Tak's Milestone: December, 2004
|
December 31, 2004 =End of 2004 |
Okay, last day of the year - 2004! Was yours good one? Surely hope so. Mine?! Yeah, somewhat peaceful and I did enjoy. Of course, I wish MORE for next year... the beginning is just around the corner! I do my best to make all wish come true. You too try HARD.
Here, my TOP 10 list for 2004 is now completed.
Tak: Ogaki-jin's 2004 TOP 10 LIST
#1 Pain and Dentist You know, I don't miss check-up with dentist every six month. Though, this one couldn't be found. One bad tooth really hurt and the treamtment didn't finish within this year. Carried over to 2005... unfortunately. I will be more careful about this and NEVER the same again EVER! #2 Lost Weight Still imcomplete. Though, did lose quite... and still in progress. Efforts will be kept into next year. "Healthya Tea Drink" is a must everyday. This fact affected to my shopping volume this year since all clothes bought while weighted 30-40 pounds more in the past. I had to and still have to buy new clothes fitting to my current shape. #3 MoonFlower
Somehow Managed! Yep, we went through another year--- somehow and somewhat! MoonFlower and I had neither any (as far as I recall) MAJOR disagreement nor fight all year around. So here, ranked at the third place. #4 Hilton Stays 2 different occassion - in July and in December. Tokyo Bay Hilton and Odawara Hilton, both highly recommended. Next agenda? Otaru Hilton next year? #5 Hashimoto SV
English Class Joined the club in January... and made more than a few friends. Plus, I gained a certain place to SPEAK! This is first for me (i.e. important). I will continue my participation unless I move to anywhere from this place. #6 Shopping 2004 "tsumori" shirts (2 of them) were the best and worst? NO DIGITAL GADGETS this year (besides Epson printer). You know, I lost weight this year and most of clothes I have were bought when I weighted WAY more than do now. Hence, I spent quite bit of money for clothes from jeans to orange jacket. #7 Great Spectaculars Two theater visits. Great shows, they were.
"In the Forest of Valleyselle" in March and "It Runs in the Family - Don't Call Me Dad!" in July. Plus, Cirque du Soleil show is coming up (12/30)! #8 Tama University
MBA Somehow I was accepted. Though, decided NOT to go due to financial difficulty!!! You know what I mean! Merely, the tuition wasn't worth it for me at this point of my life! #9 100 Channels Spend more time on TV. FOX and other American channels are here... Yep, cable service came to my apartment room! From end of November. #10 GOLF
I SUCKED! I guess, golf isn't one sport for me. I should look for something else.Hey by the way, it is snowing this afternoon. How do I get back to Ogaki tonight?! Didn't choose train this time... decided to get a ride from my brother. Surely, road is messy and not favorable to drive through. Wow... do I get home safely?

December 30, 2004 =Last Date |
Last date with MoonFlower today. Wow, she yelled at me that I forgot to put "(last date) of year" up with the phrase. Wow! Is that really okay to add it like that? I have to see if there is really another opportunity next year... Then, this will be "last time this year." You know what I mean? Hahaha.
Ginza where we started-
Chinese dish for lunch and then went in famous sweet place, "Quil Fait Bon."Oh, checked all floors of "Barneys New York" Ginza Store (first time ever).
Then, today's and this year's last "SPECTACULAR"-
Cirque du Soleil's "ALEGRIA 2."
I have never seen CdS's performance before!
Man, it was way beyond good... great... AWESOME!
I would like to see other performances in future! If you have never seen Cirque du Soleil... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
Then, last even within the date with MoonFlower.
"Tokyo Millenario 2004."Unfortunately, this won't come for a while after this.
Between 2005 and 2010 or so, Millenario is off due to some heavy construction scheduled around Tokyo Station.Too bad, isn't it?
Anyway, great fun!

December 29, 2004 =First Snow |
Brrrr! Shaking all day long due to the cold (very severely cold) weather here... Yep, snowing from the morning. Didn't stop until late afternoon. Means, no outing for me and I stayed in... HOME. Warm enough? Not quite! Though, it was definitely better than going out.
Not only in this area... but also in Tokyo and Yokohama... all snowed!
Am sure that it snowed in my hometown - Ogaki, too!

December 28, 2004 =Gundam, GO! |
TWENTIETH. Yeah, I finally came to see the 20th movie this year! Same number from last year. Well done! Good job!
Woke up around 9am and rushed to cafe for breakfast. Didn't spend much time there to read newspaper or magazine. Rather, I went to movie theater for 10:40am movie. Which movie was it?!
GUMDAM - old Japanese animation... one of my favorites! Somehow that theater did have some special featuring from this week. All 4 main Gundam movies are expected to come and 1st of the series is here for this week.
Mobile Suit Gundam
The TV series of "Gundam" was on when I was still in elementary school... so I recall. Great old time and I loved this animation. Surely, I have seen this movie version many times... STILL YET, I wanted to see it once again this time.
There is no doubt that I will keep coming to see "Gundam II," "Gundam III," and eventually, "Gundam: Counterattack of Char." Can't wait!
Well, move was over around 1pm and I went out for coffee with friends. Friend Amy (female) and Takashi (male) are my companies for chat. Good to see them both. I saw Takashi back in August. He is going to doctoral program in Science from next spring... Wow! Good for you! I haven't seen Amy for long enough like I don't remember when it was last time to see her.
Anyway, good talk and great time spent with them. Too bad that I had to leave them behind since I had some appointment thereafter.

December 27, 2004 =Disappointing |
Kyoko Fukami is in serious endeavor from today on!
It was today that she had last day at work - UPS Suzuyo Freight Services, Inc. Yep, it is my last work place. She didn't quit. She decided to take a 10-month off (not paid one, unfortunately) in order to accomplish something other than duty at work. She has something in her mind and is going to Canada early next month for 10 months or so.
Kyoko with flowers - in white shirt.
Somehow this picture isn't well-done. We asked some restaurant clerk to take a picture of us then... somehow didn't come out well. My camera? Something wrong with it? Anyway, a little bit disappointing.
Anyway, GOOD LUCK, Kyoko and we will miss you for 10 months! Am sure that I can be part of next gathering upon her return! (Hope so)

December 26, 2004 =Nothing? |
You know, I have an extended family in US... Am sure that you know so if you are frequent reader of this page. You know, I have to treat them as part of my family... surely in the same way they treat me - in the past and for all future. No doubt that I spent some time to look for something as Christmas gifts for Robyn - my darling sister and Mom (her mother).
So I sent those - from Yahoo!
To be honest with you (really), I don't know which one was sent to Robyn or Mom... I guess, it doesn't matter after all! What was important is that I wanted to be part of their Christmas celebration.
Good job? Sure hope so.

December 25, 2004 =Christmas |
Last working day of the year! You know, most of coworkers took paid vacation for today and didn't come to work... For me, such experience, not to see many of them on the last working day of the year, was new. Though, didn't take much time to accept it.
Well, I try to LAST single day... though, I couldn't! I checked email messages and did all I could. However, everything was so easy and went so smoothly. Means, I ran out of things to do so quickly! Hahaha.
Surely, I cleaned my place... VERY CLEAN like I wouldn't make a mess at work! Hence, I decided to go home around 2pm! Yeah, I told boss that I would like to go home with your excuse! I didn't mind to make this half day off at all and did so.
At night, I came to have this great dinner as well as cake!
Look, dinner for 4... means this wasn't not between MoonFlower and me! SURELY NOT about her parents with us at all! <BANG. Rather, it was held by Boss Miura. He said he would usually throw such for his friends and coworkers. So I was invited. With two others - coworker Nakamura (male) and assistant Sekiguchi (female).
Full of drinks?! Well, two glasses of wine for me then. Ate enough for sure. Great stuff and great time.
What about this flower? This was SECRET and SURPRISE for MoonFlower.
I sent this to her on Christmas Day, in addition to what she got yesterday (i.e. rabbit). Therefore, I sent TWO gifts to MoonFlower? Man, why?
... Gee, I FORGOT to tell her that 2nd gift was meant for 2005!!! <BANG
Yeah, I was nice, wasn't I? Yeah at least, I tried hard to be nice. Couldn't be more! Hehehe.

December 23, 2004 =Just Around the Corner |
Today - it was a national holiday in Japan... called "Emperor's Birthday." Yeah, my buddy turned to be a little bit older. I surely did call him up to say, "Happy Birthday, my lord." <BANG! Never happened!!! You know, there is no way for me, an ordinary citizen of Japan, to get single chance to speak to the Symbol of the Nation.
Just like the possibility that you may be able to speak to George (W. Bush) or even Michael Jackson! <BANG
Anyway, got to work today while everyone else enjoyed last minute Christmas shopping! Hmmm. Work was truly light for me and it was almost nothing... (for your information - am not telling such truth in Japanese version which so many coworkers DO read)
SO SWEEEEEEET!!!
HOMEMADE by pro - MOONFLOWER. She spent quite time today to make those! Wasn't she pro bakery rather than pastry cook? Well, apparently she can be both! Sure, she could be even millionaire? Hmmm.
Look great, don't they?!
Anyhow, what is she going to do with them?! For sale? Am sure that I don't come to even single bite... Am on EXTREME diet... It's making my mouth water (drool).

December 22, 2004 =Long Drive |
Am beat!!!
Yeah, since I drove all day long to visit some customer's site for appointments (more than one for the day), I feel so exhausted and ready (already) for bed! I should...
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday... 3 days left! Yeah, just a matter of three working days! Soon to be done, right? Yeah, I really hope that nothing really will come up before the last minute to disturb this Christmas feeling that I have! Hehehe.
For lunch... I didn't come to a good food since I was in the middle of traffic jam... The traffic was relatively heavy due to, I guess, year-end busy period.
Back in the office early 7pm and came home around 8pm. Tonight, I spent preparing New Year's greeting cards for friends, coworkers, and some special people. How many do I write this year? Approximately, 40 or 50 cards...
Well, good night then!
No reader has claimed himself the winner as 150,000th visitor for prize! Are you the one?

December 21, 2004 =Feast! |
Good evening, ladies and gens. Finally, I came to the keyboard to type something up for you to read what I accomplished for the day! What to expect? Well, only event of the day took place in the evening.
Who are those OLD gens?!?! Where do they come from?
I guess - even though I know so - they must be part of us... Well, they didn't show such personalities they had while in class... maybe they were intimidated by the surrounding during the session... That's why I didn't know true (and hidden?) characters of theirs?
L-R: Yamazaki-san, Aihara-san, and Enjou-san.
English class called "Hashimoto Self-Voice" people.
We started at 7:30pm and finished everything around 11:30pm. Quite long and we must have enjoyed too much... Interesting thing (and the fact) was that I was, among that many people showed in picture, only single person. All others were married! Wow! That was because another bachelor - Miss Emma was missing tonight!
Watabe-san (female) standing behind on right... came late... so glad to see her to join us! Total 13 people. Great number!
Yeah, I wore pink shirt with pink tie for such occasion. Good choice?! Well.... it was merely that all other shirts - other colors - ran out of choice for the day! Oops!
Good night.

December 20, 2004 =Last Christmas |
Top 10 list is now opening... and the number 10 is out. "GOLF." You know, I played twice this year... three times fewer than previous year. What's wrong with me having so poorly played? Not talented for golf at all? Or just some slump? What to expect for 2005? Hmmm, that's a question... BIG question.
Once, in the past, I did claim that I would quit... though, I didn't commit myself to stay away from golf completely yet. That is true because, sometime in next year, I may take some lesson... YEAH, golf lesson. I know that there are several different classes available in this area... so I should be able to join one of those... What would you think?
Well, let's get back to today's Tak... That's what I am supposed to do here for you, right? Okay, okay, okay!
FINAL week... yes, last working week just began. It is up to Saturday when many of us, in sales department, are yet expected to miss (because no wish to work on Saturday, even though it is last working day of the year). Yes, I will be working then, still.
I was out for almost whole afternoon for meeting. That's the only event and it was flat normal. Like yours? Hope so... At this time of year... no one really wants to be in trouble! Wait a minute... I am in trouble as always! Means, I don't worry about to get in trouble any farther! Hahaha.
Anyway.
Left work around 7:45pm... No outing after coming home. I should stay and did stay home. That was because I NEVER wanted to miss last episode of "Last Christmas" on Fuji TV. Cute actress Akiko Yada is in the show... She is everything for me in that drama! No other things or actor/actress matter!
If you want to see what she looks like... search word, "Akiko Yada," to see! I am sure that there are bunch of pictures from her younger time to most current! Don't miss it.
Tomorrow, I will be drinking with folks from English class at this time. Not much drinks, I guess. Moderate amount - I mean.
Uuuh, grand finale of the drama on TV! Man, happy-ending!!! The couple made it!

December 19, 2004 =Lost in What? |
Sunday with no event. Woke up around 8:30am and rushed out for coffee and breakfast at usual cafe. Read newspaper there. My day thereafter was pretty much meaningless. Nothing really happened.
Besides, I went to see some (kind of) old movie. "Lost in Translation." Yeah, the director was the daughter of Coppola. Bill Murray was in it... why did he decided to take that role? Hmmm... though, I like him doing such roll. Very suitable. "Charlotte" played by Scarlett Johansson - man, she was CUTE! Looked so great in that movie.
"Lost in Translation." Lost in what?
Boss Miura told me at work that he didn't mind to see this movie once again... because it really did qualify itself so. I did have certain degree of such expectation... At the end, my evaluation? Not bad... not bad at all!
Have you ever seen this movie? Well, we really DO NOT LIVE in such crazy world like the story described in the movie! Am serious! However, yeah, I admit that Tokyo - the center of Japan has such face... where not everybody is aware.
Yeah, that was it for the day!
Oh, I have to thank... now more than 150,000 visitors to Japanese site!!! Man, another great milestone here. So glad to see such. I will convince myself even stronger than ever to keep doing this just for ya'll!!!
The AGISM - two packages and two fax letters are OUT!

December 18, 2004 =Bored for What? |
Laundry... done!
New Year's cards bought! (off the shopping list now)
Nap taken in late afternoon <BANG!
That's it. Really?
Oh, present for Edgar (Robyn's husband) bought. What about for MoonFlower? Yep, I told her not to buy anything for me on this Christmas. Yeah, she did ask me what to get for the event... besides Alain Mikli's eyeware, Mercedez, Apple PowerBook and other expensive stuff. Hahaha, smart, huh!

December 17, 2004 =BBQ |
Korean BBQ... just after work. With two friends from the work. They belong to different department (it's Quality Control) and it was so unusual that I do things with them after work. Well, it was exceptional... because of the year-end! Yeah, good gathering it was for sure. You should've joined us! To what? Great meal!
BBQ place called "Min-Min" near my apartment.
Very smoky place! Very famous, too!1st picture... shows a glass of TEA that I drank... NO alcohol tonight for me. The reason to avoid such? Well, I rather wanted to eat as much as I could this time. Yeah, was so serious about this food! Hehehe.
Two fellows - (L) Matsuken and (R) Izumi
Their faces already turned red!!! Too much drinks for them... Hmmm. How old do they look? Older than me? Well, I should leave that question unanswered!!!
So we all finished with noodle dish. COLD noodle dish... typical finish when eating Korean BBQ! Better than Ramen noodles? Well, I like them both... You know, I like so many things... All noodle stuff from pasta to Ramen! Hahaha.
Restaurant entrance with Matsuken's standing. Usually there is a long line!
Started around 7pm and finished by 10pm! Long time? Felt so short, though. Must be great time... it was!

December 16, 2004 =Full of Docs |
Yeah, it was truly the day for all documentation. For what? Well, I was, I guess, just behind of everything. From account applications to sales claim sheets... am sure that I did passed the prepared documents to Boss Miura and he spent quit time to skim through them... He may not even feel like doing so... but he had to. Hahaha.
In fact, he had a little bit cranky day with various issues. Oh, he should be out of such mood by now since he went out with other coworkers for second half of year-end party. The continuation from December 1st festivity.
For me... couldn't afford my time for even single drink tonight. Rather, I rushed to Shinjuku. Well actually, I left work before anyone else in the department.
Had some "secret" meeting with someone for real (serious) talk?! Hahaha... not that serious. I just had a coffee with new friend who became a friend tonight - changed the status from just homepage reader to someone I know. Hahaha, interesting huh!
What to talk about? L. I. F. E.
That gentleman I met was very serious and straight forward. Am sure that he will come to grab certain degree of success sooner or later! Yeah, I can tell... I can even SMELL it. Hahaha.
Home late... tonight. TIRED. Well, one day to go... so it is not big deal.
Coworker-slash-friend Harahira is now (once again) in hospital. For different reason from the one for last time back in September. Well, don't know exactly what's wrong with my friend... Anyway, I hope he gets well soonest!
Israel in Mexico informed that two friend - from the time when I was in Puebla, Mexico - Lilian (female) and Omar (male) now have 1st baby. GOOD for them! Congratulations! I hope I can get picture of baby to put up here for ya'll.
Israel, what about YOURS? When to expect? <BANG!

December 15, 2004 =Finally? |
Hey, I haven't been out... much lately... besides the time I was with MoonFlower... Means, I didn't have time to shop for Christmas presents. Finally, did it! All complete already? NOT that quick. However, good start. At least I bought presents for my American family in Waynesville. Yeah, Robyn and Mom.
Oops, I should grab something fro Edgar... Robyn's husband from Columbia.
What about MoonFlower? Was the trip over this past weekend everything for this Christmas? I wish so... at least I meant so. Did it work? Not quite. I guess, women can understand things very favorably for themselves... so can MoonFlower. Wow... so I have to do something for her on Christmas still? Hmmm.
Sleepy and my right eye feels so itchy. I would want to scratch my eyeball if possible! This must come from the fact that I have lacked the sleep. For last two days, I went to bed after 2am... I slept like for 5 hours or shorter with NO NAP at work <BANG!
Well, I admit that lacking the sleep really causes losing concentration. Don't have any for now (to do what then?).
I had to make one appointment while cancelling the other. Actually I wanted to attend the meeting that I cancelled to go to because it was informative with some "neat" presentation. So while missing some "educational" opportunity, I dealt with something like price negotiation. Hmmmm. Serious business world doesn't allow me to have fun?
Left work around 8pm. Forgot the clock-out. Have to submit a note to boss tomorrow morning to ensure that I notify the management that I didn't operate the machine for clock-out tonight.
Laundry is done tonight.

December 14, 2004 =Reason? |
Here is the proof that I am awfully BROKE... You know, I don't make much... and I spend GREAT! Cynical pattern here for me to go on and on... Totally my fault.
Today, almost 5-K (in dollars) withdrawn from my bank account! Not even a penny left in it! Seriously! Then, according to this summary page on Internet, I owe the plastic company for more than 1,500 bucks at this time of the month! Wow!
Do I need to go for consultation? I should, shouldn't I?
Man, this makes me feel sick... about how crazy I am... and I should hit my sack for the day in order to calm myself... Agree?
Oops, I heard that there was some mechanical trouble to access to this "ogaki.net" site... apologize!

December 13, 2004 =No Image? |
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know that some of you really wanted to say something against the fact that there was no pictures from the stay over the hotel this weekend. Told you that I forgot to take my camera with me! My bad... my fault... am sorry!
Although, there was some savior... that MoonFlower had her camera. Casio camera (red body looked so cute).
Ocean view from the cottage where we stayed-
I haven't received all pictures taken during the trip at this point. Eventually, I will - so I presume. Anyway, here is one for you... to see how great view it was through the patio of the cottage. Yeah, it was essential that guests do deserve some views to relax and enjoy the visit... Hence, this was great proof that MoonFlower and I wisely spent money and our time from this great view!
Oh, surely I told coworkers of mine about what happened this past weekend... Specially about mafia thing. They interestingly listened to me for the story... Then, they concluded that I finally made a connection to the dark side of the world. Wow!
Busy today? Somewhat. Went out for business issue and my cellular phone kept ringing... None were that urgent and important at those moments... Well...
Today's record - AWA 4.0 in November (great news)

December 12, 2004 =TRUE Story |
Long weekend is finally over. Yeah, stay in Hilton Odawara was still short but comfortable for both of us, MoonFlower and me.
From yesterday till today, I summarize what we did... just for you.
Arrived at Hilton Odawara about 12pm, Saturday and fortunately, the room was already available... so we did check-in. This time, not ordinary guest room... but rather guest house "cottage." 2-story cottage was very comfortable and made us feel very luxury.
MoonFlower rushed to beauty salon treatment that she previously booked. So I got free time from that moment for an hour or two. I walked around the hotel facility and ended up in "Information Library." I wanted to read some books and magazines... though, they were very scarce and didn't interest me much then. So I stuck with net surfing there (too).
Upon MoonFlower's back, we went to lobby lounge for late "afternoon tea." We were given 30% off coupons when checking in... and we tried to use them... NOT valid then. Well, those coupons were good for only selected drinks like alcohol... neither tea nor coffee. Oops! Too bad.
Then, MoonFlower wanted to get some exercise. Chose ping-pong. Did it for an hour or so... Very fun to beat her!!! Hahaha.
And dinner. I took steak course and her pick was seafood one. About 50 dollars each.
She wanted to have "serious" drinks thereafter. Moved up to top floor - 12th floor for bar lounge. We were escorted to the counter table. So we sat... actually next to some couple. As far as I recall it right, that couple was surely in the same dining place where we just went. That couple looked different from ordinary couple... since male company looked much older than female one.
Somehow, that gentleman started speaking to me like "Would you mind if I smoke here, just next to you?" I said, "Go right ahead... I don't mind much." Then, once a while, he talked to us... Then, I came to figure out that they were married couple. In fact, their wedding took place in this Hilton place yesterday.
Oh boy! Well, they have been married... just wedding ceremony didn't ever take place till yesterday.
Popped a question to him... "What do you do for living?" That kicked whole (scary?) thing off. The man told me that he is just boss of some mafia (Japanese "Yakuza") group. Hmmmm, no wonder that male boss is way older than his wife. To be precise, that boss gentleman was 37 and wife aged 27.
Boss bought me and MoonFlower glasses of champagne with strawberries in order to join that couple for its celebration. Wow! Those glasses were expensive.... MoonFlower had no clue what to do with it. Well, I wasn't as scared as was MoonFlower then. I stayed pretty much calm and cool for whole time.
I nicely told a bartender near us to serve them for whatever they may like for my appreciation. Well, it worked and relieved my "owed" feeling.
It was difficult for MoonFlower and me to think "What if not (he was yakuza boss)" - things were tight and he looked so in his appearance with expensive suits and golden Rolex with jewels. Finally, that boss and his wife decided to leave the lounge. When he made payment, I certainly did see... full of gold cards in his big wallet. Gee, he must be really the real one!
Today. Woke around 8-ish and made the breakfast. It's always great to have hotel's breakfast. Ate a lot. Then, MoonFlower wanted to have bath... so we made a stop to hot spring bath. Well, I checked that hot spring bath as well as sauna. Great place! Very relaxing. Stayed for an hour...
When female is physically energized... with full stomach, what would she think to do for her spare time? Yeah... she loves to cross things on her shopping list off!!! Damn right! No exception. So I drove my Primera toward Gotenba, Shizuoka for Premium Outlets Mall.
3pm, we got there... then spent more than several hours to look around. She got something as a gift for her friend and I had none. Since I paid all at Hotel and became something more than just merely broke. What would you call this? Way beyond the bankruptcy!!!
Anyhow, it was long... and somehow short weekend. Lots of interesting things gathered. Yakuza story... will not go away from my memory... for sure!
Well, tired. Good kind of feeling after all. Well, let's beat it quickly from this update!!!

December 11, 2004 =Hilton Odawara |
Last (pleasure) trip - yep out of town for this weekend. Destination? Hilton Odawara Resort & Spa...
HILTON ODAWARA RESORT & SPA
And you know what? Don't have my digital camera with me! What happened? Did I lost it? Not exactly. I knew that camera was hooked to the outlet for charge and I remember that I disconnected it from the outlet after making sure that battery was fully charged.
So... I must have left the camera behind... must be in my apartment room!!! Shocking... and disappointing.

December 10, 2004 =Another Party to Throw? |
Drunk... again! Out of control! Full of foods, too. Tonight, the section that I belong, within the sales department, held another year-end party since we DIDN'T get drunk enough last time (back on December 1st).
Coworker Mimura did miss the 1st part where we had NABE dish... some crabs and other seafoods. Am sure that he did join later on from the Karaoke portion.
Hmmm "I am sure..." means what? Well, to be honest with you, I withdrew myself right after the 1st part because I have to get up early tomorrow morning. What time did I leave the party? Sometime around 10pm. Well, started at 7pm... it was long enough to get drunk for sure!

December 9, 2004 =Moving Ahead? |
Facing some event... office re-arrangement is taking place tomorrow and half day tomorrow should be very crowded for it. Yeah, no sales activity or any internal issues. No so fast. Somehow, tomorrow will not go easy for me.
One appointment with client in the morning. Very rare. Got a call this morning to schedule that meeting... I bet that this is nothing but a talk for price reduction. Oh boy. Plus, I set an internal meeting in tomorrow afternoon. Some urgent issue cannot yield to moving. I guess, just a matter of business tomorrow, right? Sure hope so.
I will NOT deal with anything difficult other than those just mentioned. Seriously!
Long day somewhat and things seemed so mediocre... However, I admit that there was some pressure for some deal to make. Yeah, pressure always come along with money and time issue, right? This time, it is time-sensitive.
Oh, "Robo Cop 3" is on TV tonight. I haven't seen all three movies... In fact, they never looked interesting to me. "Terminator" is much better. Which would you prefer?
Delivery from Amazon.co.jp (affiliate of Amazon.com, obviously) was unsuccessful. Yeah, I live alone here and I work during the day time!!! Try NOT to deliver it during normal hours! Try later like at night when I am home! What did I buy? Well, let's see... what was it? Some book, I am sure!
Peko-chan sweets bag
Yep, this is what I gave the bag, as birthday present, to the female assistant. Full of chocolates and sweets. Well, I thought that it would be funny... since PEKO-chan (that little girl on the bag - the character, like Kitty White, for kids) on the bag.
Oh tomorrow... after work, there will be a party. Another year-end party to throw.

It was today... female assistant to our sales team... her birthday. She turned to be same age as me! Wow... and still single? (same as me <BANG!) Anyway, happy birthday, Kumi-chan!
I guess it was sort celebrating for her and definitely rough for me. NOT that bad like I would run away from whatever... Nope, not that bad. Though, at least I feel like I experienced something new. Experienced what? Bad apple? Then, we have to take it out of the box right away! Hahaha. Not exactly.
Anyway, difficult situation I faced and, to be honest with you, it was awkward to face it because it was totally unnecessary. Truly avoidable. Not my fault... no one's fault. Just a matter of business norm or moral. Never criticize anyone here... neither coworker nor customer. I guess what went wrong in that scene was because of inappropriate setting of the business-
Let's finish it at this point. No further comment.
In US - some bloggers were fired because they put some pictures from work place on their blog? Wow! I should be careful myself!!! Truly! I don't know exactly how such cases were done... Lots of inside information to benefit some outsiders?! I read such from HOT WIRED magazine article. Delta, Microsoft and some other corporations took such actions against their employees.
Hmmm. Do this page look that bad? I should be careful? Please advise!
Then, here is a question. Do I quit work or this website? You know the answer in my mind. No doubt. Too obvious. But I will be careful.
Heard from Dawn... Man, I should update my address book since her last name changed to... man, I cannot spell it out. Long and complicated name she got! Glad that she said that she would be a reference. For what? Shhhh.
What about Robyn? She should be home, in NC, by now... or tomorrow.
Diet tea drink... I still keep having one bottle a day! For almost two weeks?

December 7, 2004 =Facil |
Controlling my weight is not that difficult these days... somehow. Yeah, I can tell clearly there is downward trend... GREAT! Drinking healthy tea everyday for last two weeks should be a big help? Hope so.
Not even started my Christmas shopping yet. I should have started... Really behind the schedule.
Friend Ron-san in Atlanta wrote me... great to hear from that big man!!! Hahaha. He postponed his vacation? Sorry to hear all that. Well, am sure that still great time ahead for him.
What about me?! Where is my vacation? Are you telling me that my life is like I were on vacation every darn day? Did you mean that? Let me think - Hmmmm, you MAY be right.
My day at work didn't last. Some issue came to a solution... NOT BAD huh! Well, at least moving forward from here. Will be busier? Expected not to. Will see how this all goes. I prefer staying in calm to becoming so busy like no spare time for myself. At least under current circumstance. I mean, I don't expect such peace world to continue for rest of my life. However, I will bring some change (surprise?) to my life... as well as to you? Hehehe.
Friend Dawn must be busy not to be able to respond my email? Neither darling Robyn? Hmmm.
Good night.

December 6, 2004 =New Jacket |
Hey, did I went to Ralph Lauren sales the other day? Yeah, I did, didn't I?! Well, somehow... I bought some other thing after that sale.
Wow, Italian made ORANGE jacket
I promise... that this is to be the last purchase of the year!!! Am broke... Have been broke... and I regret? Well, let's not. What I bought is what I have to pay... that's it, isn't it? Hehehe.
Price?! 100 dollars. Thank you, AMEX! <BANG!
Work? Long drive I did. 2 hours for go and another two for back. Good business discussion? Well, I felt very confident to talk about something technical today. Better than ever somehow. Did I learn that much? Not so fast... but I feel like I moved a couple of steps forward.
Single appointment occupied for all my work today. Nothing more than that. Though, several urgent calls to my cell phone. Some hectic issue forwarded unsolved to tomorrow. Will see how this goes tomorrow... I am pretty optimistic.
Tonight... it's a little bit cold. Well, not turned the heat on yet. I need to save pennies!!! So I now have a blanket around myself to keep warm. Not good enough... but that's all I can do for now. Poor thing!

December 5, 2004 =Windy |
Strongest wind in history - recorded today. Not by typhoon... but happened. Definitely, it is abnormal weather. Something wrong with this world!!!
Not because of that... well, it just happened to be... nothing really happened for me. NO more weddings today! Hahaha. Woke up around 9-ish and stayed in all day long. For what? I told you, NOTHING. Literally I mean it.
According to my schedule, I should have gone shopping... Yeah, Christmas shopping. Though, didn't. This make me to be behind the schedule. It's not big deal... because I have been really behind the payment schedule since 2002! Hahaha.

December 3, 2004 =Winter Bonus |
Hi, folks... We are all happy campers today! Well, even with some minor disappointment in the amount received... all got paid winter bonus. The magic number was 2.95... Means, average pay was of 2.95 times your month base for the salary. Hahaha, exactly what I expected! The amount I got was just 10 bucks more than I previously thought.
Good guess, huh!
Work was short... Yeah, soon as I got some cash... only in my mind was to "GET THE HELL OUT OF THERE!" Very smart and extremely RIGHT.
And I did! Wait, did I sound like very lazy folk like you can name one among your coworkers? Hey, do not put me in that category YET! I may be eventually... though, NOT YET! In fact, I did turn the request in to the management for half day off of this day. Had some medical appointment and decided to take such.
Work was problem-free and things in medical issue were okay as well.
Talking about tomorrow, yeah, I've got to go to wedding party for friends from previous work place. Both I know--- Yeah, they belong to same work place for now and they fell in love in the office. Oops. Anyway, I will see whole bunch of friends from that working place! Yeah, definitely looking forward to having chat with those folks. Especially for those didn't come to the trip last month.
What to wear for it? Please advise!

December 2, 2004 =Fountain Pen Back |
Okay, now it is back... in my palm! Montblanc fountain pen 146 "Masterpiece." Came back from the maintenance. Since the purchase it has been more than a decade!!! Yeah, I bought it at Harrods (so-called "Harrods Knightsbridge Store") in London... back in 1992 - I believe.
Now it is priced more than 500 dollars here in Japan. Incredibly expensive! The maintenance fee was about 55 dollars this time... not cheap... but necessary.
My precious...
I know, over so many different occasions I received such criticism that it was so crazy that I spent so much money for something like that. Well, depends on where your value lays... For me, it's important to have something I really like and adore more than any other alternative... and I keep using for a long time. This fountain pen fits in that category... so I spent the money for it.
Part of that reason, my name (full name) is engraved.
Plus, the writing with such special kind of pen is ART. Nothing wrong with that, isn't it?

December 1, 2004 =Haneda |
Today, Haneda (Tokyo International) Airport opens its brand new Terminal 2... and somehow I was there!!!
Brand New Haneda Terminal 2
Yeah, this is nothing but coincident. It was urgent hand-carry stuff to do for me... and I came to Haneda... I didn't know that the opening day was just today... until the moment I really got there.
Lucky?
I flew to Fukuoka for some delivery... and came back right away. Very long trip made this day so short. Fun? Tired!!!
And my department threw the year-end party already... so am drunk! Many people also went crazy with full of drinks!!! Wow.
Well, that's it for tonight. See ya!
