my talk in order to make customer feel confident to appoint us to serve soon. Well, I can tell that Tetsuji initiated the meeting... yeah, he started it off and seemed to take initiative... and certainly, he made a good closing. In body part, I talked a lot... as usual?!
Anyway, result isn't out yet at this point... though, I think we can be optimistic. New biz should be starting early NEXT year. Big deal?! Sure, I can tell so.
Let's make it early.

November 6, 2003 =Biz Trip Scheduled? |
Late... came home later than usual. Oh boy, I come to lack of sleep for tonight ONCE AGAIN. Your fault! You make me keep my diary up on the Web! Your fault. Be nice to me, will ya! Hahaha, just kidding.
I wanted to make all for domestic needs today... quotes to prepare, report to write, bid package to read, what else... plenty of stuff to do! (I mean besides visiting customers) But my plan became just a plan that didn't come to a reality at all. All planning in vain... truly. Yasuko Ishiyama asked me to help on visit to new customer who had been acquired by the company who was my customer. Yeah long story.
At the same time, I received a message from customer that it demanded my visit for explanation (in addition to my report via email).
Man, things were out of my hand... suddenly I became busy and swamped with unexpected issues. See, this should be call vicious circle... which is very typical in my current working style. Correct?!
Oh tomorrow is scheduled biz trip to Gotenba, Shizuoka. With Tetsuji Fukui (once again). Same place that we both went on 9/25. Tough mission to complete?! Well, will see how all go for tomorrow. I can tell that a prospective customer has been quite knowledge-hungry about international trades.
Man, tomorrow I should expect to give some lesson to a kid?
Reserved seats for two of us on train departing 9:06am from Tokyo Station. Yeah, became wiser this time... got tickets in advance... Friday (tomorrow) trains should be very crowded for sure! Early morning?! A little bit.
Power bill is here. 1,592 yen for October, consuming 50kWh. Down about 400 yen from previous month. Pretty good management?! Man, 1,592 yen for single month... LOWEST in this year! Well done!
Recently, new "experiment" took place and now in operation. Between MoonFlower and I myself, we don't use telephone to talk much anymore. How come?! We both installed "iChat AV" and take advantage of its voice chat. Better quality than the one in cellular phones. Yeah, if you have Mac or PowerBook, this is a must to have for any communications with same kind of computers.
For tonight, I was supposed to see someone... at last minute, it was all canceled. Man, missed FREE FOOD. Well, thing should be rescheduled... at least I hope so.

November 5, 2003 =Auto Reserved |
Good job, folks! Time for bed already?! Not so quick for me! It's past midnight and kind (truly?) late... but I have people to chat online and received more than several messages to respond.
Man, sounds like I am still at work. Yeah, different subjects and contents... about reading and writing... precisely same on day and at night! What an interesting life I have, folks! No sympathy?!
Had 4 appointments... all went okay. No new biz to bring back to work. It doesn't matter, does it?! Well what happened besides appointments were that Boss Ito found that I didn't submit my sales report which was due YESTERDAY.
Gee, made a (small still?) boo-boo here. Well in fact, Yasuko Ishiyama didn't do hers either. Well, Boss called her and asked why not. Well, I knew he would come to do the same... Well, he walked over... to warn me. Gee! Scary!
At night... left work early for some (private) appointment. I went down to see my brother whom I hadn't seen since January. Yeah, two of us live in Tokyo area... don't call or talk to each other at all... Though, it was exception tonight. Not only between us... two more guys at the table for dinner.
Korean BBQ it was. Man, I am quite stuffed. Full and being gained so much! Man, my scale is out of batteries... I should go out to buy some to make this work... in order to watch how much I weigh at this point.
Oh, it was free for me. With brother, I have never ever paid even a penny about foods or drinks. Good stuff?! Sure. But I always do whatever he tells me... yeah, I've got very demanding brother and I do deserve such REWARD!
Didn't have good night sleep last night. Night before, too. Hmmmm. Will see how it goes tonight. Good night.

November 4, 2003 =Virus Everywhere |
You must have received email message with attachment contains computer virus... right?! Today (actually over weekend) received dozens of same message whose subject was as "our private photos."
Body message shows as:
Hello Dear!,
Finally i've found possibility to right u, my lovely girl :)
All our photos which i've made at the beach (even when u're without ur bh:))
photos are great! This evening i'll come and we'll make the best SEX :)
Right now enjoy the photos.
Kiss, JamesOf course, I wanted to open such attachment... to see dirty photos! Hehehe. I know, am quite bad... as you may know (also). If you were careful enough about reading this message... some stuff would NEVER attract me toward opening the attachment.
1st - this email message was from guy named James. GUY... not like Jamie or other feminine names at all. Sender, Tak Yamada is a MAN never likes other man... but just women!
2nd - OUR private photos?! WRONG! Don't take pictures with guy like you, SENDER! (James?)
3rd - Kiss?! Hell no!
Today's Tak at work... 2 new faces joined out company and both were men! Hey, NO MORE ugly faces like men (besides Boss Ito and me!)... BRING SOME NICE LEGS to the work place! Yeah, I want to smell things with perfume... NOT LIKE sweaty kind of smell from other oily guys around!
Hahaha, I sound pretty bad, huh.
Mr. Masuyama is going to be part of our department from tomorrow... and you will see his face sooner or later in here. Aged 30... single? (not confirmed yet) He was in training session for whole day and will start actual work with us tomorrow. Not much experienced in this particular industry... so it might be tough on him?! Will see.
I was busy... did more than several quotes for new customers... made several appointments for tomorrow on. Plus single appointment. Oh, received ugly message in email about insufficient service too. Yeah, both bright and dark side of businesses... right?! Yeah, pretty fair.
Did talk to my brother over the phone... for 10 minutes or so. I gave him my up-to-date and he was quite surprised with it. Anyway, he sounded a little sickened... must have been really tired from his work... that he woks alone. Hope he would be okay soon. Wait, he just came back from China... SARS?! Hmmm. Better not.
Tomorrow, will be another busy day... full of schedule already.
My October sales figure is now out... OUCH!
Movie "Matrix Revolutions" - out tomorrow, right?! Nope, don't plan to skip work for this movie. Will see when having spare time, okay?!

November 3, 2003 =Did You Do? |
National Holiday called Culture Day... high percentage for fine day... it was not. A little smoggy in the morning and rain for rest of the day. Did I go out?! Well, it was resting for me after 2 days of weekend.
Did you want and participate the "Test the Nation" on TV?! - Yeah I did! Men defeated Women! Good for us! Hehehe.
You want to see results more than what the questions were... right?! Ha, gotta ya!
Party / Category IQ Men 106 Female 102 Single 104 people in Gifu Prefecture 103 Blood Type: B 104 (Baseball) Dragons Fans 106 Taurus 104 Medical Doctors (in show) 111 Tokyo Univ. Students (ditto) 121and...
Tak 112 MoonFlower 114Have I done poorly?! NOT SO FAST. I can say, at least "above average!" I have beaten the doctors in general by one (just one). Yeah, Tokyo University Students were smart for sure.
All other categories, besides "women," are fitting in to myself... from being single to born as Taurus. Not bad at all, huh! But for sure thing... I can be (still yet) smarter than this. Made several boo-boos on easy ones.
Oh, please tell me that I've done a good job!
Although wait... How come MoonFlower did better?! Smarter?! Hmmm.

November 2, 2003 =Scarce Luck? |
Most definitely! (about it was scarce luck for today) For me?! Nope, it was so for MoonFlower. Feel guilty on that toward her, too. What happened?! Well, she desperately looked for stuff she wanted like shoe, pen case, and some other particular items... she got none for today! Spent more than she could... and no good results.
Yeah, just a matter of luck.
at cafe called "Sadeu"... sweets, cold drink (MoonFlower) and hot Japanese tea (myself)
How much would you pay for all in total?!
A. 10 dollars top
B. 15 dollars
C. 20 dollarsMan, the right answer is C... we paid about 20 bucks... yeah, I could buy a big piece of "FDA certified" beef steak! (like in Outback Steak House, etc.) I promise that I won't go back to such place that easy... Sometimes (always?) going out with loved ones cost too much money like more than can.
Place was wrong too... It was Ginza. Very expensive (still yet fashionable) place.
While MoonFlower looked for shoes, etc... I wanted new pair of glasses... didn't succeed at all. More than several places were checked out... no luck for me. Oh... one more thing. I bought suits... failed yesterday and did well today! Spent about 500 bucks. Hmmmm, too much you think? I think so!

November 1, 2003 =Sale, Sale, and still Sale! |
Crowded, huh! Really! Indeed! Full of people... bet more than 1000 people there on single floor! Looking for one another from Polo brand... yeah, by Ralph Lauren- Thanks to colleague Ishiyama, MoonFlower and I got a chance to come to this special sales event!
Your question may be about how much she and I spent?! Well.
We went in around 11:30 - the place opened at 10am... were late! Came out around 4pm. Oh boy, were we serious about staying in that place for just look? Better NOT.
Well, didn't come to buy single stuff. You know what?! I grabbed very smart-looking suits for work... and tried them on. You know, I looked perfect in mirror! Loved them - just a snap! Planned to buy and called a fitter to check the length and fitting condition.
DIDN'T LIKE THAT FITTER at all and this made this as whole new ball game.
Quit. Quit buying and decided not to take a look at suits anymore. Just didn't want to come to the fitting room because that fitter was only there for customers and his attitude was horrible.
He wasn't eager to help at all. Asked him to check things out and he didn't respond in favorable tone at all. Rather, he was forced to do... he seemed that way so much. So I came to drop that suits (worth 700 bucks!).
On the other hand, MoonFlower enjoyed her moment in such crowded warehouse. She bought more than several things and some (still small for her?) cash went out of her pocket book after all. More than several hundred dollars.
1st day of month... Movie Day! Good deal is always there... for all! Usual admission is set at 1800 yen and today, it was only 1000 yen. Yeah, you don't want to miss such day, right?! I didn't either.
"Kill Bill Volume 1"
Everyone would say, Director Quentin Tarantino loves Japan to the death. Though, his picture showed too much about how we were... with different aspects (would say, "understanding."). Picture shows so many unusual things like we still fight in swords... we DO NOT.
Name "Hattori Hanzo" - guy in Okinawa made great sword killing anyone... That name did exist in history of Japan... but he was spy called Ninja... not sword maker or merely blacksmith. How come he (Tarantino) came up with this name?!
I just rated this move to B. Well, cannot comment any further without seeing the second half of movie. Next movie will end the story, right?!
Have you seen it?! Did you like it much?!
