July 31, 2004 =For What Today? |
Nothing really happened today. Got up around 8am and went to "usual" cafe for coffee and breakfast. Asahi and Nikkei newspapers were read through that meal time. Good deal, huh... paid 380 yen ($4) for everything. Yeah, I can do things cheap (that's what I am great about!).
Stopped by a dry cleaner. I was told that I should come back tomorrow with same (dirty) clothes. That store started big campaign from 8/1 through 8/8 about half price. So I made up my mind then to come back. Not big deal. 5-minute-drive from the apartment.
Ran into "usual" barber. From 10:30am. Short, short... AM TALKING about length of HAIR! Nothing else (moron!). Hehehe, sounds silly doesn't it. Good cut? Well, not bad. 2,300 yen or 25 bucks.
Grocery shopping afterward and it was about 1pm when getting back to my place. Didn't eat lunch right away... Rather, started cleaning my entire room from bathroom to main (living) room. Also took care of laundry.
It was about 3pm when finishing everything mentioned above and being ready to eat some noodles. After meal, I really settled to work on new wireless LAN base station bought yesterday. Hmmm, somewhat difficult. Wanted to connect to Internet as well with printing option wirelessly. Somehow, I thereon encountered some errors on my PowerBook and did try different things back and forth to see. Taking several hours on it wasn't good enough to complete the mission of the day. Lack of expertise?! Definitely so. Am not like pro- you know.
Then, Internet connection was complete. Hooking to Epson printer didn't come that quick. Checking Apple's site and Epson's out to see... didn't see sufficient information toward my kind of issue. After installing two different drivers, I finally got up to the point I wanted to come. Man, spent quite time on things... I know, it's always like this. fixing the system takes time and I easily spend half day or so. In long time ago, I even spent entire night to reinstall system to fix single thing!
Tired. Tomorrow? Undecided. Probably same coffee and dry cleaner. Hahaha.

July 30, 2004 =New Gadget Arrival |
Soon as finishing the work for today, I left for Shinjuku. Actually, later than planned. It was already past 8pm. I know, it was quite late to go to such place with some distance. Well, I wasn't that desperate... but moderately didn't want to miss it today.
Remember... "Apple AirStation Express" was reserved for me in Yodobashi Camera? That's why. And this:
Paid about 150 bucks... with PLASTIC. As you know, I have to push back such payment behind with such (magical?) power. Hehehe. Hay, don't have much money... in fact suffering from tight budget and too many bills around! Got it? Leave me alone, will ya!
Thank God... cannot imagine of my life without the option of credit card usage. "Don't leave without it." Yeah, it really does make sense (to me!).
It was almost midnight when coming home. Tired. Didn't touch the Express tonight. Will do all necessary set-up tomorrow since no events scheduled.
Weather won't be that cooperative for kids having summer vacation for this weekend?! Hmmm, that won't be a good news even to me.
What about work?! Too many things going on in the office... not really affecting to my job... though, I stay very nosy what products were hot or what, etc. Focus on my tasks?! Yeah, somewhat. MY summer time off is from next Friday. Cannot wait, can we?!
Good night.

July 29, 2004 =Good Deal? Good Turn-Around? |
Got a message from Yodobashi Camera that it has one Apple AirPort Express reserved for me. Wow, finally it's shipping! About time, isn't it? Cannot wait. I will go to Shinjuku after work tomorrow to get one!
Uh, I STILL have to deal with payment of that gadget, huh... I TOTALLY FORGOT about it. Who (HOW) would cover that cost for me?! <BAM.
I just used my only plastic for hotel last weekend... THAT payment even hasn't been made yet. Must be in debt... BADLY.
Today's work. Some good and some bad. Did schedule some internal event that was the kick-off of new product. Didn't come true. No one's fault. Just coincidence and I fully understand and will remain eager to complete that event!
Wow, Friend Ron-san sent me an email. He recently bought a new camera? Man, first digital camera in his life? Welcome to the club, man! He bought Fuji? Am very proud of ya. Hehehe. Hey, I do not get any cash-back or commission from that camera manufacturer at all!
Wait. In his message, he went up to Maine. Wow, nice and beautiful state... that I have NEVER been <BAM. He must have a great vacation up there... He must belong to nature... while I was in modern hotel or theme part for fun! Hehehe.
Coworker Tommy in Utsunomiya has bee busy for work?! So I heard. Am sure that he is on the right track to build good career. Buddy, hang on there!!! Am sure and we all are sure that you will do things well and you're, notably, capable for anything.
Friend Charlie sent me an invitation. Hmmm, "Open House" thing. NOT "house warming" thing? Same, right? Anyway... means what? He now owns a house? At least HOME? Good for you, man! Big surprise... truly. What really made you make such a move? I have to reserve an exclusive interview with him about his up-to-date. Don't miss it. Must be something going on!!! Hehehe.
Today's phrase - "DON'T GO WITHOUT IT."
Haircut reservation, 10:30 - Saturday morning.

"Hello, there. Sorry, I cannot show you how it all was today since I am currently away from where I am supposed to. In fact, am quite busy for now. If you wish, please lease a message after the beep (?) and I will get back at you soon as possible."
Oh, please don't cry for me!

July 27, 2004 =Crazy About Tak? |
Hi, it's me... who received more than several messages from female readers. They truly got impressed by me treating his girlfriend so well... Some of them even made a comment as "regretting myself who made a wrong choice on husband..." Wow, that may be too much?!
Ladies, you cannot lose yourself in being treated with plenty of money. What matters (much more than that) is how heartful it all can be from someone caring about you.
Most importantly, I don't give such great deal to my girlfriend every year. Just happened. Who knows of next year?!
My Tuesday. Bored? Not quiet. Stressful? Not that. I was busy dealing with contract settlement. Between my work and client, I had to bring some peace in the statement. Not fight over how to translate and settle each other from the event where both parties develop new technology together. Difficult to seek mutual point of understanding? Yeah, I know so.
In the afternoon, I was in the meeting. In fact, I presided. Members from Quality Control, Design, and Molding department came to support me. Productive? It could have been much more; but I shouldn't complain. Then, I had to stick with one fellow in Molding department... in order to talk about some event taking place on Thursday. Yeah, so I am pretty much booked for tomorrow and day after. If you want me to hang around with you... check with me for Friday! Hahaha.
Lots of vegetables for supper. Good one.
Democratic Convention 2004 in Boston... are you out there for it? Seems that Hilary is most popular and yet expected to run for president in near future?

July 26, 2004 =Pudding? |
Back to the reality... too bad, isn't it? I know so.
Though, it was quiet time for me this Monday and I was sort in peace. I know that there are lots of stuff going on around myself... I mean other coworkers have been running back and forth to take care of businesses... while I wasn't that rush. Hmmm, something wrong in that picture?
Not many phone calls, either, for me.
Kasutera "Pudding." From Osaka... MoonFlower's souvenir.
She went down to Osaka one last weekend before this past one.Good dessert making me so FAT! I know, as a result, I gained some over this single weekend. My fault! I thought that I didn't eat much and got some exercise... STILL NOT DARN ENOUGH! Unfortunately.
Well, I will spend LESS (dramatically less, I mean) and eat less (and cheaply).

July 25, 2004 =End of Trip |
Busy yesterday... and slow day today!
Got up around 8:30am or so and ran into breakfast. Stayed in that lounge for coffee and magazine... enjoyed super free service in the hotel.
Then, spent quite time in the hotel room. Suffering from sun tan yesterday... wanted to take rather quiet time. No sauna, swimming poor, etc. Then, we went on to a nearby shopping mall. Didn't shop... but we ended with "Spider-man 2." Yeah, 2nd time for me... while 1st time for MoonFlower.
Yes, I kept my mouth shut not to tell how the story developed from the beginning. Good job, Tak! Hahaha.
Then, Japanese food for supper. Finally, the summer vacation is coming to an end tonight. Spent it all? Yeah, DID! Literally I spent all I had! Nothing left and I will be VERY quiet for a while - long time... so that I can bring my financial level back to normal!
and lastly... one service shot... that doesn't hurt much, does it?!
Can you see well? Check your vision if NOT!!!
Anyway... almost a thousand buck spent!!!

Got up around 8am and FREE breakfast in "EXECUTIVE" lounge. Cool, huh? That lounge is located on the same floor as the room I stayed in. TOP floor! Yeah, I've got Hilton Gold Membership and I fully took advantage from such privilege
![]()
Garden poor, usually $25 per person, is also FREE.
Got severe sun tan from being there for more than two hours! Hmmm.Outdoor pool wasn't the final destination for the day at all! In fact, it was just prelude. Then, we went to gym. Got stretching exercise and some work-out with female (very good shape) instructor. Then, let all sweats off me in sauna and jacuzzi.
That was it? Not even close to the end YET!
TOKYO DISNEY SEA!!! You must not have heard ever before... right?! Next to Tokyo Disney Land, there is SEA! Different theme park still owned and operated by Disney.

July 23, 2004 =Beginning of the Trip |
Wow, spending time in Hilton Tokyo Bay. Remember that I told you that it was MoonFlower's birthday about a couple days ago?! You should recall... Anyhow, from this Friday till Sunday, there is a big event as the cerebration between her and me.
Large room for two. Not single (even King-size) bed... rather, TWIN.
No jewelry. My gift to her was THIS!
Famous artist Seiji Fujishiro. We went to his museum back in May.
Dinner? It was one of restaurants in the hotel.
Mediterranean foods. WOW!85 dollars for ONE person. Wow, too much?!
Then, live show - man, beautiful dance for ME? <BAM... not exclusively... for everyone in that restaurant.

July 22, 2004 =Surprise - That I Like |
You know, I sometimes use the phrase "Surprise, surprise!" --- since I like to surprise others (mostly female, of course). And I did it today.
Remember that friends from previous work got married... Shoko and Tetsuya - both worked with me. I sent her flowers today and got a call from her saying "thanks."
It was the first time for quite long time... that I sent someone flowers. I used to send them quite often... TO WHOM? <BAAAAANG!
She told me that she has been pregnant... WOW, she made her move so quick... that no one could keep up! Plus, she shared some more information of others that I know from the previous work. Some of them are going to marry!!! Hmmm, certainly those female friends in common are NOT going to marry ME! Hehehe.
Oh, better NOT forget about one (still single) female... that I MUST care. MoonFlower turned to be a year older!!! Happy birthday, gal! I had to send flowers to her, too? Maybe - I should have. But didn't <BAM.
Anyway, this weekend is going to be special... due to that above reason. Yeah, I have to withdraw as much cash as possible... literally all from the current balance in the account @ Sumitomo Mitsui Bank for this HUGE event. In fact, I am going to take a half day off for THIS!
What would you think of that?! Am SOOOOO dedicated?! Hahaha.
Won't be home for this weekend. Please don't even think about knocking of my door! Okay to mention such?! Sure... nothing will be left behind... no valuables home at all! I wish I would have had some so that I could worry of possible break-in!!!

July 21, 2004 =Preparation? |
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Still several days away from the weekend? Well, I have to share this with you... that I will take a half day off on Friday. Means what? 2.5-day-weekend ahead!
Why? Well, tomorrow, MoonFlower turns to be a year older... so we are going out. That's why. Will let you know what we do hereby --- as you wish! Hahaha.
Oops, cannot forget. Today, it is Kirk's birthday! Don't know how old he is to be... or better not mention anyway. Hahaha. Happy birthday, my friend!
Headache was still with me and, finally, I had to go to get pain killer in the afternoon. Must be from AC... it was too (?) cold while I was working at my desk.
I have to close for the day... so that I can go to bed soon. Make sure that you will come back to read all about tomorrow's ME.
Oh, surprise, surprise! Old friend... back in college time in North Carolina... Maria has written me. Wow, good surprise and that's one of many reasons that I cannot give up this website. You know what I mean. Anyway, will write her back.

July 20, 2004 =So What? |
Somehow I suffer from itchy and some pain in my right eye. I know, right vision isn't good as that of the other. Plus, astigmatism along with that "troublesome" right eye... ( none in left one).
Is it from fatigue? Is it of my stress? What would that be? Anyway, I usually don't ware glasses to watch TV home... or work on computer... Today, I feel like I should wear to help my eye. Pain becomes lighter? Well, difficult to say. Maybe doing things on computer is very annoying to my eyes... and I should quit? Hmmmm.
Very quiet Tuesday... all, including customers, must have been exhausted from long weekend... Makes sense, doesn't it? I bet! So I closed several deals internally... which I could consider as productive work. Though at the same time, another (new) issue is emerging. You know, very usual in one's life.
What issue? Well, "on-site audit." Yeah, audit. Customer's visit next week makes the management be so nervous. I got a call from one of senior managers and he showed a great concern... "Are you okay with what you have planned? Do not underestimate the event." Well, I did take it seriously and listened to him carefully. The advice was that I should call a meeting for all who involved.. and did so right away. Meeting is now scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Good work, Tak! <BAM
My old work - UPS Suzuyo started its operation in new office TODAY! Congratulations! Well, should I have sent flowers for that?!?! Hehehe. Anyway, I heard that there was a communication trouble at the beginning of the operation for today. Hope that it was solved within short period of time so that didn't bother its customers much from the event.
I certainly will plan to visit that new office sooner or later. Will tell you of my impression with, possibly, some pictures.
One last thing to tell from work today:
Two old guys at work... saw me in rest area late afternoon. Started talking about me... who were gaining some weight. According to them who knew from the 1st day at work back in January, they said they could tell that I gained some at least.
Hit the bull's eye? Not quite! Don't believe them!!! I don't gain MUCH yet. Still at 70kg level. Under control!
Oh, tonight's English lesson was, at last minute, cancelled. See ya'll in June (because next class is held in early June)!

July 19, 2004 =Should or Should Not? |
Just watching "World Business Satellite" on Channel 12. Reported about the popularity of "Weblog" -very unique and convenient software to build personal web pages... Yeah so many service providers open such services to their users...
Then, come to a thought... whether Ogakijin should move on to weblog-base?
In fact, I have to be more proficient in weblog and its structure. Don't even know that would work on the server... currently with Earthlink. From Perl to CGI... there are so much to learn, still.
It was "Ocean Day" and, yes, national holiday. Not for my work and it was merely Monday. Slow day, though. Oh, two new guys to the sales team as of today. Entry-level and they are just college graduate. Yep, typical Japanese style of employment. They got a job with company in April and now training period is over and each got assignment like coming to sales department, etc.
To Sagamihara, 8 guys joined and 2 of them were to Sales. Good number? Well, recently we let two guys out of the department and these new guys are definitely the candidates to fill in. Good cycle?
It was interesting in this afternoon... that I was in the meeting about new business start-up. Not literally new business... though, starting up a new specially-assigned (unique and still independent) task force for the business to expand. Somehow, I found it very interesting to look in to all kind of possibility and factors to compose better organization for that.
Hmmmm, may be more interesting than being sales? Hahaha.
Somehow... somewhat headache. Painful... a little. But why? Had enough sleep last night... Didn't do anything wrong... as far as I recall <BAM.
Wow, new iPod? Reserve one for me!!! Send me one! Will be perfect Christmas present for me from YOU!!! Hahaha. And, where is my AirStation Express?

July 18, 2004 =Arthur After Troy? |
Gosh, "King Arthur" today.
Wow, After Greece, it was Roman. Definitely, history weekend. Hahaha. As said yesterday, I would come to see this movie "King Arthur." In fact, this movie is going to open following weekend. Hence, it was pre-open weekend - I went to one of limited theatres showing this movie.
Tak's rating of "King Arthur" as B-.
King wasn't merely king. It was decent man... not only about being so hero and being very human understanding of pain and friendship, etc. Good moral as well. Same from "Achilles" in Troy... both were strong, too.
New place found - called "Komeda Coffee." Originally from Nagoya and it serves coffee with breakfast at same price for coffee in the morning. Very typical from that entire region including Ogaki. Yeah, made me feel like being home!!! Great to have such place so nearby!!! How come I didn't know so much about this place?! Opened back in June. Will become best customer for that place from today on!
Exclusive Sale over Internet by Makiko Fujino
"ROMAIAS"
I had never known even the name of her at all... until when MoonFlower brought it to my attention. Makiko Fujino is charismatic professional in confectionery industry. Very famous.
Recently, she sold two different kinds of cookies over Internet. Internet only. Just a matter of time, all went sold-out so quickly... I remember so since MoonFlower asked me to order a few. It was successful order and she got two cans of cookies. Somehow, I received one from darling MoonFlower in package this evening. Wow! Didn't expect to.
Very expensive cookies... and very sweet... taste like money! Hahaha. Just kidding.

July 17, 2004 =Troy |
Finally, "TROY."
http://troymovie.warnerbros.com/Must be from the beer that I had last night... Got up much much later than I thought would. It was 11:30am when getting up! Man, I wasted entire morning already!!! Disappointed.
Laundry was taken care in early afternoon while watching TV... Very hot and all clothes, pants, shirts, and others were put up to sun to dry out... did so quickly! I should put myself up to the sun to lose some (weight)??? Hahaha. It won't affect that way, will it?
And finally... I saw that this movie would be out of theaters next weekend or so... Hence I rushed. "Troy." Long movie... but certainly not wrong one. Rather, it was well-written story. Am not that familiar with such ancient time in Greece or whatever (!); however, it was very interesting about me loving women and seeking GLORY.
Plus, everything was about Brad Pitt, right? Yeah, just for all women in the world!
Tak's rating: B+
From 6pm till 9pm, I've stuck with large screen in theater. Recommended even though will be out soon.
Friend (from previous work) Shoko Yonekura got married today. So I heard. Now, Shoko Matsumoto? Congratulations, girl!!!
Apple finally started shipping its AirStation Express? Hey, I have placed my order and been waiting for one to be mine! Send me one soon! <BAM - I placed an order with Apple Japan... still not confirmed of its shipping yet at this point. Will be patient.

July 16, 2004 =Drunk After All |
Drinking... and being drunk.
With more than several friends from work, we had good time... GREAT time. I got a call from Harahira around 9pm that he would gather friends for drinks. Surely, I didn't want to miss it. So I walked up to the place friends and he went in. Got there around 10pm.
For two hours from then, beer and some mix drinks for me. Plenty of foods as well. Who were there? Harahira, Takeishi, Izumi, and Matsubara... yeah usual friends of mine from work. In fact, first time for me to get together with Izumi and Takeishi, respectively, over drinks. Good to have you both!
Therefore, no energy left to write more... Still alcohol remains inside of me! Hahaha.

July 15, 2004 =No News for You |
Am running out of topic to share with you for today.
Started with emailing... then, handwork. I wanted a female assistant to help me out... though, she was much more swamped than I was... and I sort hesitated to ask her for help. She noticed that I would do so if she weren't that busy... However, I decided and complete the handwork by myself. Took me about 3 hours or so. Wow!
Since that work lasted until 3pm or so (yeah, spent much time, right?)
Now just prepared a hot coffee. Under AC!!! (great feeling!)
Back to the story. After handwork, went out for appointment and at that time I wasn't aware (much) that customer, for that appointment, wouldn't be too happy with my quotation. Wrong calculations then? Hmmm. Nope, I just wanted to have much margin than that in usual (ordinary) level. My ego? Or just regular Tak? Hahaha.
Let's call this "intentionally wrong calculations."
Izumi Inamori (actress) on TV... man, she's very beautiful!
Back in the office around 5:30pm. I was supposed to join fellows from Quality Control Department for some inspection on my item sold to biggest client of mine. That has to be done within today... and by the time I came back to the office and went up to the place for that work, all things were completed and I missed my chance to participate in necessary job.
Anyway, What has to be done was done and we all could keep out good faith to our customer who would receive the items tomorrow morning.
Hmmm, good coffee. Haven't had even one for a while. Wait a minute. I must have lost memory... I had coffee in Starbucks last weekend, MORON!!!
Boss Ito's back in my communication. He's fine with new position and now asked me to investigate which plan would be the best for his Internet access from his place. Wow, he's no longer my boss... still he wants me to do something. Hahaha. Good to hear from you, man! I will check things out for you and let you know soon.
Curry over rice for supper. Spicy. Good stuff. Ate much? Not that much.

July 14, 2004 =Half Month Already |
Came home a little later than usual. As you have seen (read?), I have come home around 8pm... as steady habit for this new life cycle. Today, it was merely exception. Came home 9pm.
Hey, just a matter of one hour... SO WHAT?
In fact, not a big deal at all!!! I just wanted to tell you that I came home late. Not that too late... but still late. <BAM, shut up! Hahaha.
Got me very crazy... this hot weather! Almost (or possibly already) 100 degrees out there! Thank God, no planning to go out for biz. Planned to stay COOL and did so. Precisely. Hahaha.
However, I have to admit that I was fairly busy throughout today. Hard demand to meet! Could've told customer no... certainly I could have... but didn't. Accustomed not to say no to customers who support my life financially (even though indirectly). Hahaha... too much? Anyway, I sounded so annoyed and "lost" myself against such tough request being placed over the phone by that customer. Actor? You name it! Be my guest!
Should stop bragging? You're not talking about me, are you?
Then... putting the phone down... and making move. Had to go to plan worker to see the deal could be done or not and to discussed with people in Quality Assurance about hand-work which came to happen in the afternoon - and I still participated in that activity.
Should stop bragging? You're not talking about me, are you?
For single deal, I spent more than 4 or even 5 hours today. Very dedicated, huh. Anyway, thanks to all coworkers... things could be taken care and, by tomorrow afternoon, it will be all under control - I hope.
No wonder that I feel a little exhausted. Although, not that bad feeling. Rather, comfortable.
TWO more days to go... for rest. Oh will check a movie - either "King Arthur" or "Troy." Troy will be over soon, won't it? I thought so...

July 13, 2004 =Lesson No. 11? |
Hi, folks. Good evening. Somewhat tired. Ready to hit my sack... Came back from English lesson. Left work around 7:30pm and made it there around 8-ish. For two hours hereon, I kept talking (in English) and couldn't calm myself... too much. Hahaha.
From today, new wallet is with me... PRETTY DARN COOL RED!!! Call me sick if you want to! Yeah, I do admit am ALMOST color-blind!!! Hehehe. This wallet... probably, most thick one I have ever had. Still yet is big as Luis Vuitton's. Not inconvenient at all. Love this!!! Cool stuff.
Another item in read? Yeah, call me moron, WILL YA!
Introduce... home-made bread by MoonFlower.Look like done by professional, huh! Great job! She can do her own business even from tomorrow!
(means I don't have to work but just spend the money she may make? <BAM)Work was crazy for today. Got a call from customer (literally) yelling over the phone. Lacked some labels to the freight... She insisted and demanded that we bring the labels right away. Wait a minute... it takes almost three hours to get to that place she made a call from. I told her that it would be tomorrow... and she came back to me with saying:
"I don't care what you would do with this issue... though, at least, I told you to bring them up to me TODAY!"
What a jerk!!! No slightest possibility for her better understanding in this conversation. Wasted. Meaningless. Kiss my foot!!!
It was the beginning of single nightmare and I didn't even know that it would come to last all day long! Though, thank God about making that English lesson. Just needed some extra activity to freshen up. Yeah, good stuff.

July 12, 2004 =WALLET |
New arrival for me! GANZO brand wallet by A-GI ("Agioka") shop. Yep, HANDMADE!!! This matters most to me this time.
Small package and postcard with brief message for me!
Effective immediately, this wallet is primary for personal use!
On right side, name "TAK" has been punched. Cool, huh!
No, no, no, I wouldn't do as "Ogaki-jin." This won't make sense to those who don't know of the existent - www.ogaki.net. Got it? Had to be smarter. Nickname Tak is good enough.
This is my birthday present from MoonFlower. I know, has been delayed quite bit.
Anyway, only bad thing about this wallet... sort criticism I have for it is... lacking cash to be in this BIG wallet!!! Hahaha.
Too many things in RED around Tak? Sure... from eye glasses (brand: Alain Mikli), coin purse (brand: Coach), and my passport <BAM.

July 11, 2004 =Calm Sunday |
General Election for Upper Diet today. In fact, not all seats... just a half... The term for Upper Diet is 6 years and every three years half of the members are to be reelected.
All different channels... yet all special program for the election. So far (at the time 23:40) LDP (Liberal Democratic Party) currently in power doesn't come to an easy victory. There have been plenty of unsolved issues from Iraq to pension plan. LDP is losing its popularity and, instead, DPJ or Democratic Party of Japan may call itself winner in this election.
Though, this is STILL a matter of half members of Upper Diet. NOT that big deal like LDP or PM Koizumi will be out of the Office as a result of the unfavorable election.
In the morning, very hard rain... POURING! With big thunder sounds on and on... Yeah, absolutely THUNDER STORM was here. Then, cleared up in the early afternoon. Was exactly same in hometown Ogaki? Yep. It came up to be here today from Ogaki yesterday.
No movies.

July 10, 2004 =It Runs in the Family |
Comedy Play "It Runs in the Family - Don't Call Me Dad!"That play takes place in Theatre Ginza - Yurakucho. 70 dollars for single admission and MoonFlower and I did enjoy the show... Laughed too hard for two hours or so.
Famous actors and actresses... like Ryuya Kamikawa (handsome guy), Michiko Hada (man, very beautiful!), and Mari Hamada (very special tone of the voice).
This story was written by British author - Ray Cooney and I just found a site to tell you of the story:
IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY by Ray Cooney
1 set, 7 males, 4 females
Set in the doctors common room of a London Hospital, Dr. David Morton is rehearsing his speech for the prestigious Ponsonby Lecture, which could lead to his knighthood, when in bursts an old flame, hotly pursued by her (their?) son, who is hotly pursued by the police. Impersonations and rehearsals for the hospital pantomime all make for a delightfully frantic farce.Make sense?
Anyway, two of us... 140 dollars or so for the cost.
Yep, I paid it all!
Oh before coming to this theater... ate lunch in Takada-ya and both ate Soba noodles. Didn't know that MoonFlower wasn't big fan of soba dish.
No doubt... I paid it all... How much? About 18 bucks.
Coffee at Starbucks after the play, ONCE AGAIN I paid.
For supper, we ended up in (very famous) Hina Sushi. Despite of public reputation all over the media, we didn't think that quality wasn't that high like everyone really appreciated in all the media.
UNFORTUNATELY, I paid it all. Quite expensive sushi it was. Really was!
So all day long... I were like the wallet that didn't have any limit for spending of MoonFlower. Hmmm.

Still hot... this is killing!!! Might hurt some physically weak people... could die by heat! Please drink enough liquid and do not stay outside too long.
Oh, now on TV... my favorite pop idol "Ayaya" (Aya Matsuura). New song? I should check her official website for that.
How was my Friday? Man, started in the morning as I was caught by customer for severe question that I had difficulty to respond! Beyond my (limited) knowledge! Leave me along will ya! <BAM!!!
Probably I made most numerous phone calls on single working day today. Didn't count precisely how many calls made... though, I know, I spent quite time on the phone. Very prominent. Good aspect of what I work hard? Hahaha... could be... or not.
Today's appearance: yellow shirt with Benetton tie (colorful shells printed with navy-base). Glasses? Still unpopular gold Fendi eyeware. So what?!
Left work around 8pm. Very much usual timing of my leaving... and now finally into the weekend shift for me... and for everyone! Am sure that you wouldn't resist... too much (besides you have to work over weekend).
Came home and picked up dirty shirts and sweat-stinky suits while starting the washing machine. Let that machine work and left for dry cleaner. Dropped off two pairs of suits with a shirt that was most expensive among my varieties.
Tomorrow, I have a big event. Play "It Runs into the Family." Famous British play - so I heard. Wow, same title in the movie... Michael and Kirk Douglas were in the movie... Nope I haven't see it yet. Bet that haven't arrived (in Japan) here yet. Anyway, are they same?! I just saw the movie trailer... and will see that it would be same concept or story in the theater.
I bought two tickets back in April. Yeah, somehow ad for this play really got me. Exciting!

July 8, 2004 =Problem? |
Difficult?! Something I just didn't know? Faced a client and I wasn't that smooth... lack of expertise and BS? Ha-ha.
"Balled up?" Yet, did my best.
As a result, I've got two news... good and bad each. One pain previously existed is now (almost) gone and another (totally different one) simultaneously kicks in. Sounds like one heck of life, huh? Hahaha, surely it is.
For tonight, a drinking spree for the sales group to what I belong. With 2 female guests. Yeah, I did talk a lot... but still some others did more. Like endlessly.
For me, plenty of foods. From fish to pizza. Of course, plenty of drinks! Started with beer and finished with some mixed drink. Drunk? Not that bad. No second round after that place. Had enough for me and perfect timing to leave for home. Today's over! Adjourned.
Heard that economy was booming because of hot weather. Many consume more like beer, ice cream, and else.

July 7, 2004 =One A Year? |
"Tanabata" can be translated as "legendary once-a-year rendezvous of two stars in the Milky way" or something like "Star Festival." Can we see many stars tonight? Not likely. Gassy sky tonight.
Oh, I was told this at work today:
"You wear a tie as old men prefer to put on."
Hmmm, what did that mean? I guess, my tie was that appealing to that female coworker. Hahaha. Which tie?
In my own PERSONAL opinion... (surely personal!) this tie isn't that conservative like old fellows would like to wear. What would you think? Maybe it's time for me to go shopping? Wait, didn't I have enough number of ties in closet?
Another say I've got from different lady...
"This (handsome) should see someone already."
Well, what should I have reacted to that say?
Pattern A: "Yeah, I've seen someone" - most honest answer
Pattern B: "Do you know anyone for me?" - evil actor
Pattern C: "Well, let's see." - mystifying response to see any further development of conversationWhich one? Hahaha. What did I say? Man, don't remember! <Hammered!

July 6, 2004 =Stay Cool! |
Folks, very hot... and notably humid! Who can survive without AC?
At least am trying... trying hard to survive... In fact, trying hard not to touch AC! Am broke, you know! Even power bill does matter to me!
Mid-90's or so. Yeah, temperature-wise. Certainly I stayed cool when wearing tie and suits. Went out for some errands while at work... otherwise, I was quiet at my desk! Hahaha. Oh, finally I've got company car on my own. Old Nissan car... but did go fast and I was sort afraid that I may speed and end up with traffic ticket. Hope surely not.
So no further trouble what car would be available to me time to time. That's good stuff. Good to start the serous (?) business.
Scheduled some important meeting on Thursday... I was about to prepare all for that today. You know, many phone calls and other things kept me away from doing it and that's my regret for today. Hadn't had that many inquiries on single day before. Busy? Well, dealing with customer is something not that efficient... I have to go page by page to look for tiny piece of information that being asked by customers. So I can tell that it is taking very long time complete even single issue.
Was I sleepy because of last night (this morning)??? Surely I was. I almost fell a sleep. Had to hold on!
Hot... makes me tired. Still Wednesday, huh. Another 3 days to go. Anything for weekend? Will tell you later! Hahaha. Shouldn't think that much future yet... If do, no concentration for work... right? Am sure that you would be suitable to such case, ALSO.
Some guy at work told me not to put that gold glasses on anymore. According to him, I looked very old and kinky. I should catch the trend. Well... somehow those glasses never became popular around me. Hmmmm.

July 5, 2004 =Late Monday? |
Late Monday? Nope, already Tuesday, moron!!! Just came home... after too much drinks. Yes, I do admit that I spent too long time with coworkers and special guest from US... Surely, the talk seemed endless.
Began with morning gathering and weekly report... didn't have any time for anything else... Besides, I read a message that contained "defect." No way! It was sort misunderstanding and I had to jump into the issue and dealt with customer right away.
Cleared up that misconception that customer had instantly and then proceeded to be steady thereafter.
What time is it now? Past midnight for 120% sure and let's see... it is 1:35am. Yeah, how much time left for my sounded sleep? Probably not good one for tonight. Hahaha.
In the afternoon, things were more about domestic issue... Problems? Not that bad to define that way... though, one thing another kept me busy and it was so quick for me to see that it was already 6pm when the time is to go home for everyone.
Anyway, I should hit my sack... soonest possible for tomorrow, agree?

July 4, 2004 =July 4th! |
Am beat. No energy left to keep writing something for you!
Up around 8am... very unusual weekend pattern? Well, I had something in my mind that I ought to get up early every weekend like weekdays. Intend to have some extra time in early morning to take care of things like chore, etc. Like yesterday, I could go to see a movie at noon after laundry was done and a coffee at Starbucks. Better productivity. No wasting time weekend.
Driving all day long and this makes me so beat now.
Picked up MoonFlower around 11am in Yokohama... then went on to Aoyama, Tokyo. Parked car and walked around for shopping. Yep new wallet is reserved! Will pick it up next weekend. Had coffee (even though I drank pineapple juice) in same area.
Drove on to Nihonbashi, Hamamatsu-cho (used to work in that area) and Shinagawa... heck of a long drive!
For supper, wanted to eat something MEAT. Sought BBQ place... though, didn't have luck then. Gave up and ate Ramen noodles.
You know, JULY 4th --- time for BBQ, right? Hahaha... just a coincidence.
Barely made home... not much energy left like I said. Good night!

July 2, 2004 =Summer Bonus |
Well done! Great job!
Ogaki's representative - Seino baseball team grabbed a ticket to Tokyo Dome
for National Championship this summer!
Man, this has been long-waited news... good one for sure and more than good... GREAT! Most certainly, I will hold time to get to Tokyo Dome if its game gets scheduled either Saturday or Sunday. I should call some friends around to get together for a game!
Today, another good news... also waited for half year or so. Summer bonus! You must have already received yours... today, it was for mine! I had already known how much to get... so there was no surprise... but this event, no doubt, makes me feel so great.
What to spend for? Well...
Mostly, more than half of amount... say, 70 to 85 percent for debt. Remaining? Possible saving? I wish. I've got something like buying new summer suits and some special event, say, MoonFlower's birthday. Oh boy!

July 1, 2004 =Long Day |
Yes, I do admit it. It was I who ALMOST made two circles in the property of client this afternoon. Yeah, I found a girl (seemed very HOT!) with parasol... waking between facilities. Didn't wear any uniform of that company at all... and I couldn't see her face because of the shade of parasol. Then, that's why I ALMOST (yes, ALMOST) made 2nd circle (since it was one-way street) to see if possible to check her facial look out.
Though, I did NOT do that. Some kind of conscience? Hehehe. I guess, I still have some... or least?
Meeting took place in the afternoon... the event for the day and it didn't turn to be my pain-reliever at the end. Originally, held an appointment to the manager of the department. Upon the entrance, I came to find that his staff would come to the meeting on his behalf. That manager had some other issue to take care and didn't spend even a minute with us at all.
Did that make a difference?! Sure, quite bit. I wanted to have some ANSWER today. Though, person faced didn't have any answer... but just ears to listen to me! That was NEVER enough! Sort frustration for me. You know what I say!
Meeting didn't last too long. Originally (presuming to meet the manager), I expected to hold it for two hours or possibly longer. Actually, less than two hours. Good ending? Bad? Well, difficult to determine or judge. Could say:
"Like beating the air." Yeah, this is it. No judge at all and now I have no ideas for what I made efforts today.
Tak's look for today (to the client): Mikli eye glasses (!), Versace tie and purple shirt, grey suits and Renoma leather shoes.
For lunch? Ate in the service area (of the toll express road). What did I eat? Oh, pork dish. No beef, please!
Almost weekend. Finally! I will do all necessary in order to finish (cut out?) the work around 7-ish at night. I promise! You know, what I say is what I do and what is to happen.
July begins. 7th month of year, huh. Time is really flying. Tough to catch up, isn't it?
