Tak's Milestone: February, 2004

February 29, 2004 =Finally, Month Ends

Leap year... leap day, huh! So Olympic year... (in Athens). What else different?! Oh, I've got a new job... correct?! Yeah, I live in new place, as well.

No plans for today. Got up around 9:30am and sort bored. True! Went out around 2pm and stopped by so many places. Some errands and some others for nothing. Hahaha.

Went to Sagamihara Public Library. Went through so many books and magazines... I was in there for hour and a half or so. Read Time Magazine and some international newspaper. Called "International Press." Never hard or seen it before. Though, I spent quite time in reading Spanish articles. All were interesting to me. I bet that I would check it out every time I drop by that public service place.

Magazines and newspapers, I also picked several business-related books about SCM (Supply Chain Management), Financial Planner, Cost Calculation and its Concept, etc. In fact, didn't want to stay in for too long since that place was PACKED! Everyone didn't go to bookstores to buy, but to library to read or skim through books in shelves. Smart?! Well, it's just because of recession... people have less money to be able to spend!

You know, I am the stereotype for that... always broke!

While reading such books, started feeling myself suger-wanted... so doughnuts place was next for my usual coffee break. Hahaha. Sounds like a girl spending her time?! Hehehe. Hey, I am straight into diabetes!!! I know, I was born from such family root! (true)

SUGAR / SUGAR / SUGAR!!! Any complaints?

For your information, my weight as of this morning, 68.8kgs. It was 72.0 at the beginning of the year.

After all errands, etc., came home and checked so many different personal web pages. Unlike mine (i.e. here), so much (valuable?) information were out there!!! Particularly, I sought investors' diary and results posted on the Internet. You know what?! I found very interesting fact. Those who really don't mind to disclose of their trade results in such open world (i.e. Internet) indeed do make little money! In fact, so many (almost all!) were losing (much) money!!!

How come?! Are those data fake?! I bookmarked several sights for my future reference and see how things will turn out for those webmasters.

Ready for going back to work? Am not. Never! Hehehe.

February 28, 2004 =Not Month-End Yet?

Okay, bowling session. Took a train after the one I intended to catch... So my way up to Shinagawa was behind schedule and started worrying about being late to get together with friends. Time to gather has been set for 3pm.

Man, just on time... I made it.

New face from previous work. Hokuto Nojiri - first met this gentleman.

Hokuto Nojiri, 25, single and still (!) available in bachelor market.

Very handsome, isn't he?!

There are, certainly, girls in this party. Kazumi, Reiko, Kazuki, Toshiko... at this point, I have to say that I am not at liberty to share their scores with you. You know, women... difficult to handle something... even bowling scores!!! Hehehe.

Ladies, if you read this and okay for me to show everything... please send me an email message with your consent!

Surely, went out for eat and two more (girls) joined us then! Junko and Miyuki. See above! Group of 9!!! (hey, I am taking that picture there) Too much talk for me... I was very energetic and talked and kept talking... Someone got to stop me then!!! Hahaha.

Men shouldn't be talkative?! Let's make an exception just for tonight, shall we?

February 27, 2004 =Late Show?

Happy Friday... my weekend didn't come that easy. Had to work on until 8pm or so... while doing OT, coworkers and I raised a talk about going to dine after work. Dining surely means foods coming with DRINKS.

Too bad that Tommy couldn't make his mind up to join us... being under threat of his girlfriend who was home (living together) and fixing foods for this man.

Ended up for three of us to drop by nearest restaurant from the work for dinner. Beer?! Of course. We talked on and on... didn't realize that we did prolong the time of joy. Man, when we come to know of time, it was already past midnight!!! With full of great talk, it was very encouraging for me toward work and future... certainly fruitful!

Only the problem was... that I walked back home and went to bed very late... Latest for very long time... Practically went to bed at 2:30am.

10:35+2

February 26, 2004 =Ready for Weekend?

Went to bed, last night, around 1:30am... no wonder that I was darn so sleepy all day long. Specially when I got up about 20 minutes earlier than usual. What's happening here to myself?! Hmmm. Am I even more eager to work?! I doubt it... I know, I always seek the way to be practical... working as much as getting paid. No more!

new brief case for Tak?!

By brand called "Felisi" from Italy. Don't know of the availability in US...

By whose influence to coming to know such?! I hadn't known of this bag series up to some point in the past. Now I know and wanting one from the Series. Expensive?! You bet your life!

This was English version EXCLUSIVE. No show in Japanese end.

Anyway, how do you like that?! The color?! Normally, (normal) people choose like black, brown, dark blue, etc. For me?! I think that clear sky, like above, is really cool. What would you think of this bag?! With new bag to new work place... not bad idea at all?

Hiroki Arahata in previous work called me up to confirm of my "show" to Saturday bowling session. Yeah, sure! Already scheduled "after-bowling" drinking spree, too. Haven't got any drink for a while... since when?

One hour in OT today. 3 hours in this month (so far).

February 25, 2004 =Fully Paid

Pay Day. So some money withdrawn already!

In talking to coworker Tommy who had spent his time in L.A for several years, one thing really hit me and sticks to my head even now. KrispyKreme. Yeah, famous doughnuts store that really made me fat long time ago was it.

Do miss such clumps of sugar!!! Hahaha.

A little cold tonight... so AC turned on. Hmmm, making bigger number in power bill. Still doing so as of now. I should turn it off and hit my sack!!! (now it's 0:15 - truly midnight.)

Friend ChanKen has already planned to go to Hokkaido - northern Japan in April... oh boy, already deadline for discounted tickets on air travel as well as for hotel reservation? Man, he was smart... I should have been that way to make (reasonable) trips possible.

Not bother much about becoming even smarter, right?! Yeah, you should agree here with me!

Running out of my time for today. Tired and late, already. Oh, I have more than several email messages from friends and readers... I am, I know, supposed to reply... I promise that I will do so soon! Those who wait for my reply, my apology!

While computing of this, "There's Something about Mary" is on my TV. Have you seen this movie and laughed hard?! I know, my type of movie... funny / crazy / funny (i.e. stupid funny).

Weight is another issue for me now. Started gaining a little... didn't think to, just happening to. I know, I have snacks at night after supper... this really makes a difference. I know, will watch out.

0:37+1

February 24, 2004 =Fun at Work?

A day before pay day, finally. Well, I should say, "it's about time!" Hahaha.

At work, not only Tommy... but also Hirahara (male) and Matsubara (ditto) kept me company... full of fun talk... Called chitchat? Yeah... surely hands were working, simultaneously!!! So please note that I certainly did enjoyed myself with those coworkers all day long on chatting... but at the same time, did all assigned for the day!

That's good enough, right? Hahaha.

Somehow from last night, my book about "Adobe GoLive: Master Book" is off the shelf. Intending to learn more... all functions in depth. Feel like would like to be eager to make this personal web page more interesting to all of you... another ( upper) level of entertaining. You know what I mean? At this point, just see what I can do... spicing up.

Pay day, tomorrow. Fully paid! Some from OT, too. Then I have to come to a calculation how I can live up with what I get paid... with comparison to how it all was before (under previous employment). Hope makes GREAT change in it.

Nikkei average marked biggest fall in the year. Wow... more than 200 points down... Big loss huh?! Have you survived?! Surely they did (7520 + 7992). How about NF? at 1,494 (+6) - seemed to have made a way to go... great upswing!

23:15

February 23, 2004 =Mucho Separaciones?!

Sorting... all day long. Taking care of some problem occurred this morning. That took me to work on pretty much all day long. Good stuff?! Well, it was easy and simple... sorting. No brain needed. Easy training session for me.

In fact, I had some new activity right after lunch. Part of training, I went out with Mr. Sato for checking at customer's sight. Drove about 40 minutes for the destination. Working at that sight was not that long... 30 minutes longest. So at least I enjoyed sunny weather while in car on the way and back.

Wow, received a bill from VISA. JPY62,178.- ... approx. 600 dollars. My God! What did I spend for? Dinner... Yahoo! Auction, Yodobashi Camera... and part of my (last) Christmas shopping. Hmmm.

Well, good news is that next pay day is in a few days. Anyhow, sure thing that I have to watch out MORE about what to spend and how much to spend. Cannot be much more broke than currently am!!!

Tommy made some remark... "Pay day in two days?! Man, than I can go to Korean BBQ soon." Obviously, his Engel's coefficient must be really high... didn't know he was such heavy eater... He is chubby.

This weekend... some event is now scheduled and I have been booked?! Bowling and drinking?! Wow, big party to be thrown?! What's the occasion? Anyway, received an invitation from some friend and I will certainly show (up).

Nikkei (Stock Market) made upward result today. So my calculation should be immediately upward adjustment?! Hahaha. Not so fast. Up: 7250 and 7922. Down: none. Pretty good stuff, huh?

According to his personal website, like mine here, Friend ChanKen scored 860 in his recent TOEIC test (i.e. Test of English for International Communication). Great job, man! His score is ranked within the top 5% ratio. Man, don't think I can do that good job... Should I try it out?! Maybe --- some day.

Anyhow, congratulations, my friend!

22:30

February 22, 2004 =Laying Back

Hi folks... just a day that I was laying back pretty much all day long. For nothing but just relaxing... even took a nap... great for me! Didn't watch much TV, either. Nice weather out there... until early evening. After that, turned out to be a little mess, very windy and light rain. Hmmm, very messy.

What shall I share with you then for this update. Well, I have to admit that I am clueless. Oh, I can put up a picture of this:

This "Kinchan Noodle" isn't available in Tokyo area.

It was my lunch! Cup noodle. Brought back from Ogaki since no availability here. Too bad.... this is VERY tasty. Trust me on this one. It was great!!!

Too much coffee... too much caffeine for me. I may have tough night to sleep?! In addition to a great nap this afternoon, I have some medicamental help like that? Hahaha.

23:56

February 21, 2004 =LOTR3

LOTR(3) today. Show time at 12:15pm... earliest in the afternoon, still ended at 3:55pm. Yeah, spent entire (still almost?) afternoon of my "precious" Saturday!!!

http://www.lordoftherings.net/

Well, I am sure that you will come to see this movie - if in case you haven't seen this movie yet. So I don't have to tell you much... do I? Long enough... yet interesting enough. Origin of entire fantasy stories of all kinds... certainly good piece of work.

Tak's rating over "Lord of the Rings - The Return of the King": (solid) A

Don't miss it.

February 20, 2004 =Another Bad News?!

Man, just in... bad news I am talking about.

Received a message from ChanKen in Ogaki - my (and his) hometown. His say was of Tamakoshi. Tamakoshi was shopping center... in Aichi and Gifu area. In fact, Takakoshi's largest branch is located within Ogaki. Today, this corporation announced that it had filed Chapter 11. Boy, this is certainly shocking.

Don't recall that I had shared with you about Jusco - one of largest shopping center corporations in Japan has decided to close its location in Ogaki... located in front of where I used to live.

Overall, Ogaki is coming to lose many shopping sites like this... Jusco and Tamakoshi were in my school district and they were part of my life in old days!!! Certainly, things have changed... turning out to be like this. Bad local economy.

Tamakoshi has been suffered from bad loans over years. At this point (even with limited resource available), several companies indicated their interest in supporting Tamakoshi to rebuild its business structure. Well, hopefully this will come to a reality soonest possible so that Ogaki citizens won't see much obvious symbol of bad business cycle around.

Ramen Noodle Museum - in Shin Yokohama. Yeah, I showed up there, suddenly. First visit to that place in my entire life. Did I like that place?! Sure. Bad thing - only bad thing found there was the fact I didn't bring my digital camera with me!!! My fault.

February 19, 2004 =Usual Thing?

Laundry, cleaning the apartment room, ... all these were always over weekend in previous life style. Now they are all scheduled on Thursdays... interesting enough, huh. I know, this won't last... just until when I have to be in real business world after training session.

Fine day... no one should've worked... rather, go outside and appreciate sunshine... we all wish!!!

One news to share with you. A friend (still I haven't seen for very long time like more than 2 years?) - Manabu Okawa recently became a father of boy!!! Congratulations! I suddenly received a message in email from him and saw such wonderful news from one of old time friends like this. Great!!!

I first met him very long time ago in US... Yeah, he was a student among others trying to learn English and went to Brevard (college) after my graduation. I only met him several times after my come-back to Japan in year 2000. That was it... I knew that he got married some time ago... Anyhow, it is always great to hear from any kind of friends. Agree?

Manabu is same age as myself. He is now father and bears the whole brunt of a family for his life (right to say this?) and Tak is still peon and crazy (and yet, single)?! I mean, Manabu does all to provide supports for a family... and I have nothing for life? Where does this kind of difference come from?! Hahaha.

Once again - Congratulations, Manabu!!!

Not coffee tonight... but jasmine tea.

Lots of criticisms for last night soccer... many experts warned over the media that Team Japan won't be part of very next WorldCup if continued such performance from here on. Well, don't know what to expect... will see.

No "conversation" was made. Boss Okada was out for meeting and scheduled no return for the day. Hehehe.

What are these? I inspected; I was never told what these were used for.

23:11

February 18, 2004 =Another Conversation

Oh gee... finally. Japan just edged Oman in Saitama Arena this evening. First step toward WorldCup in Germany. Oman was tonight's underdog... in the accordance of FIFA World Ranking (Japan at 28, Oman at 66).

Am talking about soccer... so-called "football" in Europe.

Despite of all favorable expectations for Team Japan, spent entire 90 minutes for scoreless. Man, everyone just began to think about rough road to the Germany after this. Nevertheless, our Japan didn't give in or give up until the moment with game-end whistle. Yep, they did it! Made a goal... just one was enough for all of us. Japan won 1-0 on the 1st game toward the WorldCup.

Moment of a little relief.

Another story for today is another series of conversation between Tommy and Boss Okada.

Tommy found that this work place had put up some ideal... that NO OT on Wednesdays. He saw a sign... I didn't even know until he told me so. No one ever raised such to us so far. Anyhow, at the same time of yesterday when Tommy asked questions, subject conversation was made.

In fact, I saw so many people leaving work on time... many of them were even ahead of me.. very fast and quick. Anyway, Tommy reported Okada that all assigned for the day was complete. Then he popped a question.

"Today, NO OT Day... aren't you going home like others for now?!"

Okada replied with no hesitation, "Yeah we all know... don't have choice at this moment... I wish I could do like you all."

Well, sales force don't receive any privilege from working over time. All compensated like you know. So probably (which is my guess), no one in the sales department really cares.

That was true (about sales staff work like in the hell... no matter when) in previous work place where "NO OT DAY" ideal wasn't even existed.

Somehow this came to my mind. Want to eat in at "Cracker Barrel." I miss it.

23:06

February 17, 2004 =So How Old?

Several responses. I guess many of you want me to stay online ALL THE TIME, correct?! Hahaha. I can tell that it is a good buy about Apple iSight for video conference. Well, problem is about the fund. Yeah, money... needed for this (and more!!!).

Easy Tuesday at work.

Wow, just found very interesting news on the Internet. Mid-20 male was arrested and questioned on stealing power in the train station. He honestly shows his regret on his doing... who needed to receive Email messages on job at that time in the station. The duration was only about 5 minutes. Though, police said, "stealing is stealing."

Hey, watch out, guys! Like Tetsuji Fukui or (ex) Boss Ito always looked for outlet to charge not only laptop but also others like cellular phones! 5 minutes seems nothing for those two men!!! (truly!)

As far as I know, (ex) Boss Ito did steal such power from outlet which had been occupied by vending machine on street. Hmmmm, he must be expert doing so!!!

Pork dish for supper. Stuffed?! Still on diet, right?! Yep, it is so.

New finding of "Bird Flu" in Japan... Gee. One bad news after another... Are we sick and tired of all these?! Mad Cow Disease and Bird Flu... what's next?! Cannot eat chicken and beef... We ought to try to be vegetarian for rest of our lives?! What would you think? Well, we can be all skinny then.

Key conversation for the day. Tommy had two questions... toward Boss Okada. "How old are you?" and following question really did crack me up. "So at what age a person can be a manager like you?"

Boss Okada is 41 years old... and became manager 3 years ago.

Keyword: Dinero. NC30K, SS7M, and S2M - Total Ty120Ogk.

23:02

February 16, 2004 =Usual Monday

Watching "Lethal Weapon 4" on DVD... while no interesting programs on TV this late evening. How are we doing, folks?! Must be fine day?! Well, it was very normal and easy for me. Actually, I better put a word like "no pressure" on job...

NATTO (Japanese word) - "fermented soybeans." Actually my dinner. Pretty healthy and this was something I wanted to eat for a while... Since I bought some packs of them on previous shopping occasion to JUSCO shopping center, it was tonight for me to come to such dish. Pretty good! Satisfactory.

Jet Li (in mentioned movie) - does he look like as handsome as myself?! Hehehe.

Vegetable juice was after the meal tonight. Man, am I changed or what?! Where are all juicy greasy foods like I used to eat in US?! Where are all fries gone?! Hehehe. Surely, I love them... especially the ones from McDonald's. Other like in Burger King is okay... Wendy's gives --- not bad at all... Though, Mac is the best.

Anyhow, Tommy (a guy getting trained with me at same time) seems getting a sick... didn't have much coughing... but certainly, sore-throat. So I should be extra careful about getting sicked from someone staying close to me all the time. Specially that kind of circumstance.

Since I had been absent to the Internet while my computer was under broken and repair, I can tell that I was quite missed and for last few days or so, I joined many different chat sessions with ChanKen, Alabamian, Robyn (my darling sister), and more! Wow... have never stuck with chatting over Internet this much.

Indeed, I should take a serious consideration to buy and use this. Would you interested in chatting with me if bought one on my own? If so, please let me hear your opinion.

No more Rolex?! Has it been up to Yahoo! Auction? Got to be kidding?! Hmmmm.

"G-Shock" watch by Casio? What happened?

True. This is my everyday-watch since new job began! How come?! Tired of expensive watch like the one I used to put on everyday?! Not so fast. Since training in progress, I have lots of physical work to do... so I really thought that it would be wise to stick with something like that... rather than Rolex or other (precious) watches come to get lots of scratches. So bear with me for a while... till when I come back on usual desk work! No bold-design / vivid-colored ties, either! See collection if necessary... just in case you don't know what I mean. Hahaha.

I know, you may say, "Tak and G-Shock cannot be together in same criteria."

About 9 days to go... for next pay check!!!

22:51

February 15, 2004 =Love Actually

It would be perfect... if the time were about Christmas. Somehow... somewhat... movie "Love Actually" is in theaters these days in Japan. Story was strictly about love or affection over Christmas season. Obviously wrong time setting for Japanese views at this time of year!

Man, I thought that it would be much better than "actually" it was.

Man, the story wasn't that well-described to me... didn't impress much. Good family movie, though. I can give only so-so rate to this piece of work.

Tak's rating on movie "Love Actually" : C- ("C+" if over Holiday season)

Pastry called "C'est La Saison" in Sagamihara

This place is very famous... and lose to where I live! Wow... the introduction of this pastry shop is even in many magazines and books! Stopped over for cake and coffee. MoonFlower's new favorite. Good to know and have this kind of place around!

New gadget?! Got to be kidding! Hahaha, not true.

This new camera isn't mine... unfortunately. Yeah, I am broke as usual... This is Casio camera that recently MoonFlower bought for her own use. Man, must be really nice. Darn nice! Very small. Smaller than mine. Annoys me (Hey, I don't say, "Pisses me off, " though).

23:49

February 14, 2004 =St. Valentine's 2004

Happy St. Valentine's Day! Have you got flowers or gifts from your loved ones?! I wish that really happened to each one of you. I know, those who are frequent readers of this web page are very mature and highly educated... must be making this day very special and memorable for your precious.

Anyhow, I have to remind that, in Japan, on St. Valentine's Day, women are supposed to send chocolates, as a symbol of their feelings, to men.

Means, I should get something... I should've had. Means... didn't have any! How come?! Didn't I have girlfriend or at least someone in similar status?! I must have... or I must have been dreaming?! Hehehe.

Surely, went out with someone for today (as usual).

"Jiyugaoka" - in Tokyo. About 55 minutes away from Tak's apartment by train.

Where did we go?!

Famous and very popular "Sweet Forest" in the area.
This is like a museum for cakes and sweets.

Very crowded... very small place, it was.

Too crowded and couldn't find seats for two... so decided NOT to stop for eat.

In this area, many cafe and restaurants around. Means, I didn't come to a trouble finding another fancy place for coffee... "Mont Blanc" was the place we ended up and had this:

Chestnut cake. Very good.

Anyway... and lastly, NO CHOCOLATES (somehow).

0:32+1

February 13, 2004 =Friday, the 13th?

Oh boy. Was that bad day for you?! It was trouble-free for me. Thank Goodness. Had one hour OT today and came back around 7pm. Decided to go out and ate in Matsuya restaurant, shopped in JUSCO shopping center, and had coffee and Internet browsing in Mr. Doughnuts. Internet access via Yahoo!BB Mobile.

Matsuya no longer serve beef dish... due to the ban on import of US beef!!! So chose and enjoyed pork dish, instead. THAT pork... imported?! Don't think it was pure domestic product in my opinion.

"Would you like to come to my department instead of sales department that you will belong to?!"

Man, didn't mean to mislead one of managerial fellows into wrong (still different?) impression on me. Have I impressed people like that much?!?! Man, I must have done great pretending that creates a good "serious" and "hardworking" image of a fellow. Hahaha. I must be really good! Hahaha.

Code: 1K5Z

Not candles... some kind of molded parts. 100 of them were packed in a box and I had to deal with 500... I have to do leak test on specially-designed equipment for this particular product. Part of my leaning process on training. Was it fun?! Definitely NOT. Nothing but truly physical!!! I had to do all job while standing! Started around 10:30am and finished this all up around 6pm! (Of course, I had lunch break)

Hey, it was very detailed process... in that test. Did as specifically instructed. Not because I was slow... it was SLOW PROCESS! Got it, moron!

I should've taken one with me home as my souvenir for today! Hehehe. Who cares about customers!!! (Just kidding)

Spent about 40 dollars for grocery for following week. Ready for Monday?! Hey, wait a minute. Not yet!!! My weekend is just begun. Leave me alone, will ya!

Happened to check my school in North Carolina. Brevard College has renewed its web page and there was a section for alumni to register their current email address and URL. Needless to say, I did register my information.

Well, St. Valentines'...

February 12, 2004 =Truly Back

Hello there... well I have to say this first. Today's update is going to be very short. Yeah, I just received my PowerBook via parcel service this evening. Yeah, about time!!!

Means, I am currently working on this (PowerBook) computer to be set as used to be. From Photoshop to minor (very infamous) software like dictionary utilities, etc. Heavy duty... to be honest with ya! You know how much I work on computers... so.

One more day to go! Already ready for weekend. And you?

Today's work was nothing serious. I had lots of time for chat with Tommy on same (training) program. How he is turns to be very interesting to me. Amused me a little, too. Getting used to how he is and find lots of differences from my character.

Now, three computers I use for myself... Sounds too crazy, huh.

Well, past my bed time. Let me go off line.

February 11, 2004 =Glen Eira

Glen Eira - sounds familiar?! One city in Australia... that I have been to. Long time ago like over a decade. It was called "Caulfield" - renamed as "Glen Eira."

City of Ogaki and Glen Eira stand close as called "Friendly City." Just like sister city and the like. Anyhow, local newspaper said that Ogaki recently sent monument to Glen Eira to be a part of Japanese garden next to its city hall... to symbolize the relationship of two cities.

In this picture, old man on left is Mayor of Ogaki... Bin Ogawa and lady on the other side is of Glen Eira.

"Cement of Friendship" said on the monument.

Oh, don't let me forget to mention of this... the prize on 123,456th hit on Japanese page. There was a winner! Someone I know. From previous job! It was Naohiko Tasei in Narita (Tokyo) Airport Branch. Good for you, my friend!

Perfect proof! Well done!

Prize will be arranged shortly. Please bear with me for a month or two! Hahaha.

23:20

February 10, 2004 =Japanese Updated

Now Japanese page got updated. 1st time in a week or so! Finally!!! Sorry about all troubles I may have caused... specially about not letting you have any entertainment online!

English page... as you read, I am writing all from the past of a week or so. Tough writing?! Yeah, lots of writing. I may lose energy to write even Japanese page for today's update.

Work is okay and very normal. No pressure. No hard working... oops. Still OJT in progress. That's why.

23:11+1

February 9, 2004 =Installing Many Software

Yep, still working on PowerBookG3 to hook up with Internet and installing all software I use like Adobe GoLive, etc.

Will be right back! Stay tuned!

23:02+2

February 8, 2004 =Another Way to Fix Up

Cannot be patient any longer?! Decided to take PowerBook away from someone... someone very close. In fact, it is MINE! Yep, I still possess another piece of hardware... remember? PowerBookG3 (PISMO).

Upon my request, MoonFlower turned this computer in. Now fixing up all necessary to get back to my usual computing style. Have to install lots of unique and still original software to do all my person job on machine.

May take some time to get myself ready.

Went up to an outlet mall with her. Close to my apartment. About 15 minutes by car. Didn't buy any --- except Nike sport shirt for golf. 50 bucks!

22:59+4

February 7, 2004 =Akihabara?

Showed up in Akihabara about one hour later than actually planned. Yep, I did sleep in. Didn't mean to. I may have been tired and worn out from the pressure and uneasiness from new work. What would you think? It was good to have a slow morning?!

Turned out to be okay... even though I didn't become the first customer to the Quick Garage... usually packed with many Mac users. There were only two there getting their machines repaired when I came in. It was 5 after 10am. I signed up and sat for wait. You know, only in two minutes, I was called upon and I thought that I would become happy camper after all...So I thought!

It didn't come to that way... somehow.

Forgot about my PowerBookG4 was unlisted from series of machines to be repaired at sight on any authorized place including Quick Garage. Guy - a technician - got a small pause and said... "Sir, sorry we cannot do job on yours. We have to send it to the Apple's center."

Gee, I cannot take my computer back home today. His say really brought me to the terms! Gave up on it. Chatted with him for a while to seek the best possible way to get mine fixed with smallest possible period of time... his suggestion was for me to come up to Apple Store Ginza to turn mine in.

Directed to Ginza right away! No tour in Akihabara today. Apple Store guy did exactly same thing that I did to diagnose the system itself. Same result, too. Then my machine had to be sent to the clinic wherever it was. Requested that my PowerBook would be sent directly back to my address... no pick-up of my own in the Store.

At least, entire diagnosis determined that it was natural cause and under warranty which was about to expire next month. Close enough... 44,000 yen or about 400 dollars of cost is turned to be free of charge. Thank Goodness.

February 6, 2004 =Quick Garage

No update! I've got to get up early tomorrow... so that I can be the first comer to the Quick Garage in Akihabara. This place... that I went up with old PowerBookG3 when having problems about DVD decoding (that was hardware issue then). Remember?! Quick Garage is authorized Apple repair center does job at sight!

Probably you don't see such service in US... as far as I recall. There is a counter and you can sit down facing to the technician who will open up your hardware in front of you. Interested?! If you would like to observe, please come to JR Akihabara Station around 9am and call me to my cell phone! (if you'd ever got the number!)

Good night! Zzz.

February 5, 2004 =Conspiracy

Day 4... no hope here. Some of you may start worrying about how I am?! I bet! In fact, I cannot read all Emails, either, for now! Not only on updating this page... also cannot send and receive any message!!!

Some kind of challenge?! You bet!

I did suffer from sleepiness all day long. Yeah, I should've taken nap there... though, I am still in unfamiliar territory of work... (new job, I mean) and tough to mange something like that.

Wow, I don't raise any conspiracy here... that I used to take naps while working on previous job. I just wanted to say I managed NOT to sleep on job. You know how much serious I am for job and ALWAYS dedicated 120%!!! Hahaha.

February 4, 2004 =Still NOT...

Day 3... without computing! I am about to start getting used to this way... may enjoy much about not typing any word at end of a day! I can go to bed earlier than usual... because of that! Hahaha.

I don't want to take your amusement away... but I should consider more about caring my life?! Maybe good idea, isn't it?

Work is fine... no troubles I made... Yeah, everyone who knows me well always tell like "Tak, stay away from troubles." Yes, Mommy... I will be behaved.

Surely plan to go out to Akihabara on coming Saturday for my computer to be fixed. Cannot wait.

February 3, 2004 =In Vain

Sucks... life is really sucked! Without computer, mine seems meaningless. Truly. No contact to outside the world of work and home... all stand in short distance. Hahaha.

Maybe it was meant to be... some kind of discipline for now. I should take it in good way (if truly possible!).

I should stick with TV more than EVER! Hahaha. Radio doesn't catch good signals here somehow... maybe everything tries to edge me to the end?! Hmmmm.

Tried to start up my broken PowerBook... in vain. No icons showed at all on screen. Broken (computer)... and I am (still yet) broke!

February 2, 2004 = Not "TOAST" --- "TOASTED!"

Not "toast" with a glass of wine or whatsoever. Just TOASTED. My freaking hard drive toasted. No kidding! That's why you see this update in so much delay!

No more computer in my life... at least for a while from this moment on. I can tell, at least, it wasn't my fault or misused. Just spontaneously happened... No part of MY liability.

Day 1 on no computer!

February 1, 2004 =2nd Month of Year

Good day?! Yeah, a little warmer than what I have experienced. Well, not bat at all today. New carpet... did look a little smaller than I wanted... means... to EXCHANGE.

I went up to nearby Kainz Home once again for doing so... Man, that area was PACKED! Road was full of cars - for many mega stores along with the same road. "Akachan Honpo" (like-babiesRus") and "Kainz Home" were the main ones for comers. Man, regretted to show up to that place at that kind of time!!!

Lucky enough to be able to park my car in good spot... not too far from the entrance so that I didn't have to carry the stuff for exchange long way. Customer service rep wasn't that bad to me who didn't bring all tags of the product back with itself. Did succeeded and received full refund and bought same design in larger size. Better fitting to my need for now. Great.

"Cradle 2 the Grave" by Jet Li and "So Close" (HK movie) - I watched from 4pm till 7:30pm. Both were pretty fun... surely, "So Close" put up plenty of sexy women... good sights! Hehehe. Good choice I made.

One report to share with you... after 1st month of year 2004. Current mileage, well, I better say "kilometrage" of my car Nissan Primera at the end of January...

Current kilometrage: 13275km (8297miles)

How about the kilometrage of this month?! After being in town - not included the trip to Ogaki, drove only 299.5km. 187.2miles. Very short distance, huh. Well, that's true... didn't have to drive everyday!
